Whew! All caught up!

Somehow I pinched a nerve in my back yesterday, and spent the majority of the day flat on my back! What pain!!! Today was a little better, but it still hurts.

Sound like everyone had great weekends. It was rainy here most of the weekend, so we were all a bit gloomy. It is supposed to get better throughout the week, so I'm looking forward to a bit of sunshine!

Last night Katie & Sophie went to the Father/Daughter dance at school. Katie looked so grown up, I wanted to cry. I felt like she was going to the prom or something..we curled her hair with hot rollers & she wore lip gloss! This was Sophie's first dance.

Those are terrific photos! Your kids are adorable! Your backyard looks similar to mine. I took a few pictures of Miles and Laura this weekend, too. Matthew was camping with the Boy Scouts.

Not my back yard-MIL's. Our daffodils aren't out yet either. We're less than 20 miles away but the ocean makes spring come a few weeks later here.

Loved seeing all the pictures this weekend!!

We stayed busy Saturday looking for accessories for prom....Sunday was supposed to be more of the same and than I took a fall coming out of church. I can't tell if it was my knee giving out, slipping out of my shoe or a combination of both....I am one sore puppy!!

My DH and I have known each other for 41 years this coming June. I met him just three months before I turned 16. We will be married 38 years. I just cannot imagine it has been this long. I can still remember the first time he walked in the front door and I told myself, "I am going to marry him and he will take care of me for the rest of my life".
It seems like time went by so fast.

Just got home from the beach. During our huge rain storm last week the water came all the way up to the boardwalk. Never does that unless its a hurricane! Anyway, they had trucks there trying to repair the beach before the summer crowds hit.

We had crazy weather too..very cold & pouring last week..80's yesterday & today. Tuesday is going to be 70 & then Wed- Fri are going to get cold & rainiy again.

Don't put those winter clothes away just yet!

This week is going to be nuts. The kids have something going on until 8-9pm each night. Violin concert, dance, baseball, science fair, jump rope fund raiser for the AMA, girls last religion class. Theres more but I could go on...anyway its hectic to say the least. Saturday we have 3 parties & baseball. Next Saturday Daniel makes his communion.

Glynis and Theresa - I hope your injuries heal quickly! Oh and Theresa, any news on the house.

I finally got the yard completely finished, got my dad's shirt made, got to Walmart for a few odds and ends, and printed out my packing list. Now it's off to a soccer game, home for dinner and baths, then I get to crash. I'll be on later tonight.

My poor friend (going to Disney with me) is so annoyed with her SIL. The SIL just found out last Thursday that her young daughters (7 & 9) have dress group photos for dance the morning we are are going to WDW. She's been with the dance studio for something like 20 years (the oldest DD is 22) and has NEVER missed a group photo. The photo shoot is at 10:00 am and she figures they'll be done at 11:00. Its about an 1 1/2 ride to the airport without traffic. The traffic shouldn't be bad on a Sunday but you really just never know what could happen. My friend is freaking out. She says they are on their own she will NOT wait for them. We figure if we go to the airport together we could each take a checked bag for them and then they'd only need to get through security. Not a great way to start a vacation with my friend & SIL annoyed with each other. If SIL makes the flight she'll be gloating "I told you we could do it" and if she doesn't my friend will be so mad. My friend & I are going and are going to have a great time no matter when SIL and girls show up. Our flight is the last direct flight out so if they miss it they won't arrive at MCO til about 11pm. We'll be at the park having a great time.

How is everyone tonight?

I'm finally laying (or is it lying) down, although I do have one more load of clothes to fold once the dryer buzzes.

We lost the soccer game. I'm not to impressed with the coach this year. The kids don't seem to have progressed much. Wednesday is Nicholas last game, since he will miss 3 while we are gone.

ACK!!! There is nothing worse than STARTING a vacation with stress! I hope everyone makes it to the airport in time and that everyone has fun!

So I just need to finish this blasted paper within the next 27 hours and then I am home free until May 14th. Well, not exactly but I will have no schoolwork for about 2 weeks, maybe longer if I decide not to take these summer classes.

It is such a gorgeous night. I wish I was camping, there is a nice breeze blowing in the window as I type. I just wish I could be enjoying this instead of being inside trying to complete this assignment.

Why am I here instead of working on my assignment. I needed a break from cost-benefit analysis, program implementation, ethics, so on and so forth.

There are mini suites at the Best Western Park Place Inn that sleep 5 or 6. It's technically, the closest hotel to the parks. Not including the Grand Californian, of course.

While we are discussing the Good Neighbor Hotels... do you know anything about the Candy Cane Inn? Bob saw their ad in the AAA TourBook and thought it looked nicer than the HoJo's. Any thoughts??

I was also considering the BW Park Place Inn, but I think price won out. I don't remember now!

I haven't stayed at CCI for years, but it gets really good reviews from people. It has a shuttle that runs to DL every half hour. I think you'd be fine with either place. CCI has just redone rooms, if I remember correctly, so they may be a little nicer right now.

I had booked the HoJo's over the weekend. And now I remember that the breakfast was what swayed me away from the BW PPI. The HJ and CCI both serve a free breakfast and have free parking, PPI does'nt. I think I will let Bob make the final decision on this one with the helpful info from you, Glynis! That way, I can't be the one who picked the wrong place.
