Just saw the add for New World (John Smith/Pocahontas). Wish Rees was old enough to see it. He loves that movie. BTW, I just won a John Smith doll off ebay for him!

I saw that too! Looks like a pretty intense role for Colin Ferrel!

Wow. A movie was nominated that I recognized. King Kong. I don't recognize any of the others! Pretty sad.

I thought it looked like she had been jogging after she pulled it up

Has anyone seen this movie that just won?????? (just for you Amy, I am speaking cryptic...)

No. I just can't imagine watching that one.

My husband also can't fathom the allure of that movie -- can anyone give any hints as to why it's popular?

I can't either ..... but (and I say this cautiously)..... I need to see it I suppose (or talk to someone whose opinion I respect), to .... see if it's winning almost every award it's up for for a valid reason or not.

And that's all I have to say on that subject. :rotfl:

Travolta still looking darn good! Johnny Dep not.

Um, my guess is because it's "revolutionary". That's the term that's being thrown around.

Ok, I'm done now :rotfl:
