Nope Narnia came out same day here as there in the theatre (just like Harry P) you guys will probably get it on dvd first... (I just checked play.com and it's due for release for you guys on April 4... when's Easter this year?)

Chicken Little just came into our theatres this week - can't believe we didn't go watch it on our November trip! I've decided to hang on for the four weeks until I can order it off amazon.com - cheaper on DVD than going to the cinema!

Easter is April 16th. I will have to check and see when it will be released here........thanks

Lynn

You must be kidding :rotfl2: Me?? Homemade strawberry muffins. :lmao:

My mix comes out of a package and all I do is add water.....well maybe and egg and oil. I will have to check the directions on the pkg. But I can assure you that fixin' breakfast for Alex at 7am and then Austin at 8am it will not be from scratch.

Lynn :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

A woman after my own heart :rotfl:

I can't usually have packet mixes but I just picked up a betty crocker brownie mix and choc chip cookies mix today - no dairy - can't wait to add an egg and some oil and "bake" them :rotfl:

Hey Lynn - April 4 is the US release so you're sorted for Easter gifts :thumbsup2

Oh my! I'm so mad at myself. I completely forgot about Grey's Anatomy -- I was watching the Olympics, and the coverage wasn't even that great. My time on the elliptical would have gone MUCH faster if I had been watching GA. Thanks for the updates on what we missed!

You don't have to worry about me Glynis. :goodvibes

I can't think of obnoxious things to post every day, and it's just not my style to post about my boring life. Seriously, do you want to hear about the lecture I got about my red gums at the dentist this morning? :teeth:

I am happy to report that after calling three Party Cities, the third location has Jojo supplies, and I successfully booked three character meals for our upcoming March trip. :sunny:

:wizard: to all my DDA friends who need it!

Amy :)

P.S. Here's something...I'm feeling the baby move around finally...only two weeks until our ultrasound. Are you all taking bets if it's a boy or a girl? :goodvibes

See those things are exciting! Well, maybe not the red gums lecture. But Alyssa's Jojo party and -- hello -- character meals? Walt Disney World? I THINK, that's what the DIS is about. Although you can't always tell from our thread! :rotfl:

And a DDA baby. I don't care what the gender is, it's exciting! :goodvibes

So there. And no, I was not stalking. I just know that, in the past, our Queen has done a fantastic job of at least telling us when people are online so that we know maybe they are just busy, etc but they are still alive and well. Then again, I may have just shot myself in the foot with that argument, given your and Kate's history. ;)

My boys are 8 and 12 so yes Curious George would be "not cool" to go see. I will let them pick between Pink Panther and Nanny Mcphee. The problem is they will not pick the same one. Oh well..........Lynn

Well, you all should have a good time either way! Like I said, I think that The Pink Panther is cute. I just wouldn't have spent money on it for Kyle and I, as it was slightly more than predictable. The kids in the theater (of all ages) seemed to enjoy it.

I've also heard good things about Nanny McPhee, so I think you guys will be fine. Good luck with them making the decision, though! can't help you there :confused3 :goodvibes

Hope you feel better soon. Kyle seems like a real sweetie, letting you sleep in. Sounds like it is just what the "doctor" ordered.

Yes he is. Now if only the "doctor" would hurry up and become a Doctor so that I don't have to spend $100+ dollars on a stupid appointment! Between other Doctor friends (never! ) or maybe just decent insurance, I could have gone last week and avoided all of this! :rotfl:

Thanks, though. I actually just took a 3 hour nap and I really feel ok. Or better than I have since Thursday, anyway! :goodvibes

Ok, I've been designing. Now I have to question if someone has already done something similar? I know that Kate was the mastermind behind the Personalized names with the characters, but has anyone done the character's name with clipart of the characters inside? These are what I came up with, but if someone has already made these then I would like to give credit where credit is due. These are the ones that I have made so far, but it would be fun to do more.

I can't believe it is already on DVD over there!!!! What about Narnia........is it on DVD yet?? I would send you money to get a copy of that for Alex's Easter basket.

Lynn

go to disneyshopping.com they have a preorder for it already!! I think it is set to be released 4/4 so plenty of time for our Easter Baskets!!

Thanks for the info. It says is only ships with standard shipping of 9 days. I would receive it maybe by 13th. Should I risk ordering early or wait and get at Wal-Mart when they come out. I'm afraid that I won't get it delivered by Easter weekend.

I would say risk it!! Disney is usually fast with shipping and you have a couple of days from the 13th that it could be shipped. And with the special I got via email with shopping discounts I may do it also. We loved the movie.

I'm playing catch up again. It's been very busy around here, but I'm not really sure why? :confused3 . The Nor'easter that hit the "entire northeast" missed us completely. We ended up with barely a dusting in central VT. The weather here has been so strange. We have had no snowmobiling, sledding or winter fun here. Any skiing in Vermont is on manmade snow that has to be replinshed at night because we are getting 40+ degree weather many days. When it is warm out the kids can't go out to play because everything becomes mud and if it isn't warm it is so cold that going out is no fun. We are so ready for Spring.

The kids came home with a note from school explaining that they are having school spirit week this week. They are supposed to dress to a daily theme. Monday is Formal dress, Tuesday is PJ day, Wednesday is heritage day, Thursday is Disney Day :thumbsup2 , Friday is crazy clothes and hair day. They have dress shirts and ties for tomorrow. Tuesday is another issue. My kids are very warm blooded so they usually sleep in their underwear. They have one piece fleece sleepers for when they are actually cold and they have shorty pjs for when they actually want pjs. They told me that they can't wear one piece pjs as they are to babyish and obviously it is too cold for shorty pjs. So we talked about me making them some sleep pants and designing t-shirts to match. Long story short I ended up checking JCPenney's to see what they had and walked in on 75% clearance and someone leaving the store handed me a 20% coupon. I found sleep pants for $3.09 a pair after all the discounts. I bought other pjs and shirt and sweatshirts for next year. I found a pair of NewBalance sneakers for $5.59 for Colby. I ended up spending $215 on about 60 items for my kids for next winter and saved over $1200. I was so happy. :cloud9: Gotta love a good deal. I ended up buying Nick a pair of orange sleep pants with chopper style motorcycles on them and Yu Gi Oh sleep pants for Hunter. I bought an orange long sleeved ringer T for Nick and a light blue sweatshirt for Hunter. We spent the evening making designs to iron on their shirts. This is what we came up with:

To go with the orange chopper sleep pants:

To go with the blue Yu Gi Oh! sleep pants:

I put Hunter's name at the bottom. I was trying to make it look like the Yu Gi Oh! logo. They really like them and I think that they are very practical for school. I'll try to take a photo of them wearing them on Tuesday.

Deb

Sounds like a great shopping spree and looks like you had fun designing these, lets see some pics.

I don't recall seeing any like these before so keep designing. You did a great job. I would love to see some of Universal Characters as well. Spongebob, Shrek, but definetly more disney ones. This is a great ideal. I will have to save them for my next trip or just make them to wear at home. 90% of my tops are disney anyway!!!

Thanks to those who posted some ideas for my son's 100 days of school project. I think I'm going to go with the Mickey head (thanks lovespoohbear) but I'll cut it out of black cardboard paper and then paste it on a lime green poster paper. Then I'm cutting and pasting 100 Disney characters (thanks Glynis) inside the Mickey head. I've already searched for the clip art and I got 100 different characters and there were still many more!! I'm thinking of adding a title like "100 years of Magic" with Disney font, but I'm still trying to figure out how to print it in really big letters. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks to MinnieMouseMom , tink2020 and my3princes too.

My kids do the same thing, they never pic the same restaurant or movie etc etc, they just do it for the aggrivation and to drive us crazy.
DS nagged to go out for dinner last night and then when we were there he said he is writing 1 thru 10 on his white board and that is how long we are not eating out for as he is tired of it!!! I had to laugh as he just loves to go for sushi and here's little chance of me making it!!

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it, I can, I can, I can, I can, I can watch Disney, Disney!

That is a variation on a song from my younger years except it was I know I want you.

It just popped in my head when I saw that Walt Disney World Resort: Behind Scenes is on the Travel channel at 6pm CST. Woohoo!!! Great TV for dinner time! :cool1:

I will do anything to help me make it 19 more days!!!! I've listened to my Disney Greatest CD's about 100 times each in the last week or so! Well that is probably an exaggeration but I have listened to it alot. I've watched Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, Mulan II, Return to Neverland, and I don't remember what else in the last month.

Can you tell I'm excited??!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

That sounds like a great idea, post pics when you are done.

I did all the class V-day bags last night for both classes (47) plas vases with roses for the teachers and sent it all off today so I didn't have to see it again or have anything forgotten.
