goofygirl....thanks for the website. I found it and a few others this summer when I first found out I was a match for my brother. I have been reading and posting on it ever since. I have met quite a few other donors and formed some new friendships. It's so nice to learn from other's experiences and then be able to share my own with future donors/recipients.

There are many people who donate without even knowing the recipient. I think that is one of the most unselfish things I've ever heard of. I've had many people tell me how unselfish I am for doing this....but really it's not. I don't want my brother to be sick, I want him to have a chance at a good life....but to give of yourself when you don't even know the person you're giving to is awesome. I'm just grateful to have been part of something this amazing.

Bless you! I have a friend who did the same thing. She gave a kidney to her brother a year or two ago. They're both doing GREAT! I hope you're both feeling back to normal (or feeling even better) soon.
