Thanks, Elin & Janet! I am disappointed, but not really surprised. I knew that things weren't going to end well since the mom hadn't responded to the e-mail I sent Sunday and they hadn't called any of my references. Hopefully the next interview will be through an agency. That way I get feedback the day after the interview, and if my salary is beyond the family's means I am not likely to interview in the first place.

I DO still have my current job, so that's something. But it sounds like the summer schedule is going to be a far cry from what I was told it would be. The kids are only enrolled in camp for ONE week at the beginning of August, for 2 hours a day. That leaves 10 weeks where they are home. If they are home my hours INCREASE by 8 each week. I didn't get a raise this year because my hours were supposed to DECREASE. Call me lazy, but I will NOT be working an additional 80 hours! Shorter hours all summer was supposed to be the big incentive for me to stay until Sept. 1. If I have to work longer hours every week AND the kids have no activities then I don't WANT to stay! That's a huge incentive for me to QUIT! The kids have been at camp for at least 6 weeks the past 2 summers, so it's not like I came up with that expectation on my own. Their friends will all be at camp or traveling, so it's not like there will be anybody around to play with! They will be bored out of their skulls, which will make them fight with each other, which will make me insane! UGH!!!

Oh I forgot to tell you that PM Brooksie arrived yesterday!

Bob was at our house when I got the package. His response....."Just when I thought I'd seen everything......". But the good thing is that he gets it.

Alyssa was so thrilled with him. She immediately dressed him in his pajamas and doggie slippers and ended up taking him to bed with her.

Oh Elizabeth, I'm so sorry. I just know there is something out there, right around the corner for you. I just hope you find it before you become a basket case of stress.

Elizabeth remember that when one door closes another will open. I truly believe that. That things happen quickly so as not to worry about this summer

I did, but I was still on the schedule for this trip, and no one else wanted him. So now each kid will have their own PM for the trip, and as Alyssa said last night, "they're twins!"

On the bright side I really wasn't looking forward to that commute, so maybe now I will find something closer to home. Any drive that is a solid 30 minutes without traffic would get old. And I prefer not to go into a job where the parents are immediately stressed about my salary or my start time or whatever. Better to look for a family where all of the factors are in line right from Day 1.

EDIT: Hmm. I see it just says "coming soon". I also see that the adult ones are the Beach style like my Mickey Crocs. Those are the ones that the one color fits fine and the other color is HUGE. maybe they will have them at WDW so I can try on multiple pairs and find the small ones!

I cleaned my bathrooms and the smell is really bothering me today. I am alone during the day and even though my neighbor is up this week, not sure I could get help if I have an asthma attack.

I am using the Revolve cleaners....they are working well. I got them through the local grocery store. If you can wait until I get home I'll give you the web address...I can't remember it off the top of my head.

I just realized that our SS cards were in my purse that was taken when our home was broken into. Do I just need to call the SS office & have them send me new ones & do I need to let the police know as well? This just makes me so angry I switched purse before we left for Europe, I don't know why I left the cards in there!

Yes you need to call Social Security to advise them and ask what or who you should also advise.

The loan has been approved with the provision of one more piece of paper coming in from my student loans....I just hope what the underwriter (who I accidently called the undertaker yesterday ) is asking for is even doable!!

Thanks! They really are painful! It's like feeling shards of glass passing through your system! Yuck! Luckiy, things are going well today. I'm drinking lots of water and cranberry juice. I'm hopeful that the worst is behind me!

Congratulations! That is fabulous news!

I don't have time to catch up, but I just wanted to thank you all. The rain held off and we got the game in. We even won, 2-1, and Nicholas scored the 2 goals. So we had to go to Dairy Queen afterwards to celebrate! Now it's off to get baths and finish homework. I'll try to check back later.

I just got back to work after going to Jake's play. He was Abraham Lincoln, and he did great!

He has a baseball game tonight, so I better get back to work so that I'm not late getting the boys from school and back to Kaufman for the game.

I am sad about the Disney Crocs. I ordered a pair the same size as the beach I already have. The left one fit fine, but the right one was so big I felt like I would walk out of it even with the strap around the back.

I sent them back and my cc was credited today. I really wanted a pair of Disney ones too.

I woke up with a stress headache and it's only getting worse....my stomach now hurts and I feel like I can't breathe even though I just did an albueterol treatment and my knee and foot hurts.
