Hi folks,

My girlfriend's great uncle was Eric Larson, one of the Nine Old Men animators. We'll be making a trip up to DLR to celebrate her 40th birthday in November, staying in the new Discovery tower at the DLH. Can anyone point me toward any displays or memorabilia we should be sure to check out that might feature her relative?

Thanks!

First place to start is in main Fantasy Tower. Many hung photographs and an era wall with memorabilia/history, near first floor convention rooms, northward from Goofy’s Kitchen. Also lobby areas in each of the other towers.

That's super cool! I just ordered one, and now I just have to decide whether I want to give it to her on her actual birthday, or save it for the trip.

I also have a print that was given to me by my friend who worked with those guys back in the day. I don't know a thing about it except that I believe it is a caricature of the Nine Old Men as Dickens characters. I've not been able to find any information about it except for one little blip from AI that said it was done by Marc Davis for a studio Christmas card, but I can't find anything to substantiate that. I wonder which one would be Eric Larson? Oh yeah, my friend who gave it to me said that the guy in front with the mustache is Walt :)
