@Disney at Heart just south of Savannah in Richmond Hill.@KCO5988 What part of S. Ga.? I grew up about an hour from Savannah. Now live in NE GA.
Great! Family is still in Glennville. And I always stop in at Richmond Hill Love’s for gas, restroom, and a mocha latte at McDonald’s whenever I pass through to Disney World on I-95! You need to come to a meetup (early mornings, Hurricane Hannah’s, or DATW) so we can actually “meet up”!@Disney at Heart just south of Savannah in Richmond Hill.

Wondering if anyone has experienced this with their Garmin and have found a work around. I'm about to throw this stupid thing in the garbage.
I had a workout scheduled for today - 800m, 1600m, 800m at 5k pace intervals. Since it's late, I modified it to be time based instead since I'd be on the tread. Problem is, even though the workout is updated, and my phone says it's synced with my watch, my watch doesn't even think this workout exists anymore. It has also just stopped opening the calendar all together.
It's the second time this has happened. I fought with the stupid thing both times for about half an hour before getting really frustrated and giving up.
I've tried turning the watch on and off a few times. Force closing the Garmin Connect app multiple times. I don't even know at this point how many times I've synced it. Nothing works.
After a lot of fighting, I realized that by removing the workout from today, and rescheduling it for tomorrow, it somehow fixes the problem. But still, why? When it was scheduled for today, the calendar wouldn't even open up. Now that I rescheduled it for tomorrow, somehow everything is fixed?

i was having an issue with my watch syncing some months back and what finally fixed it was adding a dummy workout in the future to be removed later. It was like the watch didn't know there was anything new to sync until I made a new workout and added it to my calendar. It sounds like you ran into something similar. Not really sure how I got into that state, but it sounds like adding something to the calendar fixes it.Wondering if anyone has experienced this with their Garmin and have found a work around. First, congratulations on finishing another marathon. And second, I love this kind of mentality. It's easy to beat ourselves up if a race doesn't go according to plans or if something goes awry at some point and means that in reach goals will not happen. While it's important to look at what didn't go according to plan and learn from it, I think our mental health will be better long term as we focus on what did go right, implement what we learned, and not berate ourselves for what didn't happen according to plan.So it didn’t end the way I planned it, I’m still thrilled.
Why?
1 - I finished another marathon!
2 - it was a struggle but I managed to keep a sub 4 streak with a finish of 3:58:20!
3 - I got to meet new people and enjoy post race beers and food
4 - it’s a good long run complete with 5 weeks until the next 26.2
If this was a split challenge, I may well sign up for that one. I actually got to see WALL-E at Pixar about a week or two before it was in theaters. So I always have a soft spot for that film.Well I wasn't that interested until Wall-e popped up. I'm going to have to do that one at least!
I am fortunate enough to be in the same boat, I still like getting up early, but I really enjoy the ability to reschedule my long runs to just about whenever if necessary.Hate to brag, but I’m retired and I run whenever I want to! Actually, that means right about sunrise in the summer, and I get to sleep a little later in the morning each day as the sun comes up later. By mid-winter, if it is cold, I can wail until 9-10 am after the sun is up and my world is warming up or even in the afternoon if it’s too cold. I NEVER feel like running late in the evening or at night.
