Just wondering approximately how much it was cost to take a taxi to the nearest grocery store one way.

I've stayed at POFQ and ASMu and it seemed the bus stops for ASMu were always very far from the front. POFQ tended to be towards the middle. Just wondering about POP...since it's a Value resort, do they tend to be farthest away?

Do they also have packs of peanut butter out? What about cream cheese?

They do have jelly and they do have PB out in the main area by the toaster and drink area. The cream cheese is in the cooler by the milk, but you have to pay for it.

Does POP provide the swim floatie things or anything like that for the kids to use at the pools or do we have to bring our own? Food and snacks are one thing but those would take alot of space if I have to pack them.

Is there something I'd need to do to have our boarding passes brought to our door...or is automatic with ME?
I think it was just a new proceedure when you were signed up for ME back to the airport if your airline was participating. I've never had it happen before. I didn't do anything different this trip. Maybe I'll go over to the transportation board and see if I can read anything about it there. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Do your carry on bags need to be tagged with your name/address/phone number or does POP have some type of tags they put on them?
They do tag them but it wouldn't hurt to have your own tag on them too.

Yes-especially at MK.

They have life jackets you can use.

Not sure but I have had good luck using www.gardengrocer.com They have a $12 delivery charge and a $40 minimum.

Pop does have apple juice in the refillable mug as well as frozen coke and frozen blue raspberry.:thumbsup2

All resorts have switch over to the generic blue Mickey/Minnie mugs but this year instead of 2007 it has no date at all.

Is the apple juice for the refillable mugs available in the same area as the soda fountains?

Yes. I just got back from Pop and drank quite a bit of apple juice in the am and in the late pm.

Can't answer that question but if you're needing a few things try netgrocer.com. We ordered 12 pack of Pepsi and several 6 packs of water. There's no minimum to purchase and the shipping is based on what you spend. I think the lowest shipping charge is $5.99. The price of water, soda, and shipping cost us less than water or soda in the parks.

What do I need to get a medical fridge? A note from the dr? Will they want to see the meds? Right now we are on 5 that have to stay cold between dd#1, dd#2, and dh (hoping to be down to 3 or 4 by Sept). Are the POP fridges the little ones for meds or are they the larger ones?

It is one of the choices from the fountain machine.

As soon as I knew I would need a fridge I called and added the request to my reservation-said it was a medical need. When I checked in they acknowledged that it was on my reservation. Our room was ready so we went to drop off carry on and they brought the fridge right away. I got a dorm size one. They didn't ask to see the medicines. The day before I checked out I brought my ice pack to luggage services and they put it in their freezer for me so that it would be frozen for my flight home. On check out day they kept the medicine in their fridge while I was in the parks.

They did charge me for it and I didn't even check my bill when I checked out. I called the billing number and they removed the charge.

I have got my homeward bound boarding passes at MK and at Pop! Depends where you are at the 24 hour mark! But had no trouble either way! SWA does not pick up your luggage on return trip you have to take it to luggage to store till ME comes and then get it out ! It's always worked well for us they have let us get stuff if we needed to !!

Pop is almost always the farthest one away. I know at MK it is. I think at AK is is on the far side, but towards the middle. I can't remember HS, but if I remember right it was pretty far down. And I am drawing a blank at Epcot, but I think it was pretty far dowon the line too.

Hi!

I loved staying at the Pop Century in May :)

When I have stayed at the moderate & deluxe resorts before, I have always had a "normal" bed. Somehow at Pop, both beds in my room were very hard, (and no, I'm not High Maintenance or a Diva). The second night I put both bedspreads & both bedspreads on one bed, put a sheet on top of those, and slept that way, and that was fine.

My question is, are "all" the beds at Pop really hard? I would love to stay there again, but would have to be prepared to do the bedspread/blanket thing again. Or, do you think it was just a luck-of-the-draw occurance? Thoughts, anyone? :)

I will definitely be back at the Pop, either to stay, or at least for some Tie Dye cheesecake!

Have a Disney Day! :)

I ahve stayed at pop twice. I have a very bad back, and have alot of problems with hotel beds. Both times we had a superb bed. Super soft. and never once did I wake up aching, or wake up becuase my back was hurting.

Just wanted to not confuse anyone and wonder whether the price given is one way or round trip...I'll do the adding.:lmao:

From the Beach Club to the goodings it cost us apprx $9 ea way in a cab so $18- roundtrip!

They do usually have like beach balls and intertubes, the dollar store version for the kids to play with (at least they have had them every time we have gone) We thought they belonged to someone, but then saw the lifegaurds blowing more up and throwing them in the pool. they also have life vests.

Hello all,

I have a question for you regarding transportation to the MNSSHP. We are currently booked into a RO at WL for the last three nights of our stay. I am thinking of changing over to POP for the last three nights, to save some more $$. (Plus DS 8 really wants to stay at the "Hippy Dippy place"!) :confused3

How is transportation to MK from POP and back on the party nights? Is it congested, fast, terrible, awesome, or just ok? We have never done a party there or even EEMH.

TIA
Karen :flower3:

This may have been answered already but we were at MNSSHP last Sept and stayed at POP. We stayed until the end of the party. The line looked terrible - but they had two busses coming at a time - so it went pretty fast.:thumbsup2

Hi, Due to some last minute cancellations, our Pop fridge swap has some great dates available! Even better, it's new, big, and free! The dates are June 5-15 and July 13-20 are also available! Please check the link in my signature! Have a great trip!

Our beds have been fine too, but I am not really hard to please especially after a long day at the park!!

I agree. We have a water bed at home, so any mattress to me is hard. But after a long day, who cares. I am so tired my body doesn't care a bit.
