:wave2: HOWDY DOODY MAKE-UP QUEENS!!!

I wanted to ask you all a question....whose prices do you feel are better between the two, SEPHORA or ULTA??

I am always getting coupons from Ulta but rarely Sephora hence I tend to go there more often.....but I am than wondering if Sephora's prices are even better w/o a coupon??

OR do you find any online make-up store is better than both of them??

Thanks!!! :goodvibes

It depends on what you want. Sephora and Ulta have the same prices on the same items but sometimes they have different deals or packs or gifts to make the item more attractive. I usually wait till Sephora has their friends and family and then I stock up. Before Christmas they had 20% off the whole site one day only. I could not get all that much since I knew I was getting things for Christmas and did not want to get doubles. If you purchase on line always check retailmenot.com or naughtycodes.com because they will often have deals especially at sephora like a free item etc.

When it comes to make up the high end stuff is rarely marked down etc.

Oh, thanks Bella, for your thoughts!! I appreciate it and I will check out those sites you posted as well. :thumbsup2

I lost all control Friday night, and went over to ULTA. I don't even know what I was thinking. I just got back from a whirl-wind Disney trip - where I bought a Dooney Disney bag - and makeup in France.

So.... I got the Too Faced Natural Eye Pallette - which is JUST fantastic!!! And Urban Decay's - Midnight Cowboy Lipstick. Which I ***LOVE***.

I got a Sebastian Liter set of Drench S&C, KMS texture spray, and a few other things that are escaping me.

Anyone got anything new, lately?

I'm trying to save as much as I can for my upcoming Disney trip, and yet when I'm in Sephora, all heck breaks loose  While I was waiting for my next class to begin, I had a 2 hr break, so guess where I went? SEPHORA! It's so bad having your college a couple miles away from the mall :( It's been super cold here in Jersey & my skin just had enough, so I just wanted to pick up some really thick moisturizer. I wound up getting more than I went in for. I got:

Bare Escentuals Heavenly Face Brush
Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Mascara
Boscia Skin Care Starter Kit
Fekkai Technician Color Care Shampoo (Travel Size)
Fekkai Technician Color Care Conditioner (Travel Size)
2 Evian Mineral Water Facial Sprays (Travel Size)

I wasn't planning on getting the travel sized items, but while I was waiting to pay for my purchases, they were staring me in the face at check-out lol. I hate that I have such a hard time leaving the store and when I finally do decide to hit check-out, I'm being bombarded with travel sized items while waiting in line lol! But, I'm really excited to try the shampoo/conditioner because they smell amazing! I know the Evian facial spray sounds really dumb (as it's just water in an aresol can) but oh my goodness, it's soooo refreshing! I love how it sets my make-up and makes my skin feel moisturized! it's my new favorite item. :lovestruc I can't wait to try it on hot summer days, especially at Disney!

Well - the travel size was absolutely needed for the trip, so no guilt there. :rolleyes1 Certainly can't be using junk on your hair while on vacation. :snooty:

And the Evian Spray - they still make that, huh? Now I gotta get some. Lately when I look in the mirror mid day. I want just mist with some water to just rehydrate my makeup - kwim??

That was needed too.

And since you were there, you may as well have grabbed the other things.

Good job! :cool1:

I got the TF eye palette. It is wonderful.

I've got some saving to do also. I haven't been on here in ages. I moved and don't have internet. I miss you guys!

News for the dark circle people, using Eye Hope Advanced by Philosophy,
...they have a new concealer that I saw on QVC it has some sort of core that has all kinds of good properties. Has anyone used it yet? I checked the P. website as well as Sephora.com and neither of them have it. I am STILL waiting for the Sephora sale. I know they have one in April. I hope they have this product then of course I do not know if I can wait that long.

I had not seen this, but will be watching to see what the reviews say (when there are some.) I won't hold out to much hope if it is anything like the foundation they came out with. That stuff was awful and I could kick myself for throwing away the packaging. I would have returned it in a heartbeat!

Are you talking about the new Supernatural Foundation? What did you not like about it? I am just curious. I would send an email to them and tell them why you don't like the product ...who knows maybe they will refund you if not maybe they will listen. I am glad you mentioned it because I was setting the foundation in my sites to buy next. I will wait till the concealer comes to Sephora so I can try it (or to the cosmetics counter at a dept store) right now it is just on QVC from what I can tell.

Have any of you tried the new First Aid Beauty line at Sephora?

I LOVE the Advanced Repair Cream. My face just drinks it up in this dry winter air. I keep hearing good things about the eye roller thing too, I might try that next.

I also got a Clairsonic brush. It's only been a few days, so it's still too soon to tell much difference, but my face definitely does feel softer.

Hi, First timer here.

I need some help figuring out if I can find old acne marks without caking on product? I have a creamy beige /Ivory skin color and its already so hard to find the right shade because everything drys so much darker. But anyway I have brownish / reddish marks that almost look like freckles along with some unevenness due to old acne lumps. I use Cover girl tru-blend in Ivory 405 and it still drys a little darker than my skin. I also use Neutrogena stick treatment concealer but it doesn't seem to hide anything! It doesn't help that my skin is so light that you can see any imperfections and they scream look at me. I have gone into Ulta but seem so overwhelmed by the selection that I walk out empty handed.

Any suggestions on what to try?

I was so excited to try it since I like so much of the Philosophy stuff and ordered it on preorder (which isn't something I normally would do) and I did try it for a couple of weeks before finally throwing in the towel. I didn't like that it was so dry going on. Once you got it on, it wasn't so bad, but it was really hard to blend and get the coverage. The color wasn't bad and it did seem to color correct itself, but I didn't think it covered well enough for the amount of time it took to put on. Maybe I just got a bad tube? :confused3

It won't help the bumps, but as a fellow pale person, bareminerals has the vote of being the only foundation I've ever used up. I went to a bare minerals store to test it out, then bought the starter kit at Sephora. I know other people on here like other brands, but I prefer bare minerals (actually, I use Sally Beauty's version of mineral veil-becasue I use a lot of it).
As an aside, to the person who was wondering about getting the sifter off, here is my method. Take a comb with a metal rat tail. Stick rat tail in a hole. Push on comb like you're opening a bottle. Bam! Sifter is gone, and you have a couple doses of powder left.

I'm with you on the Bare Escentuals. :lovestruc It's amazing stuff. However, I've been itching lately when I apply it, which has been driving me crazy.
