Do all multi-story buildings have an elevator? I have two strollers so I want to make sure to ask for a ground room if there are no elevators, especially since we will be there for 12 nights...thanks.
yes, they all have elevators.

We are staying at the resort for the first time in Dec. We have already paid for a water view room (yes I know many will say it's not worth it without the balconey, but for us, we just wated it that way). We want to request the casitas, the kids want to look at the beautiful lake. Can anyone recommend a good building?

Depends on what you would like to be close to, if you rather be closer to the main building, then go for casita 3 lakeside. If you want to be closer to the main pool, request casita 5 lakeside. If you want to be next to the quiet pool, request casita 4.

Do all the casitas near the main building have water views? This is our first WDW trip (12/11-12/19) and we just love the look of casitas, but we have a standard view booked. I requested to be in the casitas (non-smoking) near Pepper Market, but if most of the casitas have a water view, we will probably not get it. From the pictures CS looks beautiful and I am sure we'll be happy in any section, but it would sure be nice to get the request. :flower:

No, not all of the casitas tooms are wateview rooms. Casita 1 and the back side of casitas 2, 4 and 5 are not. Fountains are considered waterview too.

Thank you Buzz for your reply. When I called to make my requests I asked to be in the Casitas close to Pepper Market and a bus stop. I was told that I had to pick either the bus stop or PM, since I couldn't be next to both. I picked PM, so we will see where we end up. Is the first bus stop close to the PM or is it a long walk? Which buildings are non-smoking?
We will be happy in any part of the resort, as the pictures are gorgeous. And I think that I might like being surprised, and not know which section we'll stay in. 33 days to go and I can't wait. :flower:

LoveMyBoys,

Last March we stayed in Casitas#1, which is the closest Casita building to Pepper Market. The walk to the bus stop was very short.. just a quick stroll through El Centro. You should be fine!

Just a point you might want to consider.... We have not stayed at CSR yet but plan to in December but I have read (Someone please correct me if I am wrong) that the bus stop outside El Centro, which is bustop #1, is the last to be picked up. The bus stop at Casitas 4, which is bustop #2, is actually the first to be picked up.

Only 40 more days to go

Hi all :)

Its in the really early planning stages at the moment, but my parents and I are looking at going to Florida for a week in Feb and are intending to spend 3 nights a CSR! :) Feb 17th - 20th Yay!! I wasn't expecting to be back to WDW or to CSR until May 2006, so this quicky trip should be great.

Yes you are correct. Bus stop#1 is the last one for park trips. But I have stayed at CSR on 9 different trips in April, May, June, October and November and I never witnessed bus stop #1 guests having to stand or wait until another bus comes because the bus was full. I have read that some guests mention it happened to them but if I'm not mistaken, I think it was during the summer months. You shouldn't have a problem.

I would like to further add that we were at CSR during Easter Week when the resort was completely booked (the CMs said it was the busies they have ever seen the resort), and we used bus stop #1 every single day, sometimes multiple times per day. Not only did we never have to wait for an additional bus, but we never had to stand on the bus at any time. There were always plenty of seats. That's why it is much better to go to a resort that has a convention center, the "conventioneers" do not, as a general rule, use the park busses.

While we are at it, I have another pet peeve about the bad rap CSR gets because of the convention center. How come no one every mentions it as a negative when referring to the multiple other resorts that have convention centers? (i.e., Contemporary, Yacht Club, Grand Floridian, etc..). If it isn't a "negative" for those, then it shouldn't be a negative for CSR.

Well said! I've been saying that for years. Glad to see someone else share my sentiment.

I was thinking the same thing! Only thing I can figure is that the convention facilities are larger at CSR.

I must say when we were there the bus came straight to bus stop 1 empty and then went right off to the parks - or maybe we were just up earlier than everyone else :rotfl:

We were last to be dropped off on the way back, but we could have got off at 4 and walked if we wanted

What a great thread! I've booked a stay at CSR in large part due to the great reviews here. One question on the king bed rooms. Looks like the upgrade options are for either king bed or preferred view. Does this mean none of the king rooms are water view?

I'm curious about this myself. My TA booked CSR for us in February and I requested King Room, Lake View. She didn't mention that it would have to be either/or. I thought about just doing a standard room and hoping for an upgrade since it will be my birthday and 25th anniversary, but I really wanted a king room and didn't want to take the chance. Just hope it will have a good view! :earsboy:

There are only 124 king-size beds out of 1,921 rooms. CSR has alot of waterview (or what are consider waterview) rooms. If a king bed is what you want, I would go for that versus the waterview.
