I also loved Geena Davis's dress -- really brave of her to go out there with red, but I thought it was just beautiful. I didn't get to hear much of her speech -- was durinbg my boys' bath time. Was she rambling?

I think that Renee's dress was beautiful but I would have done it without the second strap - the solid one - it looked like it was choking her

I never thought about it but you're right. Even purple kangaroo talks. Still, my DS's loved that show. I was upset when Steve left. But, the kids and I adjusted to Joe. I haven't seen this year.

The younger crowd love Heath Ledger (my daughter being one of them). I have to admit I think he is gorgeous myself.

tinker1bella dn I went thru something similar. When her two sisters decided to join us, they stayed at Pop. We stayed at POFQ. In hindsight, we should have just stayed at Pop. It was a commando trip (hadn't planned it that way, we just had so much fn in the parks)

They would meet us at a park or for a meal and then we would be together all day, but I missed us being able to stay up and talk to them, run through the connecting doors,

In hindsight, we both agreed, we should have stayed at Pop. Afterall, we were at Disney!! And the fun we all had would have continued on the bus going back to teh resort, we would have stopped at the food court and got soda or ice cream or whatever, and talked and laughed until we keeled over.

Pop was fine. I think you'll have a ball. And use the POFQ money on more souviers!!

Of course this will only work if you get along and want to be together!

Otherwise, you will feel as if you are not getting your own vacation.

If that is the case, then stay at differnet resorts and meet up. That is what we ended up doing and it was a lot of fun. BUt also, tinker1bell and I did everything we planned. I mean everything.

And we also overlapped. We had a couple of days just us. So maybe that would work....

you could see her nipples through the dress - it was obviously cold in the theater and they were just flopped down and I swear I could see the dark part showing through!!

Johnny Depp is another one that the younger crowd seems to love (my daughter also loves him). I have never really seen the attraction. He can go from really clean cut to bum in a month. I never get it.

Don't mean to pile on, but I say AMEN!! to all those that said do the best for your family, and even if the big group thing does work out, still make time just for your individual unit over the duration of the trip.

I invited my parents and my IL's to join us for the final 3 days of our trip last April as a surprise to my DH for his b-day - we did the IllumiNations cruise, etc. While it's something we won't forget and have great memories from, I think we also learned a lot about how/if we would do another trip like this again. I think the problem with large family trips is that everyone feels the pressure to do EVERYTHING together - IMO, in that instance, everyone loses out. It's okay to not vacation as a family, it's okay if vacationing as a family to break off and do things as they interest you, etc.

I think if everyone has the same expectations and talks it out beforehand, then you'll all be a lot happier - if you even end up going at the same time.

When I went with my family at Christmas, my son and his wife requested to be at a different resort than me. So they were at the WL and my Dd and Dsil and the kids and I were at the Poly. We had plenty of together time and they had lots of alone time. That worked well.
