Ok, what do I have to ask for, to be able to stay in the building with all the packman stuff on it?? My hubby would FLIPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

If I get the reillable mugs, how late can I fill mine up? I saw that the cafe closed at 12 am, is that the latest?

yup. i came back one night at lke 12:04am, and it was closed. bummer.

When we were there the doors were locked at midnight. We were inside and a friend was trying to join us at the lounge...we all left shortly! :)

Thanks for the info on the Dining Discount. Looks like we'll be paying full price for our Mickey Mouse Waffles.

What about the poolside rooms in the 50's section ?

many says poolside is noisy but many also says this section's pool is quieter
my daughter wants to be in the Lady building but if I go with rooms not poolside I will get a parking view :worried:

We have never had a room on the pool side but the Bowling Pin pool is smaller than the Hippy Dippy pool, so there wouldn't be as much activity.

There are also parts of the Lady Building that face a courtyard. However, they may be considered prefered.

It's true this pool is much quieter than the Hippy Dippy Pool in the 60's area. We were in a room on the opposite side of the building to the pool, it was very quiet - not actually sure if there was anyone else in rooms around us we heard so little noise. We has a lovely view of a courtyard and off to the left was the bridge and lake. Very nice, and I would recommend it to anyone. I think even pool view would have been ok for us in terms of noise as well. Wherever you stay, enjoy !

bubba,
do you remember your room number,
because I really don't see how it's possible to view the lake and the bridge in the Lady building

I would have loved the Tramp building but daughter won't let her idea of staying in the hotel Lady (as she says:cutie: )

bubba, Sounds like our view from the Tramp building lake side :)

roxazul, Lady's opposite side is trees and the main entrance of the resort :)

A lot of trees block Lady's non pool side - it is way too dark for us - we enjoy a light airy feeling.

Have you been able to see some photos of that side? If not, I know I have some and would be happy to post a link. :)

Going to be tough to convince your little one to try another building...but Lady sure is cute!!

I would love to see pictures of that side !

From the map I thought the view was the parking lot...
is there a link where I can see the views from various buildings at Pop, the pictures I saw would always show the pools or the inside of the room

Thank you for all the information in this thread! I booked Pop today through AAA for our upcoming trip the first week in October. :) This will be our (DH and DD5) first time staying at a value resort and also having a package with dining plan (we previously have used AP discounts to book rooms).
All your positive reviews and enthusiasm helped make my decision to try it out, not to mention it will be so much easier on the budget!! I hope we love it as much as you all do because that will mean we won't have to pay Mod prices anymore! :yay:

My daughter loves Lady and the Tramp so I have requested the 50's section with a lake view (for DH and I).

It sounds like the buses run smoothly here, which was also a deciding factor for me.

If anyone has links to views from the 50's building, please post. Once again thank you for this thread!

I don't have any pictures to post but I stayed in the Jukebox building in the 50's section. I really liked it. I had a 4th floor lake view. If I looked straight out my door I could see the top part of ToT and Fantasmic fireworks at night. If I turned right and walked to the end of my hallway, I could see the top 1/3 of Spaceship Earth. I also could see the higher Illuminations fireworks and in the distance, I could see a bit of Wishes form the MK. Very very :thumbsup2

That's exactly what we saw on every POP stay but one - what more could ask for a value price? :)

Our first stay was in the Jukebox bldg 4th fl, with a end of the lake view and of EPCOT/IllumiNations (top), next stay was in Tramp, lake view, could see TOT (far distance) and EPCOT/IllumiNations again..next was Jukebox 4th fll pool view (loved that view -could see the palm trees near the food court) and our last stay was Tamp again, 4th fl, lake view and that fanastic EPCOT/IllumiNations - one night we watched Wishes and IllumiNations at the same time - incredible!!!

Sure POP is not like a deluxe or mod and some rooms could use fresh paint, but with the right expectation it can be a lot of fun!

I'll try to find those photos and post the links - check out the resort photo thread too:

Enjoy!!

I have stayed in the 60's & the 50's . Both were great We were in the Playdoh bldg in the 60's 4th floor not poolside , was very quiet but DD wants poolside next time so she can watch the kids from the room, they all canswim but she feels if they want to go down without her she can watch !! I stayed in the 50's in the Tramp bldg Lakeside it was very quiet and peaceful. I love Pop and can't see spending extra on a mod. when Pop is so nice!!

We stayed parking lot side of Lady, and we loved it.
There is a screen of bushes and trees blocking your view of the cars, etc., and near the middle there is a little bit of a court yard (sort of where the bldg makes a T, if you can picture that.)

We requested parking lot side, closest to Classic Hall. It was a close as you could get without being preferred, so that worked for us.

We like to be near our van, so it isn't such a pain to load and unload, otherwise I probably would enjoy lake side.

Happy planning!

:cutie: WE have requested to stay in 60's building with Baloo. We do not have preferred rooms, does anyon have any thoughts on our request? We requested in since DD loves the Jungle Book, what a great classic film.

It's the Bare Necessities, the simple Bare Necessities of Life.
