the offical brag on your kids thread -- everyone please join in!

DS is the sweetest, most caring boy filled with a heart of gold.

DD is an incredibly strongwilled child, that shows some fun sassiness, but also a huge capacity for helping and loving all things.

GREAT THREAD!!!!!

My DD's soccer team (under 12's), undefeated for a very long time, was slaughtered in the playoffs last weekend, and even tho the coach berated them (another whole story that pisses me off  ), DD (on the verge of tears because of the COACH) congratulated the other team's players that she ran into on the way out...a much prouder moment than any win. :)

I've never posted about my kids before, but seeing everyone's great kids, here goes:

DD just finished her first semester at college and got her grades, she did fantastic!!

DS was one of 4 HS freshmen at his HS to qualify and run in the Frosh/Soph track meet!!

My DD 8, reached 6 months post-op yesterday and they let her stop her aspirin therapy. She grew to hate Joseph’s chewable aspirin and it was a daily battle getting her to take it!! We had a tea party to celebrate. :)

(p.s., and she is now asking for books as gifts instead of toy's :) )

Luke (age 7 1/2) got selected for the school Drama Club. :)

Drew (age 4) is adjusting well to pre-school. :)

DS (15) is an awesome drummer! :D

DD (13) always tries to do what's right. :D

DD got the highest grades in her class this reporting period and at our parent conference her teacher said she wished she had a whole room of her because she's so kind to her fellow classmates, polite to everyone and eager to learn.

Can I do my neice, and nephew?

My nephew has several belts in Tao Quan do, and he has 'adopted' a sea turtle.

My neice is only three, and she says the most uncanny things! She seems to have a really good understanding of the world for her age. I think she is really smart, for her age too!:D

I love this thread! It is wonderful to hear about all your children!:D

DD Jill (5 1/2) has mastered tying her shoes. Jill has learned all of her senses and to match them all with the correct pictures.

DS Mitchell (19mos.) is learning to talk and doing well.:)

Great Idea for a thread

OK here I go

My oldest dd (13) has been accepted at the Lawrenceville School, the Peddie School and Bishop Eustace Prep for high school, all are great prep schools in NJ (but the first two she would have to board at and she is not sure)AND has been asked to participate in the John Hopkins gifted program, after scoring a 580 math and 540 verbal on the SAT's in 8th grade AND she also danced in the Nutcracker this season dancing not only in the corp for flowers, candy canes and snow flakes, but was also a demi soloist for chinese AND she is to receive a gold watch from the school district for getting all A's every marking period since first grade, making principals or superintedents list each marking period, AND most importantly she is a really nice kid with a good heart!!!!!!! (phew you didnt say it could not be a run on sentence)

My ds (12) made honor roll, AND his ice hockey team won both their thankgsgiving and christmas tournaments AND we are off the Lake Placid NY for another tounament in March, AND won most valuable player on his middle school ice hockey team for scoring the game winning goals for his team in three consecutive games AND he is gentle soul.

My yougest dd (9) my artiste has been a busy little bee making honor roll in school, preparing to audition for the radio city music hall christmas show AND will be attending a summer arts camp in Michigan at a school called Interlochen in July for acting AND she passed her pre-preliminary moves in the fields for figure skating, where in order to pass these test you appears before these awful judges who dont even smile, since they are with the USFSA---so now she can compete on that level AND she is a spirited artistic single minded girl who will get everthing she wants, and hopefully not more than she bargained for.

AND I agree where all have great kids---I say a pray everyday for all our kids, and a pray for all parents that we instill in our kids that even though they get to do all these neat things and that we are proud of them, that the world is big out there, and they must give back to it, and become active particpants in making it a better place

My 9 y/o DD is a wonderful, caring, tenderhearted soul, with nary a mean bone in her body!!

Her 29 y/o brother is trying to find an apt!!!!!!

Her 26 y/o sister is doing a great job as a preschool teacher.

DS's Sophmore in HS

His first Band Concert is tonight! We are going to take up a whole row in the auditorium with all the people in the family that are going!

I could go on and on but I won't, I'll just say he's a lot of fun to be around!

Congrats to all the kids for their accomplishments!

DD13, made the high honor roll again and finished 2nd in her first skating competition.

DS10, (I posted this already!) scored 3 goals and 3 assists in one hockey game, and got straight A's.

DD7, is a sweetheart and is doing very well in school, and passed her Level 5 skating in only one try.

Daniel won first place in the county for best haiku by a second grader. (Done in class with no help from Mom. ;))

David, my kindergartner, has stayed on green light for good behavior in school for weeks, and he has learned to read very well.

:D :D :D :D

This is a great post and BRAVO to all those kids out there and all these proud parents!!!!

One sentence....YIKES!!! :D

My dd has made it through alot of life happening events in the past 5 months and has done it in stride and with a lot of learning on her part and has remained such a great kid through it all excelling in school and doing better than I ever thought she would!!!!

My DS who is very shy and having a really hard time with his friends got asked to the Sadie Hawkins Dance.

My DD was named athlete of the month even though she isn't the best athlete on the team, she trys really hard.

My 9 year old DD is a wonderful gymnast, straight A student and so sweet and pretty that her teacher said everyone wants to take her home with them.

I asked if she was taking names and numbers!

She went  ;)

Report card day yesterday: DS7's lowest grade was a 94!:D :D :D

DS8 - Is a straight A student and thanks to Leap Frog's Turbo Speller, we no longer have a struggle on our hands to keep that grade up.

DS5 - Is in Kindergarten but reads better than most 1st graders I know and is an awsome soccer play for a little guy.

DD3 - Will be playing the role of the youngest Von Trapp child in an upcoming production of the Sound of Music and already knows all her lines!
