Thanks for the info. I think I will do the samples I hve gotten everyday minerals before but not the shadow. I do not need this. I cannot control myself honest do god do they have a Make-up ANON?

I know exactly what you mean. I was just thinking that it's pretty bad when it's to the point that my week isn't complete unless I shop on Fri/Sat. Only for me, it doesn't necessarily have to be make-up - anything will do. :lmao: Clothes, shoes, makeup, jewelry....I just love, love, love the feeling of coming up to my room after a trip to the mall loaded down with shopping bags.:lovestruc:cloud9:

It looks like I may go to our mall 2x this weekend. On Friday, Sephora is opening, and I might as well go to get my gift (oh, and get my tires changed ;)) Then Saturday I'm going to an event at Nordstrom.

OMG I am going to the opening in Braintree of the new Sephora too! Are you going to the facial thing at Nordy's ? Do you think they will give gifts or special things at Sephora? I know they are giving gift cards with the chance of winning ones for 100.00!

Okay normally I do not buy L'Oreal even though I know it is Lancome's twin sister in disguise but I tried the new lash lengthing and I also got the serum to lengthen lashes...now do not want to be too premature but it is working! Honest to god I looked in the mirror yesterday and they are truly longer. It is CHEAP too you can get the serum and the mascara for under 25 total. I looked at some of the stuff in Sephora and I thought I would wait and see if this works. IT DOES!

YaY! Thanks so much for the tip!! I didn't know L'Oreal was Lancome's twin?! I'm definatly going to try this one out! Thanks so much!

Yeah, and I will blow your mind even more so is Maybellene! They are all part of cosmair. When Lancome had the vibrating mascara for 38.oo...Maybellene had it for 15! They try to say the formulation is different but really it is not especially with the mascara.

I agree! I got this as a trial thing and I LOVE it! My husband said "Hey you actually Eye Lashes! Who knew?" Gee thanks

Seriously though I am very fair and have sparse blonde eyelashes. This is the ONLY product I have ever tried that does exactly what it promises!

Do you all know if this is the same thing as Latisse? I use Latisse and it is $120 a bottle, which lasts me about 2 months. Also, I have to order it from my Dr, so it would definitely be cheaper and more convenient if the Loreal version does the same thing.

Ladies, I need help finding a good tinted moisterizer. I've been kind of making my own with some Philosophy foundation and some Clinique City Block Sunscreen, but that just isn't really working well for me. Any ideas?

Also, I had an email today that was saying Victoria Secret's foundation primer was named best primer at Self Magazine. I may need to try it sometime.

Wow. Got my Sephora order today from Monday's last minute coupon order. Got the MUFE eye pencils in some funky colors that I can't wait to try. And I think I'm the last one in the world to finally give Clinique's Black Honey lipstick a shot. :yay:

You know I do not know if it is the same as Latisse but at 12.95 a pop give it a try. I must say I have not been all that faithful to the serum only the mascara with the serum in it but it seems to be working. I am going to try and be more faithful to the serum and see what happens. You can get the whole kit serum, and serum with mascara for like 24.95 and if you buy it at Wal Mart and it does not work hold on the the slip and return it.

Just did a search on the above mentioned Clinique's Black Honey lipstick cause I had never heard of it and by accident in my search I found this interesting article about 10 "look for less" items, including the Clinique Black Honey. Very interesting! :)

The Look For Less: 10 of Your Favorite Dupes

Ohhh, I'm going to try some of their dupe recommendations. Too bad I'm a little late on the Clinique one. But I will say, the Black Honey is a really nice color on the lips. Pretty much goes with everything.

I went to the Sephora opening on Friday it is not all that near where I live but my husband had business and was going past there so I asked if I could come along(day off for me). Anyway, when I got to Sephora the line was huge. My husband counted and he said there were 120 people. I was bummed but the woman in front of me said she counted only 87. She was right! They gave out numbers I was 96 and since my husband was standing next to me talking she gave him a number too! He was like what am I supposed to do with this. I said, "Baby, you are going in and getting me a gift card." He did not want to do it but I begged. After all they do have men's cologne etc. He got 25! and I got 10. I figured he would not use his(and he did not no way no how) so I ended up with 35.

I got the new Benefit Primer for shadow and concealer and a MUFE firming concealer(do your under eyes get loose?) God knows why. Anyway, I like the primer and the conealer. I now have a 10% off my next purchase coupon (and 710 points). Oh btw I also found out that if you buy things and return them they do not subtract points AND if you buy a gc and then buy prouduct with the gc youend up with double points. NOt that I coudl find any bonus items I wanted but when the day comes I will be ready.:rotfl:

Hey you all did you fall off the face of the earth? It is self tanner time...any good ones out there?

:wave2: Bella!! Ya, where is everybody???

Subscribing on the self-tanner!!! :thumbsup2

I am just looking at the ULTA flyer I got in the mail Thurs with a sale that starts tomorrow and there are a number of self-tanners for sale.

I will say Ulta is having a HUGE Philosophy sale for those interested.

I'm still here!

Although I've been "trying" to stay away in order to save money. Things have been really tight lately.

Anyways, here's my recommendations on some things I've been using over the past 6 months or so.

Make Up For Ever foundation - LOVE this foundation. I made the switch from Bare Escentuals to liquid again after swirling some BE on the underside of my wrist and seeing very fine lines magically appear where there didn't seem to be some before... I thought if it's doing that to my wrist, imagine my face. Occasionally, I'll swirl some over my liquid foundation just to give me extra coverage.... depending on the occasion. The MF foundation is $40 - goes on super silky and a little goes a long way. I find when I use a cheaper foundation - I also have Loreal and 2 Revlons sitting on my table - I use twice as much foundation to cover same area because they don't glide as easily. The coverage appears to be the same, so I'm trying to decide if $40 is worth the silky feel as it glides on my face or not....

Benefit Erase Paste - I use this as my cover-up. LOVE IT!! I will never use anything else again. It MAGICALLY erases any mark on the face and blends in so nicely. A little goes a long way.... which I like since finances are tight. Can't remember what I spent but it was around $25 I think....

Blush/Bronzer - Still looking for my holy grail...

Two-Faced Shadow Insurance - I would have never known about eye primer before reading this thread. I never could understand how women's eye makeup could last during the day. I have very oily eyelids and my eye make-up would run within the hour, seriously. Now, I never even have to touch up my eye make-up. I put it on at 7:30 a.m. and it's still there for evening!

Eye Shadow - I have MUFE which I LOVE - this stuff will last forever, lol. A tiny bit on my brush is intense on my lids - great pigmentation! Also just bought Urban Decay which is nicely pigmented and Smashbox. Only reason why I ventured into other lines was because MUFE didn't have the colors I wanted so had to look elswhere, but MUFE gets my first vote. Also, have 2 colors in Sephora - don't waste your money on this brand - the pigmentation stinks - I have to use so much of it to get the depth of color I want...

Stila Smudge Pot - Never thought I'd make the switch from pencil to pot, but this stuff is so great. It took quite some practice to get the lines right, but it doesn't take me long now in the morning to put on my eyeliner. I have the black (which I use on my top lids every morning) and gray and brown (for my bottom - don't like a harsh line underneath). My only complaint is that it seems to lose it's softness in the pot after a while.

Lips - Still looking. I currently use a discontinued pink color from Mary Kay that I have to buy on Ebay. I've been using it for a couple of years now. Not sure what to switch to when I can't get this anymore...

Mascara - Sigh. I struggle with my non-existant lashes. Tried the Stila lash enhancer for $90 (can't remember name) but it didn't work after 4 months so I returned it. I switch between Loreal Double Extend (love the tubing - so easy to take off at night), Maybelline Great Lash (love the brush! but this mascara tends to smudge if I cry or rub), Loreal Voluminous (This stuff has the opposite problem - I can't get it off! LOL! I use it on my bottom lashes only since I know it'll never come off during day no matter what I do to my eyes), and Two-Faced Lash Injection (like the brush, but mascara seems a little dry...)

I think that's it...

Like the others, I'd love a self-tanner recommendation. Over the years I've tried many types and they ALL have a tinge of orange to them. I want something that is truly BRONZE and realistic. And something that won't rub off on clothing if I perspire!!!! (grrrrr).

The Look For Less: 10 of Your Favorite Dupes

I really like the dupes! My daughter & I had fun looking for the 'subs'.

We took our first trip to ULTA & wow! Dare I say even better than Sephora? Or just as good :cloud9:

Before my last Florida trip I did get the Philosophy SuperNatural foundation which has SPF15. I use the Neutrogena ultra sheer spf 70 on my face first then MAC primer as a base (I'm Irish) & then the SN over it & it looked great & worked great.

Self tanners....if I come across some good articles I will share for sure. Usually there are reviews out there this time of year.

I've fallen in love with NYX cosmetics-anyone else a fan?

I have many of their lipsticks - so cheap and still great color and they last. Some of them taste like soap though.

Which products are you using? Oh, and I have some of the eye pencils but really haven't used them much yet.
