Sorry for the graphics but sometime it is easier to show how to do something then to explain it. Well....at least for me :thumbsup2

 That worked!!!! Thank you SO MUCH!!! :thumbsup2

Is this an example of what I can pick up? Chili dog with fries, drink, tie dye cheesecake? For just the CS credit?
How about if you order one of the Mom's dinner specials? What do you get for that?

Great to read the reviews of the ones that have just returned, sounds like you had GREAT trips (we will be there for the rope drop, too!)

Can't wait!

I also wanted to mention that we tipped mousekeeping every day. We didn't see Sue all week but she made a point of coming up to us when we walked out of our room on the last day there and thanked us. I had read to bring envelopes that we addressed every day for "mousekeeping" and left them by the phone. I know some will tip at the end, but just in case there were different people, we tipped every day.

Hi from Australia:upsidedow :cool2:

Hope some experts can help me out on these ones, I did read all 239 pages :surfweb: (phew!) and didn't see anything on these questions.

a) Pools - they look fun, but I've read somewhere that they're not very deep? Not a problem, just want my DS9 to be prepared.

b) What's average journey time to water parks (BB and TL)? I've seen about 40 mins and yet they seem really quite close by - assuming it's doing other pickups that adds the time. Anyone tell me?

c) Looking on google earth, the far reaches of 50's are just across a road from the far reaches of CBR. Anyone walked it - looks like it's not 'encouraged' but is it actually impossible? Just asking as we're in POP for 2 weeks and have a whole recovery day at POP on arrival (30 hour journey time from Western Australia :scared1: -eek!) and might need to stretch our legs:tiptoe: Also want to check out CBR as it was our first choice (but very :cutie: to be in POP).

d) We're not getting a hire car so have a $250 'budget' for taxis as we're free DDP and lots of ADR's around resorts etc. Anyone got any experience of taxis to/from POP:car: .

Thanks all and sleep well  (it's morning time here but I'm still in my jammies:clown: ).

I'm sorry if this was answered, I looked through a lot of this. I'm a diet coke/diet pepsi (basically diet all pop lol) fanatic. We don't know where we're staying inside pop yet until we get there. I will NEED to get my last cup of diet pop before it closes, after looking at the map, I have to ask-- where exactly is the food court located for people to refill their mug? The way our luck runs we'll be the furthest away & my friends & I can't afford to pay any more for a prefered room. What's the farest amount of time the food court could be away from us? :confused3

Pools: The hippy dippy pool is more shallow at the edges and gets deeper in the middle. My husband is 5'10" and it was above his chest in the middle. I have a photo of the pool but can't figure out how to post it. Anyone know how I can do this?

BB: I think it was about 10 minutes or less to Blizzard Beach (we didn't do the water parks but you take the same bus to Animal Kingdom). The longest trip was to Magic Kingdom which was probably about 30 minutes but all the other parks were closer.

If you want to stretch your legs, you can walk all over the Pop grounds on paths. It's quite a big complex. There are no sidewalks on the roads and they're quite busy.

The food court is in Classic Hall where you check in.

At most it's about a five minute walk to the food court. During our last stay we were in the very farthest wing of the 90's section...so I'm speaking from experience! :drinking1

I had the mom's turkey dinner special on the ddp, and I think it was turkey and stuffing in gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, and I THINK a dinner roll, and then I could pick a drink and a dessert. It was very tasty. Good use of a CS credit.

Otherwise I usually ordered the parmesan chicken meal (not a mom's meal) which was a chicken breast, w/ or w/o sauce, pasta or a salad, a bread stick, and then you could get a drink and a dessert.

Dh would get a dbl cheeseburger, fries, pop, dessert.

One time one of us got an order of nachos, drink, dessert.

Really a lot of combinations, and the staff is very helpful in getting you what you need for the plan.

Happy eating!

How is the food at the POP? good:confused3 We liked the food at ASSports last year-it looks like almost the same stuff.

Yes, it is basically the same fare. We liked most everything that we tried, although the frozen Coke was very syrupy tasting one time.

I would not recommend the cheesesteak wrap. Probably because both my husband and I have had real Philly cheesesteaks, neither of use really liked this. the burgers were good.

The only bad meal I've had at Pop was the "pizza".:scared:

My favorite is the shrimp lo mein. The breakfast platter is pretty good as well. I always ask for grits instead of potatoes.

Actually, and I whispering this: (I didn't like the tie-dye cheesecake). Sometimes I have a very sensitive stomach to sweet stuff, and it didn't sit well with me. But it tasted good! I just knew after the 2nd bite that it was going to upset my stomach....

The food court is in Classic Hall. The bus stops are right in front of Classic Hall. What I did was bring my mug with me to the parks and then filled it on the way to my room upon returning from the parks.

Re: Fill your mug returning from parks:

So you carried your mug around all day at the park? How did that work? I am the world's biggest penny pincher, but DH frowns on my "clever" ideas like that!

We always fill our mugs before heading to the bus stop. When we're done, we toss them into our back packs. If the food court is still open when we return, we grab one last refill before heading to the room.

Would anyone be able to post any pics of the current POP mugs? We will be there in August and I plan on buying them for everyone. Gives the kids a little freedom to choose their drinks.

I see. Thanks a lot :goodvibes I have to ask though, I'm a chocolate cake lover but is the tye dye cheese cake worth it? lol. I only ask because everytime I see something about pop century everyone always brings up the tye dye cheesecake as being a must. I usually snag my chocolate up but is the cheesecake worth the hype?

Tough call on the cheesecake. It isn't a traditional cheesecake in that it has a red velvet cake as the 'crust' or base. My kids LOOOOOOVE it!

I, on the other hand, really favor the carrot cake at POP. YUMMY!!

Yep that is what I did however I filled mine with cocoa before heading to the bus stop as I had some cool mornings. My back pack is smaller than the norm but the mug fit fine.
