The Goodys go to Disney!! POFQ - May 2009 - 8 Days - Deluxe Dining & 630 Pics!!

That is so cool that Wayne was on the dance cam at Monster's!! That place cracks me up every time!!

We arrived at the beautiful Grand Floridian around 5:30PM and our dinner reservation was at 6:25PM.

Glad Wayne had a great birthday dinner! We ate at Narcoosees on Friday night. I would say it was our best meal too but I don't think I would go without DDP. The meal for me & DS(8)-I got an ice tea, we were using "regular" DDP so no ap was $115. It was really nice though. DS got the filet-he said it was good but not as good as hamburger helper.

At 8:55 we went outside to see the CRAZY PEOPLE ready to RUN to TSM! We could'nt even get in line it was so packed. When they dropped the rope people RAN (most of them were speed walking) but it was a little scary. I just kind of sat back and we saw Stitch so we went over for a picture and to say hi. Owen picked a flower and gave it to him. Stitch loved it. Wayne was "walking fast" to get us some fast passes to use later in the day.

Once we met back up with daddy, we went to check out the Jedi Training. Daddy had on one of his birthday presents -"Worlds Greatest Dad- Darth Vader T-Shirt) and Myles had on his special Star Wars shirt. We got there 20 minutes early and were in the first row. Can I just tell you- I have NEVER been so hot in my entire life. There was NO shade- and we stood out there dripping in sweat waiting for this show to start. Here is where some not very magical stuff happend.

About 3 mins before the show started, the parents in back of us pushed their kids to the front. They were holding big signs blocking Myles and his new little friend he had met in line. Of course those kids were picked and ours were left sad they were not chosen. I couldn't believe how rude the parents were during that show. I was so annoyed with all of the people around me that I told Wayne I didn't even want to watch the show, so we backed up and got lot's of angry grunts and looks, and left.

Then we went over to meet Bolt. First, Myles and I went into the Animation of Disney show with Mushu. It was really cold in there - it felt so good. The show was very cute. Myles really liked it. Mushu was so funny! We saw a trailer for the new movie "Up" and of course Myles said he wants to see it!! After the show we went to the Bolt and Rhino line. We waited 60 minutes!!! This was the LONGEST we waited for anything our entire trip. I did meet some really nice moms in line, and we chatted.

Quick story: While we were waiting in line, right when we got to the front of it, this little boy shows up and stands in front of us- by himself. I didn't care that he cut us... but I was more concerned that he was alone. It turns out, he was with a big family, and they left him in line to wait while they went and did something else. This boy was probably 4 or 5! I couldn't believe it. We told the CM and about 5 mins later the mom came back and yelled at him for cutting. Could you imagine leaving your child at Disney World!?? Maybe I am just a freak (well, I am.. most of you probably already know that about me) but, I am making sure my kids are with me at all times. I wouldn't even let Myles go into the bathroom alone with me waiting outside!


We were at DTD in time for our 6:30 reservation at Raglan Road. Owen was kind of crazy during this meal. I think I have mentioned a million times, today was SO hot. He was tired and hot and a little cranky. I had to hold him the entire meal again.


We grabbed our first Mickey Bars and got back on the boat to go back to the hotel and sleep. Wayne went for a run (Crazy- huh!!?? I could hardly walk!) Another great day in Disney!

We were a couple of those crazy people. We did NOT run-except to catch up to someone who dropped a stuffed animal from a stroller. We rode stand by right off with a short wait then got fast passes when we got off. The next day we went back to MGM and the crowds weren't too bad-we got fast passes first-there was woman there who asked to cut in line because she had lost her 5 year old and she was alone with him. She wanted to get fast passes before she tried to find him in the mania.

I cannot believe those people at Jedi training.

We were the first in line to see Bolt and then only Rhino came out. Folk in line were really rude-we came to see Bolt-where is he? We waited.....we just told Rhino he was awesome! He loved it! We went back later in the day to see Bolt and I think Rhino remember us-he was super nice again-we had on those Mike eye T's I made so he may have remembered us. We were talking to someone in line and she said Bolt was only going to be there about another week to make room for Up characters. I hope they put Bolt somewhere else. My DD will be crushed if she doesn't get to see him.

It was hot that day. We had an 11am lunch at Sci Fi. I didn't get a milk shake cause I knew I wouldn't be able to eat dinner at Mama Melrose at 4pm for our Fantasmic package if I did. As it was I could only eat my salad and 1 slice of flatbread. The server talked me into a frozen cappuccino for dessert and that was perfect!

You should have seen the crowds at the 8:30 Fantasmic that night. It was standing room only. I think I would have just waited for the 10pm show or skip it.

Can you believe we never got Mickey Bars? It was too hot! I was afraid they'd melt too fast. We did get Dibs-those were great-easier to eat in the heat.

The beer flight looks good!

Our DS loved Triceratops Spin too- he is crazy for Dinos!

We didn't go back in the afternoon to nap, but we did wait to get started later in the morning (usually around 11)- Julian napped really well in his stroller in the afternoons. I think it was just that he had so much pent-up energy by dinner that he didn't know what to do with it. At home, his afternoons consist of running at top speeds across the living room.

Glad to hear the MK was not busy on Sunday- we went to AK because I thought it would be busy at MK.

Our first Kim Possible Mission was Norway. The boys had a blast! Is Disney clever or what!? This was so cool.

We really enjoyed Kim Possible missions too. We did Japan one day and then UK & France the next day. It is so cool that most folks would just walk by all the "things" you activate with the cell phone. You can get a pass at the innoventions too.

Sorry about your poor Boma experience. I had the best server of any meal ever there last year but our server this year wasn't great-not as bad as yours though.

isn't it funny how kids love the characters and are shy with the actual people who are just dressed (good sign I guess--not to be too friendly to stangers)...

I love how Myles is like hurry up with the mad hatter and alice and all over pooh and tigger and Owen's face with Mary Poppins is priceless...

I know right!? lol I also love Owen's face in this picture. 2 days for you!!

That picture is priceless!!!! What a magical first day (except for check in). I stayed at Poly in Jan with my DD(10 on Friday). We watch the Electric Water Parade nearly every night-she LOVES it- but we didn't see it with fireworks-how cool!!!!


Hey....I'm in your photos. It was great to meet you and your boys are so adorable!!!!

It was HOT wasn't it? That was our 5th day so we were getting used to it by then.

No frost!! Thankfully- I almost planted grass seed last week- I am glad I waited. The cool air feels great!! I am headed to South Shore Plaza on Friday.... I thought of you!! I also saw you insome of my pics when I got home.

Ok- so I am home now. Both boys asleep... they have decided that they want to share a room now since we have been back from Disney. So cute. We dragged up the old twin mattress from the basement tonight and the two of them are in Owen's little bedroom- Myles on the twin and Owen in his crib. Myles has a great full size bed in his bedroom, but it looks like we may be converting that to our 2nd playroom! Geesh- these boys are taking over my house!!!!!!!

Where was I????? I believe we were finishing up Toon Town. I was bummed Owen was asleep. He would have LOVED it there. But, he really needed the sleep, so I let him sleep. We headed towards Splash Mountain, got fast passes to use later in the day. Myles got yet ANOTHER set of stuffed animals (Chip and Dale) and then we headed to lunch at the Plaza. We waited for AWHILE.... it was hot, I was cranky. I must have asked 4 times if they had called our name. We did watch the Move it Shake it parade while we were waiting so that was cool, and then we were finally called. Lunch was great- my highlight was meeting Wendy, Mike and Emily. I swear when you talk to people on here, and hear all about their lives, you just feel like you know them. When I saw Wendy, I was so excited. I told Wayne, I have to go say hi to them!!!!! Emily was ADORABLE... and I was so happy to meet them face to face!

Lunch was good. The ladies came around again.... LOUD and ANNOYING... Owen wanted the tomato soup again. He again needed to feed himself... UGH

I got a turkey club and strawberry shake... YUMMY

Myles had given up on Brer Rabitt and moved onto the new guys!

For desset we all split the banana split

After lunch, we went back to the hotel for some quiet time. We got showered, and dressed for Ohana! I was So excited for this dinner....

Well, we show up and we smell this awful smell. They told us their was a fire... and a problem getting their grill fired up. UGH... it could be two hours or more for our table if at all. So we decided to leave and go to the Mk and maybe just eat at a CS meal. I was bummed. What a stinky Mothers Day Dinner.

We got to MK, walked past Tonys and we said, what the Heck... let's just see what the wait is... well Wayne came out and said they could seat us right away. THANK YOU DISNEY MAGIC. They only had outside available... well as we sat the sun set.... it was cool.... we had a breeze and it felt GREAT! Our dinner was great (Again I forgot to take a pic until I was done) and the dessert .... so DELISH!! The signature Cheesecake was SO GOOD!

Happy Mothers Day to me! I had all my boys, a great dinner ON MAIN STREET WITH A PARADE.... what more could I want??

After our MAGICAL dinner, we went STRAIGHT to Splash Mountain. Ok... so Myles has been taking about doing this for the last year. He is afraid of LOT's of stuff. For instance, when he was 3 1/2 we had to leave Philharmagic with him screaming... this year he wouldnt even go in! So I was amazed he was going to do this. Well, Owen and I waited, while they went on. 10 minutes later I see them... Wayne said "he changed his mind" and then all of a sudden Myles puts his hands out straight and with this look of determination says "Let's Go!" Head down, doesnt even look back... I have never seen my son like this in his entire life. I was SO proud of him Well, he did it. He was SO proud of himself and Daddy was SO proud of his son. What an accomplishment. Will he go on it again??? Probably not for awhile!

They next rode Big Thunder- ten minute walk on!!!!!

Owen and I rode Haunted Mansion.... So FUN! Owen LOVED it. We came out and he looked at Myles (who wouldnt dare go on it) and said, "BOO!"

We then got our spot for the parade. I went and got me and Wayne a Diet Coke and the boys a Mickey Bar. We got out their firework glasses and got ready for the show!!

OK - HOW FUNNY IS THIS PHOTO!!!??? - I think Wayne is licking Myles clean.

WOW - so this isnt the best picture but we SAW TINKERBELL!!!! I have never seen her.... I nearly started crying.

And then the best Mothers Day present is about to take place.... WISHES!!!

After Wishes... Wayne and I hugged and I shed a tear- he may have too! What an amazing trip. Our boys are healthy and beautiful and we just felt OVERWHELMINGLY blessed.

The night wasnt over.. well for Owen it was... he passed out. Myles took turns with me and Wayne riding Buzz AGAIN (4th time for the day!) and then Mommy and Myles rode Aladdin, and Small World, and Daddy rode Big Thunder at night!! Then it was time to say good night to the Magic Kingdom.

What an amazing day. I don't know what Wayne will do next year to top this Mother's Day! (Hee- Hee)

I cant believe we didnt get to this!! My neighbors that were there with us went and thought it was great!!! We had planned to and when you are there, things take so much longer and then you see a character and wait in line for 30 mins... the day is over in a blink!

I work nights, so on off nights I am usually the insomniac reading TRs all night long. So I just started and caught up with yours tonight, and I'm just really blown away by the last chapter. Your Mother's Day is making me CRY!!! Your seat at Tony's! Woohoo!!

First, let me say that I totally agree with you that your DH IS gorgeous, and not only that, but he has done so many sweet things on this trip. The call from Mickey, the slipper dessert. And that pic of you two at Wishes, I can see the love for each other and your family on your faces. (happy tears for you!) Is this guy your Prince Charming or what?!!!

Your boys, OMG, I could EAT THEM UP! That pic of Owen when you were at Illuminations making funny faces at each other. He was in SUCH a good mood. And the 2 of them giving kissies, and now wanting to share a room. Myles and his conquest of Splash. Amazing kids!!

I only visited the baby center once this trip with Owen in Epcot. The restrooms are EVERYWHERE and they all had stations for changing! (Men's rooms as well- so DH can change them too )

It was SO much food. I am debating next time.... to stick with the basic and pay out of pocket for the extra meals or stick with deluxe and just use snack for Lunch and 2 credit meals for dinners!!

You are so kind! I am a lucky girl and YES Wayne is my prince charming for sure. The boys were so happy and I can say this trip brought us all even closer than we were before... that is why I love going to Disney and having it be just us.

Thank you!! We had dinner at Tony's last time and didnt really like it, this time around it was just magical. Myles and Splash Mountain is one of my favorite memories of the trip. I am glad you can tell by my writing how much joy we felt!!

The picture of the boys with those Mickey Bars is one of my favorites. I cant wait for them to be teenagers and show it to their girlfriends!
