Order whatever the ^*@!% sounds good when you get there! You do not need to decide 9 months in advance not just where you're going to eat lunch, but exactly what you'll have. If you order something and don't like it, I highly doubt you will starve to death. It's just a *!&*$ sandwich!

That drives me crazy, too.

I'd also like to add that you should not skip a restaurant that you want to go to simply because your picky DH/DW/children won't eat anything but chicken fingers and french fries 24/7.
