Or Jukebox building. We had 50's, 4th floor, lakeview and could see the Fireworks at Epcot. I even saw the fireworks at Magic Kingdom one night. The other neat thing was that we had our van with us so this area was close to the parking lot.

do you think you could see them from a lower floor?

I think it would be nice to see the fireworks from the room but we will have to be on the ground floor! Last time we went we werent even in our room around the time of the fireworks any how......maybe check-in night we will go upstairs to see them, that may be nice! We will be at Pop 11-28 through 12-06 2010, I know it's far out but we need the time to pay for it...lol. Im getting so excited, ASMu last time was a hassel with the bus's.....heres to hoping this trip is better!

I don't think so, to many bushes and trees. You can also walk out to the Generation Gap bridge and watch them from there or if you are on a bottom floor just walk up the bowling pins at the end of the buildings and stand near the railings on the top floor (facing in the correct direction of course).

The night view for fireworks was the ugly early years buildings during the day. That was kind of depressing.

But you will really like the fact that POP does not share buses, and therefore extra resort stops, like the AllStars do.

:cool2:

The bus system is what i'm most excited about! We had a horrible time, I cant tell you how many times we saw the busses just drive by us because they got full over at ASsp! One day we waited more than an hour before deciding to get on another bus and then monorail!

and even bigger surprise when we get home, we will be able to pick up our new puppy!!!!!! Haven't told the kids, though they know we will be getting one after our trip sometime.

Here's a picture. we are still thinking of names. any suggestions are welcome!

So excited just wanted to share!

So cute! Is it a boy or girl? How about Mickey or Minnie? :goodvibes I wonder how many of us have pets with Disney names? Our little dachshund's name is Cinder Ellie. The adoption agency we adopted her from had named her Cinder because she is black and tan. I didn't want Cinderella but I thought Cinder Ellie was cute since that is what the mice call her. Anyway, good luck naming him/her. He/She is so very cute!

Does anyone know if they typically offer the dining specials between 11-28 and 12-06? We already booked with the plan but I know that if they run the deal that you can change everything to include it.....

In 2008, the regular DDP was only offered free to Disney Visa card holders and to people that received a PIN. In 2009, the QSDP was offered to all people who booked a value resort package for 3 nights or longer (but you had to click on the special link online or ask for it as some CMs didn't automatically apply the code). Some people received PINs that offered the regular DDP with a 3 night or longer room package. You had to purchase at least a 1 day ticket for all the free dining promotions.

Prior to 2008, the free dining wasn't offered during that time; however, they did have other promotions. Depending on how many rooms are they still need to fill during that time by late summer/early fall is how they will determine whether or not to offer any promtions.

Thanks Carmie,
We would of course LOVE to get in on a promotion, just to save the money....the more we save the more we can spend!!!!! I'll keep an eye out, I know they dont have any promos out yet for that far ahead!

You're welcome! Just make sure that if a promotion comes out, you must call and have it applied to your reservation as they won't do it automatically. They only set aside a certain number of rooms per promo so call as soon as you know about it. Sometimes, muliple promotions will come out for the same time period. Depending on where you are staying, how long your staying, your dining habits, ect, one might be better for you but not for the next person. If another one comes out later that you think is better for you, you can always call and apply that code instead (assuming they still have rooms for that promotion). Also, only one promotion can be applied per reservation.

I just want to add a little info in regards to the Free Dining during the time that Pyrate_Pryncess mentioned. Our 2009 trip was Nov 29 through Dec 5 and we were able to get the Free QSDP through our Disney Visa Card. I believe it wasn't long after that was offered that the FD was opened up to the general public. Also, when my DH called to add the Free QSDP to our origial Pop Ressie he was asked if he wanted to upgrade the Free QSDP to the DDP(Basic Dining Plan) but it would have cost a certain amount per person (I don't remember the amount).

Not sure what they will offer this year but keep your eyes and ears open for your dates. Be sure to find the November or December Code Watch thread and subscribe to it. Those people are amazing at keeping an ear open for the deals.

Thanks Pikester, Im still pretty new at this Message board and havent figured everything out yet so where would I find the November december code watch thread at?
