The Official LOTR Fan Club!!!

I'm not getting thread reminders by email anymore did they change things?

CRB#33  back! and thanks for the screen saver...I chose Aragorn and oh my...I love leaving my computer just to have it kick on! lol I'll have to try the elf next!

I've been watching the movies again and can't wait to see what will be added to the extended version for ROTK!

Nice song FPgurlo4! Memorized! Impressive! ...I just wish I could have figured out a tune to go with them...I did like the one Mery sang to the king but I thought I would (barf) watching Faramir's dad eat! YIK!

Is it weird when you have a dream that you are hanging out with the hobbits? I've been having weird dreams lately, but this one is one of the weirdest.

I finally saw ROTK. I was determined to see it before it leaves the theaters.

There were 6 people in the theater. 4 of us were there by ourselves. (Gotta love going to the movies at 11:00am on a Thursday.:teeth: )

I read the books about 30 years ago. I surprised myself when I remembered some of what was going to happen. (I'm lucky if I can remember where my car keys are.)

I love all of the movies. My DH laughs at me. If Starz or Encore has the movies scheduled, I have to have them on. (Now that I got a DVD player for the TV by the computer, I'll probably be playing them 24/7.)

What an amazing trilogy! I was a long time Stars Wars fan, but LOTR has become my fave. :D :D

Dvcreg you sound like me...there were 6 people in the theatre when I went!...now I want to see it again, but it took me this long just to get to see it!.

I've been watching the Extended DVD's this week and am loving them! they are really worth the extra$$$...they really add so much more to the story...

The extended editions are definitely worth it...I can't wait for the extended RotK.

My brother bought an Aragorn action figure today and it's sitting on the computer desk. I may have to kidnap him.:teeth:

CRB#33 thanks for the screensaver site! I have the frodo one.....

IloveDMB: haha that dream sounds pretty funny...and a good dream too....;)

anyone see Hidalgo yet? I saw it yesterday...

congrats to all those who finally saw rotk! i want to see it again but my dad says its stupid so im trying to get him to just drop me off sometime....

:sunny:

was hidalgo any good??? it's supposed to be dumb.....

My youngest just came home for her spring break. When I told her that I took myself to see ROTK, she asked why didn't I wait for her.

I guess I'll be going again.:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I want to see it again, perhaps I'll go by myself next week during Spring Break. I've never gone to the movies by myself.

LOL, I go to the movies by myself all the time!!! I've been to ROTK once by myself (somehow got my DH to go with me 5 times) and I wound up seeing Pirates 4 times by myself.

I agree, the extended versions are definitely worth it!!!!! I love watching them all and I can't wait until ROTK comes out!

I want to see Hidalgo as well... seems interesting but I haven't heard if it is really good or not.

OMG!!!!

I saw Vig.. Uh I mean Hidalgo last night!!!

It was a very good movie. It could have stood to be about 15 minutes shorter.

But let me tell you something ladies. That Viggo Mortensen is just an unbelievably gorgeous man. It's a sin. No one should be that handsome.

Best Birthday present I could give myself :teeth:

His hair is blonder (Than Aragorn). He has that square jawed, blue eyes...oh my..

I'm sick.

I know it.

Looks like the best version of the Marlboro man I've ever seen.

*sigh*

:faint: :faint: :lovestruc :lovestruc

I need to grow up :teeth:

CRB33!!!LOL Glad you enjoyed seen Vig...oh, Hildago!...I'd like to see this flick too...I'm just liking him more and more as I am watching TTT this week...and my wonderful screen saver...LOL

and Happy Birthday to you!!!

PS...lately DH is traveling so much the only time I get to go to the movie is if I go by myself!....It's not so bad!...It just that there is no one to save your seat if you have to go potty!

I just read in "People" magazine that there was a shortage of tix for LOTR folk for the Oscars, so Viggo decided to watch them from his LA home with his parents and son. :)

LOL, CRB, you really make me laugh with the Viggo talk! Another friend of mine loves him and it just amuses me to no end!! I have to admit, I like him better as a brunette, but in general I don't like blonde hair much anyway.

Oh and Very Happy Birthday to you!!!!!

HC, I am lucky in that when I go, I feel okay leaving a coat/sweatshirt behind when I go to the bathroom. Maybe you could bring an old sweatshirt and leave it on the seat... hopefully no one would remove it!

Makes sense about the tix for the Oscars... imagine how many they'd have to get if the whole main cast came

We just got a 57" TV this weekend and I watched PotC on it yesterday... very nice!!! I plan to watch the LOTR on it next... imagine *those* close ups :p

Where is it that you live again??

Actually, when the extended edition comes out, we're going to have a LOTR marathon.

Starting with The Fellowship and right through to the end!

(We can do it at your place Elaine! :hyper: )

Ooh...I think I need a big screen tv before extended RotK comes out.:teeth:

I want to have a marathon when it's released, too...I might see if I can do it in my friend's basement, because she has one of those huge projection screen things that takes up an entire wall.:D

Can I come too? LOL
I would have loved to have seen it when they showed it in IMAX...
how cool would that be!

I purchased the sound tract today and it said I should have received 2 trading cards inside! I couldn't find any trading cards!
boo hoo...does anyone know? are they just supposed to fall out or are they hidden?

HC
