A couple of people have told me that the "Take a Book, Leave a Book" shelf is back in the Cove Cafe on a couple ships and I am hoping it's true of the Fantasy although they might clean up during dry dock. Fingers crossed they will allow it (it was not allowed post Covid for a while) for our cruise since it's a LONG one with 7 sea days. Even the ports don't look like there's much chance of an English bookstore - maybe in Lisbon but not where we will be stopping.
Anyway, if you are a (real) book reader, keep this in mind. I am hoping to bring a couple of extra books to donate and will leave some magazines I read on the plane there as well. I know books are heavy . . . . hey, you can leave your Kindle if you want!!!
On my last cruise I opened the drawer with the tags for breakfast and under those I found a slim children's book that was left there for the next occupants. I miss the hardcover book that used to be there with all the info about the ship and I think it also had the room service menu. I am not enamored with having to use the App on my phone.
Yay books! I just saw a review for a new book called Marriage At Sea - but it's hardcover. Might be fun to read on a cruise.
