The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

I don't get growly, I get pukey feeling.
Eloy loves to just get up and go on the weekends.. tells me "we'll eat later" uhh NO, you will feed me NOW!

I hear that!! I get horrid stomach cramps if I wait to long. Dh can always tell if I have waited to long in the morning. When I start doubling over in pain... he starts pushing the grub.

I feel much better about this trip now. :goodvibes
Keeping it low budget and stress free. The only worry I have is training the boys to help Eloy dialyze :worried: We had Noah help today with the rinse back, he got queasy. Oh great...

I know Justin can handle it, but I like to have some back up in case there is a problem. We have a bit of time to get them into the routine, just gotta remember to let them have a chance. It's autopilot routine now.

:thumbsup2 Glad you are feeling better. I am terrified to leave my husband here with the kids. Seriously. I have no idea how he is going to do this. I have almost canceled about four times. (this week):lmao: He has never taken all four kids out on his own. He doesnt remember to feed them, or change them, forget BATHE them! It makes me cringe when I see how he takes care of them. Not that he doesnt care to take of them.. He just doesnt know how! Like OBVIOUSLY offer a bottle before bed, than change their diaper and THEN put them down. Nope. He just grabs them and chucks them in the bed. HELLO!! Hungry babies will just scream all night! Unchanged babies pee all over the bed! I know that eventually the babies will get fed, and its not the end of the world if they pee everywhere.. But what if he takes one to bed with him, forgets and they fall off the bed and get really hurt? Or worse.. He rolls over and smooshes one?? :scared1: I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt... But I really think this will end in disaster.

Hubby said write a detailed list, make copies for each day.. he also added.. he will likely complain about it, but then again a list is good to follow and eventually he will make the list even better. ;)

But see, you're home.. you're available to straighten up his mistakes.

Doing it all on his own is a totally different mind set.

If all else fails, he can call for reinforcements.. I'm thinking your mom can give him advice and threaten him with bodily harm if he screws it up, right?

I wouldn't worry about the smooshing, they are more mobile now.. they would move if it's a problem or scream head off in protest.

Oh trust me.. we are already working on a list! We had one when I went out to Dl last.. and that was only two kids!:lmao:I just need to get over having to be in total control with the babies. I do 99% of baby care... and I know what they want, when they want it.. Most of the time before they know they want it! I can read all their signs... He doesnt get ANY of them. GAH!! He WILL be okay! Right?? I keep telling myself that as long as I come home to the same for kids thet were here when I left... All is well.

THAT is it exactly.. They will start crying, and I will say.. Babe! The baby is crying. FIX IT. He looks at me like..:confused3 You know them better then I do! Tell me what to do! GAH!! I know he would try to figure out what the problem was if I wasnt around. Its not like I have NEVER left the house before. I think once I might even have been gone for an hour.:lmao: He has Alex, who I swear can take care of them almost a well as I do. They WILL be okay!

Perfect! That's the right mind set to have. All accounted and still alive, you can smother them with mommy guilt when you get back. They are still young enough that a few days of not so great parenting will not stay in their memory. No therapy session needed, at least for that period of time. :rotfl2:

Right! I just need to remember that! Didnt I go through this same thing leaving Alex and Kaylee when we went last time?:lmao: Sheesh! That was only two kids! Thats EASY!

I am off to bed.

Stop stressing.. grey hair is so not popular these days..

I haven't had to dye mine yet. PLUCK! :upsidedow

Booked our room today at the BW Pavilions for $39 per night.:dance3: Arriving on Tuesday, February 2nd...departing Sunday, February 7th.

I think I got all of our dates in there, if not let me know and I will correct it.

In the meantime if we change our mind or something better comes up we have until January 31st to cancel with no penalty.:thumbsup2

Let's not forget we also havegthe $100 Marriott gift card to use. I called them and they said it is good at all of their restaurants at the Convention Center Marriott (which I believe is also on our ART route). The lady I spoke with said it was also good at Starbucks!:woohoo: So I'm assuming we can use it at Pizza Hut also. That should buy us a few coffees and pizza meals.:lmao:

Does it get any more budget then this?:rotfl2:

Hello Ladies,

I haven't had a chance to read back too far but I can't wait until you guys are here! Yay!! Hyena party!! :cool1:

I am almost done with my Christmas shopping. I didn't spend a lot this year and my siblings and I split the cost for a gift for my dad. I'm really happy that I won't have to worry about racking up $$ on credit cards this year. :sad2: Ugh, horrible lesson learned. :guilty:

So far I have the following:

*Mom- not sure what to get her. :(
*Dad- chipped in for a Waterpik set from Costco (it's for your teeth)
*Bro- not sure yet (he's hard to shop for)
*Sis- got her a Ebelskiver pan from Williams Sonoma. She called 7 stores and they sold out. They also sold out online. Apparently it was on sale for 1 day only (last Friday). She had difficulty in having this one store place it on hold. It was on sale 50% off (came down to $20). Here's what it looks like: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/ebelskiver-filled-pancake-pan/

*Little Sis- I'm chipping in with my older sis on an XBox 360 game.
*Grandma #1- I got a small calendar from Michael's Craft store and it was $1. I had photos pinted from Walmart and put it in the calendar.
*Grandma #2- not sure what to get her.
*Aunt- I got her that bag of salt water taffy from DL last week

As for my co-workers, I am giving them lotions I got from a sale from Victoria's Secret and also Bath and Body Works during their sale at the end of last year.

I don't know what to get my bf. He doesn't know what I should get him either. :rotfl:

Oh and I went to Claire's (the accessories store) and found these cute Christmas slippers. I'm going to wear them during our potluck in 2 weeks. :rotfl:

The Ebelskiver pan is Nordic Ware, locally made right here in the twin cities. :)
I think they have an outlet store, south suburb-- too far off our usual area. We're northeast suburbs, or technically a suburb of St Paul.. but I don't identify ourselves as that since we are Minneapolis snobs. :lmao:
Nordic Ware is good quality, lasts for years and years.:thumbsup2

Hi guys!

I need some suggestions for some good books to take with me on vacation. I've read all the Twilight books already. I don't like romance books. Anyone have any ideas?

Okay ladies, were down to 60 days (or less depending which day of arrival).

I have three possible options for my Tuesday night stay, just a matter of deciding if I want to buy an Entertainment Book (HoJo's ENT rate $59 is available).

Or if I want to branch out to try the Quality Inn that's just round the corner from HoJo's , found a lower rate than their own website.. they will price match plus 10% off (it would be $45) and they have a basic breakfast. (decent reviews now under new management)

Or see if I can find a better offer than their own website for Anaheim Plaza, which I have read is decent... and closer to either of the Marriott than Hojo .. unless my directionally challenged self has that wrong?

Now for the rest of the trip..
2/3 (Wednesday) to 2/7 (Sunday) , 4 guests

Fairfield
4 night promo , pay in full $101
Best Avail $109
AAA $109

Marriott convention center
4 night promo, pay in full $79
Best Avail $99
AAA $89
B1, Get second room free $149

I have GC for Rainforest, Disney GC and one ordered for Pizza Hut.... meals covered. Woohooo!
Any plans to make at least one PS? Or skip it? I don't mind either way as long as it's not too pricey.. soup is my friend. Couple places I have never been is any of the sit down places in DCA or in the hotels (except for Goofy's).
And who is joining us??
I know Sarah was considering it for Saturday, Dizzy maybe available just in morning because I think she was going back home that day  and the Pixster :flower3: I hope will grace us with her presence....

And any family members too. The more the merrier :goodvibes

hmm, we should take over something ... Pirates, IASW, Tiki, Jungle Cruise, Tea Cups :thumbsup2 and a meet and greet with Mickey?? or something equally silly? (I plan to use the Give a Day, Get a Day ticket for Saturday since I am blocked out. No hopping. )

Any ideas?

PLEASE don't force me thru that annoying Birthday thing again. :scared:

:yay: I wish it wasn't 60 + - days away, I wanna go now! Weather decided to match the season, 30's and dropping to 20's at night. We had a dusting of snow, it's cold enough that it stayed around. UGH! I guess it could be worse, next month it will be in the negatives. I will be singing the blues with day after day after day of cold and no sun. :(

Our family will be getting there sometime Thursday, staying Thursday night and Friday night, and leaving sometime on Saturday morning. I do know that one night DH wants to look into Pinocchio's Workshop so just him and I can hang out (this is the first year that one of us has to work on our anniversary :sad1: we ALWAYS do a trip alone) We figured since we were already planning this trip we would have to include it too. So you get the Dizzy family on anniversary trip - but we WILL be there!!! :cool1:
