Food & Wine ladies, I've added dinner plans for 10/19 and 10/20 to our itinerary.

Laura Careful about wishing for warmer temps. Last week we were cool and rainy. Now we have heat advisories. We are in the high 90's.

Marisa, I wanted to tell you I'll be praying for a successful surgery for you. I'll be tied up with LSU baseball all evening and I was afraid I'd forget.

Kingcrab We are 35 miles due west of the city. We will need to let you know when we have a Chicago area meet. There are Diser's all over the Chicago area.

I really need to figure what I am making for dinner It just maybe too hot to grill

Dinner tonight is going to be roasted beets, onions, sweet & new potatoes in foil on the grill. Grilled corn in the husks and lamb chops.

Anything to keep from turning on the stove or oven. The inside temp has stayed at 79 and the AC has been running non-stop.

Kathy -- You were the first person I thought of this morning because there was a brief article in the Boston Globe about LSU's win. I was happy for you, but I also wondered if Johnny made it through the game since it went into extra innings. I know you were thinking of serving extra refreshments. Good luck tonight!

I made an Asian noodle bowl dish for my dinner. I added a little too much sirachi sauce though, so it was quite sinus clearing. I guess it was a way of heating myself from the inside out. Liam had leftover pizza and Caili had some udon noodles but mostly salad. She had an entire chocolate bar after skating this morning (I figured she deserved it after being on the ice two hours) and a sample of a very filling bread at the farmer's market this afternoon. I don't think she was hungry.

Yes, we both made it through the game. Unfortunately tonight's game is in a rain delay.

I only ask because they seem to play better when I'm asleep so I need to know when to go to bed...

Not sure yet, it's still storming. If it stops it's usually 80 minutes after they take the tarp off before they would start. I'm hoping it gets postponed to tomorrow, I can't be up all night, 6AM rolls around too soon. If they start to play I'll post so you can go to bed.
