Cleaning out my papers and junk today.. put together another envie for Megan.

Just hanging out today, we made a quick run to pay a bill at our closest mall (small). Popped into Hot Topic, making plans to pick up some stocking stuffer items later. Spied a really cool Disney pin for Kingdom Hearts we vowed not to spend any money on "stuff" .. hopefully it will be there later. I noticed one of the young workers following us around the store. Oh please! Go follow the tweens goofing off in the corner, geesh! I know were "old" compared to their typical customer but uhhh parents are the one with the money. They should be groveling at our feet and begging us to come back with plans to spend spend spend.

Cleaning out my coupons today and have another envie for Bernice & Megan! Actually I sorted coupons last night, worked all day today, went to the gym. Tomorrow I get to work again for a bit and go grocery shopping. UGGHH!

Hmm, I have a problem and not sure if I made the right choice.. even Eloy thinks its odd...

My sis had asked me to babysit for her one last IEP meeting for the year plus to watch the little guy while she had a clinic appt for her middle son. Fine, no problems. On Thanksgiving she called, she wasn't going to my parents because she was sick. I called her a few hours ago to see if she was still going to her IEP meeting in the morning, she tells me she was diagnosed with the flu and she still plans to attend the IEP meeting (because they would still have the meeting without her present). I hesitated for awhile but agreed on a time to come over. I hung up, told Eloy she had the flu. He looks at me and says "she's going to her meeting and you're still going over? And she has the flu? Are you sure you want to be exposed to that again? "

uhhh, I guess so... oh wait.. maybe this is a bad idea.
I don't have the heart to tell her no.

Then again, I was so very sick that week and we don't know if it was seasonal or H1N1 flu ... thinking antibodies protection... and uhhhhh I don't have any health insurance.

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? I uploaded these to facebook, but I know some of you don't use facebook. Just wanted to share that I took a pair of inexpensive boots and "pimped" them for fun. Here are some pics:

Ugh. What a freaking day.

Right around the corner from my house. Makes me sick. I have been watching the news all day, waiting for them to release the names. Our police dept was not that big, and to lose four officers in one shot? GEEZ. Its surreal for something like this to happen so close to home, you know? HORRIFIC. The female officer killed was at Alex's school opening.. Both dh and I recognized her from that, and just seeing her around town. Its just so sad...

I saw it on the news too and instantly thought of my Northwestern hyenas - hoping it wasn't too close to any of you .

So....all family is gone , and I have the next two days off . It was nice to have his family here - but with our schedules it is nice to get a break once in a while!!!

Fortunately our weather stayed nice - we were supposed to get snow last night - but my kids were going to school snow day or not so I could get a break!!! (So good news is no snow and I didn't break any major laws)

More good news though....my Disney rewards points posted from our DVC expenditure (bonus prize - found out that if we used our disney visa we would get 500 free points). That with what I will accumulate (and had left over from Sept) will buy AP's for the three of us that need them!!! So February should be free for the family (just need cost of gas and food - but we have a kitchen)

So hopefully I can find a time to meet with you all in February - we will get up probably early Thurs and leave sometime on Saturday

That is sick and very disturbing makes one wonder what was going thru the guy's head at the time.. walk in and kill four people without any reason. My heart goes out to the families and to the community, I can't imagine the pain and anger form this evil event.

I survived an entire day watching my nephews and being exposed to germies. I've become such a homebody this year, I don't mind helping out.. but it felt good to be at my own place again. Mondays are usually my laundry, clean and menu planning day, throwing off my "groove"

oy.. my friend just called. Their triplets were born last night. She was 25weeks and 5 days. The biggest is 2lbs2oz and the smallest is 1lb15oz. So far all is well with them.. But I am just heartsick for them. Its going to be a long hard road for them. Yeesh.. What a weekend.

Were getting a teen!! It looks like my sis in law from Germany is coming to live with us for a year!! Im super excited about it. She is a doll, and it will be SUCH a wonderful experiance for her. Im a little scared about having a 17yo girl come live with us though.

That will be exciting and a little but I'm guessing by then you will have a bigger place. Or you could clip the kids to hangars in the closet, have the hubby sleep in the tub.. you know be creative

One of my cousins married while stationed in Germany, when she moved here it was fun for all of us to show her things unique to US and to MN. She was amazed by peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, she thought it was odd to have salty and sweet together.

Yes.. we are actively looking for 4 four bedroom right now. We havent been up til now.. waiting for tax return time. Now that it is right around the corner.. we are jumping on the housing band wagon! My hubby is so excited. He is BURSTING. Really. I have never seen him so excited.

House hunting is a pain, but it will be so worth it to have the room to spread out and go ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
