I thought that there was a 150 pt. minimum. My DH would feel better starting off small as well.

If you buy from DVC, the minimum is 150. However, if you buy resale, they often have 25 pt and other smaller contracts (add-ons that people are selling).

Thank you, that is exactly what I thought. Since we haven't closed I wonder if we could request a September Allottment? Guess I'll have to call my guide tomorrow. I'd rather go at the end of August as a lot of Southern Schools have already started and it requires less points.

Deb - it is my understanding that you can not request your use year

it is what they are currently selling and you have no control over it - i could be wrong but I remember it not really being an option

Kate and Nancy - so sorry to hear of your loss. I am glad that you could find an answer that soothed Julia and yourself.

My DD was 3 (almost 4) when my dad died. She had trouble grasping the idea that grandpa was gone and she wouldn't see him again. She then did try to wrap her mind around "heaven". She wondered if heaven had macaroni and cheese. She also wondered if there were puppies in heaven.

Their little world is so small, she just wanted to be sure that grandpa would have "happy" things with him.

I'm all caught up now...fast-forwarded through most of it. I have been a subscriber of Entertainment Weekly since 1992, so even though I never get to go to the movies anymore, I still am current on all these films, actors, and actresses.

Reporter had a story on the news here; a man was at a bar watching the game, and when Bettis (Pittsburgh Steelers) fumbled the ball, he had a heart attack!!! Really. The bartender had to call 911 and he is still in the hospital....

Talk about a fanatic!!!
