We will be at the world from Oct. 6-13. On Oct. 7th, MK will be open for extra magic hours at night, which means staying open until 3:00 a.m. Whoo Hoo! Does anyone know if the boat that runs from MK to WL still run at that late time of night, or should I say morning?

I believe that the boats will run later if MK is open later, at least it did when were there in July, but if I am mistaken I am sure someone will correct me. have a magical time!!

I've hovered around this thread for awhile now and have received so much information that my head hurts from all the info. :rotfl2: Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone can answer this question for me. Yep, the boats keep running until 1 hour after park closure. Or you can take the direct bus back.

I was going to post that the Green Flag Boat runs until an hour after the Magic Kingdom closes. But I'm not sure because I've never been at the Park until 3:00am. :rotfl2:

Just keep in mind during the time of year you will be visiting that fog can develop quickly, if the fog does occur they will stop all boat transportation on Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon. Remember you have the option of catching the direct bus back to the Lodge, if needed.

Have Fun.

Thanks for all the info on the boats. I seriously doubt we will be there until 3:00 a.m., but you never know. There's always the first time. :rotfl:

Thanks FlashScout, I do live in East Texas and my Dad lives very near you in Sulphur.

I have a question, Where would be the best place to watch Wishes so that I could let the kids watch and then get them to bed at WL as soon as possible for an early morning the next day?

We were just there last week - and the bell services man told us (in confidence) ;) to go to the 4th floor porch (the one above the front door) and watch from there. We didn't do it - so I can't attest to the view.

Woooohoooo! 18 days til our first stay at WL. I cannot wait!

My kids and I were watching the Disney Vacation Planning DVD and they saw the bunk beds at the WL. I didn't book them b/c I figured it may cause more arguments than fun. (Both would want the top...etc...) Right now we have Woods View booked. Do you think there is a chance of an upgrade to bunk beds when we arrive? Anyone know the price difference?

Either way, I am so psyched!!!!!!!!

We have 2 rooms booked through AAA for Dec. They only had 1 with bunkbeds avail, so we booked 1 BB and 1 reg. and are hoping that another BB room will come available. The difference is about $25/nt(courtyard view w/AAA disc)

We had the bunk beds at the kid's request. DH and I were worried that staying there for 5 nights, one of them would get short changed on the top bunk.....turns out, they were fighting for the bottom bunk. It was more fort-like with the wall light down there, I must admit that was the better bunk.

Also, that top bunk has the air conditioner vent and ceiling fan blowing right on them, the kids had to really bundle up to sleep up there.

At least we can say we did the bunks, but never again. Its no big deal. I'd rather spend the money on a view than on the bunk beds.

Does anyone have a picture of the view from their balcony that stayed in a woods /lobby view....any of the floors above WCC?

Ag, I work in Sulphur and married an Aggie.

We watched Wishes from a window on the 6th floor corridor near the elevator above Roaring Forks. It was convenient to the room, so they went in their PJ's. Wish I'd thought of the 4th floor porch above the entrance.

The other option is try to get a standard or woods view room on the north side on an upper floor.

Hey All,
I have been hearing so much about Christmas time at the WL; can anyone show me pics of what it looks like or tell me the reasons why they love it during the holiday season?

Tia! :)

Can anyone tell me what kind of Christmas music they play at WL? It is old fashioned Christmas Carols (Bing Crosby etc), fun oldies or instrumental?

Thanks so much!! :)

allears.net has holiday photos of WL at Christmas. Click on the top part "accomodations". Then on the left side, find WL, photos, text link....toward the bottom is "Holiday photos".

Any WL vets or recent visitors able to tell me if they sell baby food in the resort store? (I asked on the "Families" thread and didn't really have luck getting info there.) I am going to have to pack some baby food, but I am just curious about what kind of supplies they have there. Also, can I find fresh fruit there, like    ?

Thanks!

You can definitely find fresh fruit, especially at Roaring Forks, but I don't know whether the Mercantile store has baby food - never had to look for it.

The Mercantile did have baby food, but not the hugest assortment. I noticed it, but since I don't have to buy it, I really didn't study it. Perhaps someone that is going in the next week or so can help you out.

Taking a break from packing, I'll be at the Lodge tomorrow will try and check out the baby food section for you. I'll be home on the 19th that should be just before your trip.

Anyone else need me to check on anything for them?

Beckie

Now that the 2008 package prices came out, we have booked our spring trip to the WL (3/30-4/5)!
I cant wait to get back the Lodge-its been 4 long years and I miss it!

Since the kids are older-13, 9 and 6, I had to book a junior suite. Looking forward to experiencing concierge and having a bigger room!
