How is it? We are considering the pizza for our first night there but will have access to a car and could go off site. I like convenient but not if it tastes like those fund-raiser pizzas that my kids sell! :lmao: TIA.

Pop has the cutest electronic flashers they give you when ordering a pizza in the food court. They are like the ones the regular restaurants give you - except these are pizza slice shaped and colored so they are just so cute when they light up.

Wish I'd taken a photo of one flashing when we were there.

Just got back from POP a few days ago. The kiddie pool is STILL closed. None of the other pools are zero entry. Try using the goofy sprayers. My 2 year old LOVED them.

The mattress in our room was new. We checked when we got there. It was also the most comfortable mattress we've ever had in a hotel! Our room was clean as could be and could have passed for new. No mold/mildew in the restrooms, no cobwebs or dustbunnies in the corners. Excellent mousekeeping.

Longest wait for a bus: 20 minutes but it was only once. most of the time it was around 10 minutes. Never once had to stand on a bus. They had plenty of service.

Food court: horrible. We never at there except for breakfast but the bacon was always old and floppy, the pancakes were hard as rocks, the eggs cold and dry. We tried 3 days with the same result. We started using the muffins/bakery items. It was much better.

Which building/room were you in? I have read some posts that say the beds were old. DH has back and hip problems and since we are going for 8 nights, I would like to find a section with new beds.

We just got back from Pop on Saturday and the matteress in our room was horrible. It was old and sagged in the middle. I don't think they have gotten around to changing out all of them just yet!

What section/room were you in?

Cool! :cool2:
Thanks for responding...they actually don't need to stay the whole week....did you do this online or on the phone?!?!?

I did it on line and I just did it again and those dates are still available but only "prefered" if that is ok. To get the free dining, don't forget on the main page of disneyworld.com go to the top right corner and the page looks like it folds back and it shows you all the promotions. Good luck, I hope it works for your dates! It is just that Friday that seems to be booked for our time frame.

I am using my anual pass to get a discount and get the DDP but I also used that in March and didnt see a code... I thought it might have something to do with the location or building we would be in.. Oh well as long as I have a room im good ;)

I always have had some sort of code on mine too. It has nothing to do with where you will stay though. They assign rooms 3 days prior to your arrival.

Does anyone know if any of the pools at POP have zero entry?

Only the baby pool.

I have actually heard from most people that it is awful, like cardboard. Maybe it got better recently though.

That may be a regional thing though. I grew up in the Detroit area and lived out east for awhile before moving back to Detroit for 12 years. We always found little "mom and pop" Italian places everywhere that just had awesome pizza, and saved Domino's for those rushed soccer evenings.

We've lived in Green Bay (Wisconsin) for 3 years now and tried all the "wonderful" pizza places people have recommended. They all make "cardboard" pizza and everyone around here talks about how great it is. Now when we want a great pizza (or simply decent), we have to order Dominoes or some other chain because cardboard is the norm.

I have one word for you: Giordano's

The pizza is incredible! It's real Chicago pizza. And they deliver to Pop.

I'm actually only an hour from Detroit. Not a big fan of Dominos at all though. In fact I think most went out in the Toledo area. But what I mean by cardboard is the taste not how thin it is. I do like thin pizzas, but I like it to taste good too. I don't really care for pizza huts pan pizza either. I do like Marcos, but I don't think we have a great pizza around here anymore.
One local place was pretty good and then they changed the suace and now it's kind of gross.

We were in building 10. 2nd floor. I think it was 211.

The sauce also seems to be a problem around here, but it's not just the thin-ness I'm talking about but that the pizza literally has no flavor. And it crunches which just annoys me. But a lot of the places here (that people say are so good) use a more spaghetti-based sauce - a thinner, more-liquidy one, rather than an actual tomatoey-paste (hard to describe, can you tell?).

Thanks...I usually always call but tried online and it worked! Got Sunday-Wednesday but thats enough!
:disrocks:

anybody going soon - or anybody that's been and If you are wacky enough....

The restaurant board has questions about the cakes that have been in the food court - how much, what size?

I know when we were there in Oct they did have a cake in the fridgerator case at the food court - but other than that - my memory has failed me!!

every time I come to this site it makes me even more excited to stay at POP for the first time. Only 48days until then and it will be 14days at pop. :cool1:

We stayed at POP last year and loved it! :cool1: For us, it's twelve more days. We had to split our stay because it wasn't available on our first two nights. So we'll only be staying five nights at POP. But I still can't wait!!!:banana::banana:

This will be our first time at POP and I am terrified, TERRIFIED with all these bed bug rumours. Especially hearing that some rooms have old-need-to-be-replaced mattresses.
