Yes, I know that they have been replacing them for awhile. My point was that they have now finished replacing them ALL. Just wanted eveyone to know.

YAY:cool1: :cool1:

A good mattress makes all the difference in the world---- especially after a long day @ the parks.

Thank you for letting us know :wizard:

Last time we were there we were lucky enough to get a room with a new mattress, what a huge improvement.

I liked the mattress just fine this past trip(two weeks ago)....my DH however had horrible back pain each day, but when we returned home his back was much better. He thinks it was the mattress :confused3 I think it might have been too soft...definately softer than our mattress at home but it didn't cause me any problems.

I loved the old matresses too. At least the two times I've been there they were great, and I have a REALLY bad back. I have heard rumors that new ones aren;t so great. So it probably just depends on the person.

We're headed to POP next week for our first-ever WDW trip; I was thrilled to see this thread! :thumbsup2 After reading the entire first post, I absolutely :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: to see the author... HELLO MISS KIMBERLY!!!! Thank you for making planning for my WDW stay as easy as you made planning for my DCL cruise! :flower3: :goodvibes :cloud9:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm literally laughing out loud, Adrienne! I didn't look at who the poster was, so as I was reading this, I got this little heart palpitation when I saw the ROTFLs thinking someone was going to say how ridiculous and unhelpful Post #1 (Hehe...Post #1...some things just don't change, do they?!) was for them and/or laughing at me! Well...laughing at me for doing it I do to myself! Then I see "HELLO MISS KIMBERLY", and scurried my eyes to the DIS name of the poster. :rotfl2: Too funny!

Anywhooooo...you're welcome, and my pleasure! As you know, I believe in one single point of reference and not to trench through the mess to get to what I need when I "NEED IT NOW!"! So yea...no shocker, huh?! As I was researching for our WDW/DCL vacation for last year, I just gathered up everything everyone here had put out there. I figured why should my notes be only for me!

I really hope we get to cruise again together on DCL!! You and your family are such a joy!

These pictures were all taken when we were at pop for free dining aug 23rd to 31st, 2008! Just to show it was being done then we were in the 50's but they were basically putting them in the 60's and 50's and some of the 7-'s when we were there.

Sorry if this is off topic. I am new. What is "bouncing back"?? AND..When Disney offers free dining what dining package is it?? THANK YOU !!!! We have our first trip ever planned at the POP in JUNE!!!!!

Yay for all of us February POPpers!

We'll be making our first trip to the Pop on 2/5, and I'm so glad to say that it is just over a month away! Yippie!

And I love this FAQ thread. It's one of the better ones I've seen so far!

Bounce Back Offer: When you stay at a Disney resort sometimes they have fliers in the room that offer a bounce back rate. Basically it is a reduced rate or free dining offer (or it could be something else) that you can get if you book your next year's vacation before you check out. The dates for Bounce Back can be limited. For instance, I booked a 2009 Free Dining Bounce Back vacation for next September when we were there a few months ago. The offer was only for stays between late August through early October.

Free Dining Offer: This has been offered in March for August/September vacations for the past few years. Disney Visa card holders get to book first, then the offer is opened up to the general public. Dates and rooms are limited. Last year (and the BB we booked for 2009) the Free Dining package was for the standard Dining package . . . . (1) snack, (1) counter service meal and (1) table service meal per day.

By the way, if you want to book a Bounce Back, but there is not a flier in your room there is a phone number you can call from your hotel room to book. This is what we used last year when we couldn't find the flier and the front desk had no idea what we were talking about. Does anyone know what number that is? I'll take a look for it and post it if I can find it.

Hi All! New poster making my second trip to Pop in March. Just curious if anyone else has noticed how ill placed the smoking section is and if anyone that has been there recently can tell me if it is moved. It drove me nutso that every time I would come out of the Lobby and take a right I would be smack dab in the middle of the smoking section with my two small kids.

Other than that ~ Pop is my new absolute FAVORITE Disney Resort value or moderate (never stayed at deluxe so I am just guessing I would like those better!)

:) Loved the first post ~ thank you so much for the time and effort!

Was there early December and it was still outside the food court, UGH!:scared1: I agree, it's a horrible location....I was practically running, coughing through it with my three small boys. Sorry, haven't moved it since you're last visit!:headache:

Yes Free dining is offered specific times and has been for the past 4 or 5 yrs I believe. It is always offered to Disney Visa Card Holders first then to the general public. This past year it was opened to Disney visa holders apprx the 9th and the general public was apprx the 12th or 13th of April. For stays from August 23 thru September 20th I think.
It always comes out in the begining of April. This yr I believe there was a week in Oct or Nov it was offered also and I know it was definitely offered the wk of the 15th of Dec I'm not sure if those dates were offered to General Public or just Disney Visa holders. The bounceback is offered during your stay and must be booked before you depart as you need to use your active reservation number there is usually a card in your room but if you are aware of it and don't have a card and know it is being offered during your stay don't be afraid to inquire not everyone always gets a card but IDK why that is. Maybe just overlooked if the guest before take it or throw it out not sure on that as we didnt get one on our stay in august i was aware it was being offered but got to busy and forgot to ask so when I came I found the number and called and explained and they were nice enough to let me book a bounceback offer for this august I really liked in august much to my surprose we will be back for 10days from August 23rd thru Sept 3rd this yr! Hope I helped! If you have questions and I can answer I will feel free to ask heres a pic of the card from the room for the Bounceback offer this past August /September:

I would suggest maybe going through the main lobby Instead:confused3 ,If It really bother you that much.We personally never notice actually any one smokeing. But I do know that you can walk around by the luggage holding area and contenue and that will take you to that side with out walking by the smokers

Thanks for posting this! I just convinced DH to go and take our 2 and his 2 kids for free dining SEPT 10! I know it is a way off; we need to save for awhile to be able take all 4 kids with 2 rooms @ the POP! I just hope they still have free dining for SEPT 2010!

Which DSA is right outside the Dining area ??I am a smoker and the one I used was way to the right of the lobby entrance in thr back, not at all in the main drag !Are you sure it was a DSA or just smokers making it one . They had tables by the Bar that were smoking areas and along the lake path1 If there was a DSA by the Foodcourt it should be at the other end not near the entrances !!

We have our Pop Century vacation booked for May, 2009. I can hardly wait! We normally stay at the CBR and was a bit worried about a stay at Pop. But, after reading all these fabulous posts, my worries are easing away bit by bit.

I've started a Pop Century What Will You Celebrate thread over on the countdown board. Here's the link:

Hope some of you will join us there!

Did you ever make a cruise thread like the first post with cruising info? if so I want to read that too!

I'm a partime smoker. LOL! Quit for awhile and started back, but only a very few a day. I think the spot they are talking about is when you walk out of the lobby towards the hippy dippy pool to the immediate right is some benches and that is a smoking area. I agree it is a dumb spt. Some go to the far end, and that better, but some stand right in front of the doors.

Also when you walk down the steps, to the right by Petals is another smokers area. Again, alot of people pass through this way to get to their rooms. And another dumb spot is going out the front doors, as if going to the bus stop, is another smoking spot. Basically right in front of the door ,and a huge astray is there as well.
