***MOMENT OF SILENCE, PLEASE....Bow your heads***

There was a fire this morning...at.... Sephora. :sad1:

It was the Mag Mile Sephora here in Chicago. A super snazzy one, with everything. :sad1:

It's my understanding if there is a fire, they can not salvage any products in the store, even if they seem to be untouched by the said fire, which means hoards of things are going to be TOSSED!! :sad1:

On a related note....who is near me, and interested in Dumpster Diving?

Don't know how I missed this post....CR I HOPE you did go DD'ing. Shades of Maggianos. Just imagine. I bet they sent all the stuff back for a credit.

anyone now the colors in the sephora 09 palette? happy new yr all! :)

I do not know the colors but I just wanted to say be careful because they are often made in China and I would not take the chance of using anything made there on my eyes given the problems in the past with products made in China.

Just wanted to post a rave about the new Revlon Photoready foundation - this stuff is awesome and cheap. I'm still test driving it on my sensitive skin so I will post back and try to add a pic. :thumbsup2

I was at Sephora on Monday.

I picked up another Bare Escentuals Buxom lipgloss in Gabby color and couple of the 'steal' deals near the entrance. A stila lip stain set for $8 and a Too Faced glitter eye liner for $8.

While there I saw the special Xmas LipFusion 'Bling' lip gloss. I wanted it so bad but they are so expensive. It was on sale from $39 to $29 but still too expensive but I loved the color and the bling on the cover!

First time poster on this thread and here is my question--

Does anyone know of a good teal eyeliner? Teal is a great color next to my dark brown eyes.

I have Loreal's HIP cream eye liner in teal. It's beautiful--when it goes on right. It comes in a little pot with a brush for application, but it's not easy to apply consistently. I'd like to find a teal pencil.

I really, really love Fusion Gloss, though. You could have bought it and tried it out - Sephora is so good with returns.

I buy my gloss from here, though - http://beauty.hsn.com/fusionbeauty_c-bs_a-3516_xc.aspx?prev=hp!sf

Sometimes you can get a super good deal on them with HSN. I have a buttload of them, now.

I think most of us are big "pot with brush" liners, here. I'm not even too familiar with any pencils, anymore. The last pencil I bought was in HS (remember those huge Loreal ones?)

I would suggest buying a few - from Sephora - and trying them until you find which one you like, simply because Sephora will return used.

Thanks. They have a great return policy but I haven't used it yet!

I do own a Lip Fusion I got for $6 at Marshall's that I love! I just couldn't bring myself to spend $30 on it!! Someday!

I don't personally have a teal one, but I believe Urban Decay has one. My daughter and I have several Urban Decay 24hr glide on eye pencils and we really like them.

I'll second this. If you can't get used to the pot one, then I would go with either Urban Decay 24/7 or Makeup Forever Aqua liner. I have navy in the Makeup Forever and Rockstar in the UD. Like both of them and wear them often (especially when I'm rushed for time), but they still don't compare to my Mac Fluidline.

Anyone use a dremmel on your nails? I want to get one but I am not sure which one to get. I saw this chick on You tube use one and it seems like a good idea but my husband asks how I will get to the hospital when I cannot drive because my hands are bleeding so much. He says he will not drive me! LOL

This sounds scary to me! :)

No they actually use them in nail salons and at the foot doctor. I found one on transdesigns.com and I think I might get it. Then again if I am not on again for a while you will know my fingers are injured and I cannot type OR if I make a lot of errors it means I am using a pencil in my mouth to hunt and peck the letters rather than touch type.:lmao:

I don't think they are good to use though. From what I have heard, a really good nail tech won't use one since it is so easy to damage the nail bed with one.

Okay between you and my husband I am convinced ....for now. I just hate my cuticles and I try everything on them to make them neat but they end up being ragged and ugly.

Oh, I feel you pain there. I have the worst cuticles and skin around my nails. Even when I get a manacure I feel like they are just one big jagged mess. I have found that if I use multiple times per day a good cuticle cream they aren't too bad, but they still aren't great. I look at people with smooth pretty nail beds and cuticles that do nothing to them and get jealous.

Hi Ladies

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good under eye corrector and concealer for dark circles?

I'm 43 and have been fighting the circles and puffiness and I would like to find something with good coverage.

Thanks

Do you find that using the cream shortens the length of time your polish stays on ?

Too Face has one that is supposed to cut down on puffiness as well as cover but I do not really love it.

I have also used Amazing Concealer which happens to be on sale at ULTA buy one get one free which is a good price. It is usually 29 for a small tube.

you MUST use moistureizer before you use it or it will end up caking but I am sure you would be using some sort of eye cream anyway. BTW I like the Eye Hope Advanced from Philosophy. I also got the Olay eye roller but am not all that impressed with it. If you have are interested they have it at Costco 2 for 29 as compared with 20 for one at Wal Mart.

Thank you - I will check those out. I did just start using the Philosophy Eye Hope Advanced this week and so far I really like it:)
