The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

My wife just talked to a supervisor.

She said:

The automated system (via phone) was fine to use. It's just not set up correctly.

DVC's system somehow killed a BOG ressie, while trying to modify it, and they couldn't get it reinstated...so they're referring all guests to the dining line for modifications.

She said they know about the problem with the automated system not asking for CC#'s.

I hope this is true. Just got on hold with the main number... again. I hung up after I got through automated. Ugh. I think it's going to be a lazy day at home today!

Dvc agent I got did have to charge a penny to add the cc for a guarantee Whew. Now I can breathe

Well, after a long morning, I got a ressie for 4:20PM on 11/28. That was my second choice, but prior to our MVMCP on 12/2, everything was already gone. Not a huge deal, but I had to reshuffle one day. I'm hoping that a better time for LTT will come open on 12/2 because we're entering at 4PM on party tickets and the ADR is at 4:10. A little close!

I hope everyone gets things settled regarding credit card numbers!

Regards,
C.

I did not go through DVC but after seeing the post that some res may be dropped due to no cc, I stayed on hold after making my reservation,(that also did not ask for cc) saying I had a request. After 57 min, an agent came on and tried just adding my cc and it would not take it. There were no other openings on the date I wanted and she said she did not want me to lose the res because of this. After trying many things, I saw the post about charging small amount to add the card and asked. For some reason, they are not supposed to suggest it, I guess since a deposit is not required for the res, but since I brought it up she said she would try it. It took it and now I have my card on my res. If anyone else talking to the Dining line has trouble adding a card after making the reservation automatically, ask about putting a small charge on the card for that reservation. She put 1.00. I will gladly pay 1.00 to keep my reservation after this morning.
Also, she said they were updating their system this morning as well. They picked a great time to do that with this reservation opening. She said she thinks that is why the automated system was not asking for cc because it should have.
Just fyi

DVC wouldn't let me add the card like that even after I asked. :(

FYI: DVC just told my wife they can't modify any more ressies on their end.

Hope I had a CM who knew what they were doing :confused3. I just got off the phone with DVC and added my CC to my ADR. She did get an error at first, but after putting me on hold for a minute, she came back and said that everything was all set. I'm a worry wart, so I will be calling WDW-DINE later today to confirm. Geez, this is waaay too much stress for a Monday :headache:.

I will be so ticked if my reservation is dropped, but the lines are crazy and I have two toddlers about to wake up and I'm going on 4 hours of sleep. :headache: To say I'm annoyed would be an understatement.

I just got off the phone with an agent (waited 60 min to get to her!) and gave her my cc info to secure the automated rezzie I made about 2 hours ago. I asked her what would have happened had I not called to give my cc info and she told me they would have cancelled it! I mentioned that the automated rezzie line does not ask for cc info to which she replied "oh." :confused3 I would definitely suggest calling at some point today to secure it with your cc. As annoying as it is, at least you can rest assured that you won't have to call back ever again! :sad2:

Of course, the burning question is, "And what will HAPPEN to those reservations?". Ugh.

I'm on hold now with the main dining number. I'm scared to wait too long and it's easier while the kids are asleep. I am pretty cranky though, I won't lie.

I'm somewhere in the redial 180 range. Still waiting to get through and will soon have to do it on Skype since I'm leaving for school where cell service is a crap shoot. And I don't feel like standing in one place for an hour+ to make one call. So Skype it is!

I'm jealous of you DVC members. I'm just hoping Jan 11th isn't filled up or else I'm going to have to play musical ADRs.

When I get thru, I'll ask how long folks have to add the cc#. Of course, we should all ask and see how many different answers we get.... ROFL!

DVC agent I spoke with also was unable to resolve the issue and directed me to call dining later. We tried to just start from scratch for a new reservation (without cancelling the original first) but nothing was left available for the day we were looking for.

I'll be calling dining later, what are the hours to get an agent over there?

I told my 8 year old daughter about the reservation as soon as I had the confirmation number, if we lose it now she'll be crushed and I'll be really upset.

Not for good...just today. They're having system issues, and, after talking with a supervisor, it looks like those issues resulted in a cancelled ADR that they couldn't re-instate.

You had me worried that it may be mine that was cancelled. But it is still showing up with my other reservations.......Laura

Ouch, at POR congierge at the moment. They've checked Feb 2013 for me, only TWO tables showing for whole of Feb!!! (up to 18 Feb as last date coming up, all showing as FULLY BOOKED though). I got 16 feb at 6:05pm, which is an hour or so after we are due to arrive ar POR. Never going to make it. :-(

Wow I must have got lucky. That mine did add cc. I just checked and it still shows on the web site which I printed again

Yeah! Made a reservation for Dec. 19th at 5:20pm. Lunch was all booked up for that day but they had several times in the early evening.
