LOL -- keep reading... you should have gotten up because we were talking about you and trying to yell loudly enough to waken you. It must have worked! :rotfl:

Thanks, Christi, we are. Terra and Connor are getting along much better and only have minor scuffles each day. I don't think that there has been any hitting for at least 2 days (knock on wood). Now we just need to get Daddy here! (He'll be here by Friday.)

Speaking of which, Phil has been feeling especially "zonked", as he calls it, meaning that he is constantly feels like he needs to sleep even though he is getting more than enough of it. He is a little concerned about driving while feeling that tired so could use some prayers and pd if you all could. He will be on the road either Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning through sometime on Friday. I know that he will stop often if he needs to, but I know that he is worried.

Here's :wizard: for a safe trip for Phil :wizard:

Thank you very much Clare.

We at at Whispering Canyon Cafe on Saturday night on Sunday Morning we had breakfast at Cape May Cafe. All the tables are covered in white paper table covers and every table whether you have kids or not get crayons. Well there was no yellow crayons in the packages they had only green, orange, red, and purple.

I was seriously considering yelling we need a yellow crayon, but I restrained myself as there was a child probably about 1 year old who was sleeping at the table next to us and I didn't want to wake them. :thumbsup2 Otherwise I probably would have.

Cool - I like the idea of colouring on the table cloth - when I'm caught up here I'm off to read your TR

Apologies for not getting one up close of his front. The battery died and I missed taking a picture on Matt getting flipped. It was great fun and Matt had a good time.

great pictures--glad he had a good time....i hate when the camera batteries die at important times!! Mine went at the airport--about 2 minutes before our friend steve walked through the doors, as he was coming home from iraq--i was SO glad i had extra batteries!

Here are some of the party pics, after playing inside, running around like wild children and jumping on the tumble track, they had cake and ice cream followed by a couple of hours of water slide fun. I'm sure all those kids are sound asleep by now.

Great pics!!

Congrats to Clare for you milestone (finally!), Debbie for winning Paula's contest, and Kristine on your weight loss! :cheer2:

Sending :wizard: to you June!

Marci, how's your mom?

Jo, good luck with your move!

Love your new designs Kristin and the pictures you posted Debbie.

I hope you have a better day today Deb!

I hope all the migraines and sinus infections have gone away!

I hope Alan's client is understanding, Glynis!

I know I'm forgetting things...please don't hold it against me! :grouphug:

I have spoken praises of this man before on this thread. :thumbsup2 He is my favorite teacher ever and an awesome person who is super dedicated to everything in his life. This article was in today's paper as he is now the head football coach of my High School Alma Mater due to certain circumstances. This article truly shows how down to earth and devoted to things he really is and should remind all of us that our lives are not really in our own control.

FINALLY!!! i am caught up!

I wasn't sure whether to post it, and then thought what the heck... it's very strange isn't it!

I actually just googled it - and there were quite a few Swindlehursts in America on the 1920 census.

This is what it means apparently:

Swindlehurst
English (Lancashire and Cumbria): probably a habitational name from Swinglehurst in Bowland Forest, West Yorkshire, so named from Old English swin ‘hog’, ‘wild boar’ + hyll ‘hill’ + hyrst ‘wooded ridge’.

So apparently my husband's ancestors looked after pigs on hills! :rotfl:

I've been doing some geneology with my mother this summer, and we have Swindlehurts in our family line. How cool is that? Of course, it's from a couple of hundred years ago, but there might be a connection somewhere.

I love Natalie Goldberg. Are you writing as you read too? :goodvibes

Yup. Alan made me promise that now that I'll have more time on my hands that I'd pick up writing again. It's scary, but in a good way! I have several journals that I've been working in over the last couple of years. Maybe nothing will come of it, but I'm enjoying it.

Ok, I completly understand the early morning parade thing. Well I don't understand, :rotfl2: but I sympathize. :grouphug:

Parades are my leastest favorite part of marching band, especially when they are 5 miles and hilly and 100 degrees and you're stopping every 10 feet. :sad2: Or 20 degrees and very windy and snow flurrying in May.

I hope you have deccent weather, and the parade isn't too long and all the kids are on their bestest behavior. :thumbsup2

It was a good parade....no stops though:guilty: harder on the parents to give water...I have also decided that I can't be the mom to pass water out and walk with the parade :guilty: . Too hard on me and the kids. But the weather was perfect 70 degrees and the kids did well....a second place in their conference(4A) and 4th overall. They also had an awesome audience performance later in the day.

We had a tornado warning(actually saw the tornado forming, don't think it ever touched) at the very tail end of the day and passed flash flooding. I was thankful we had decided to take Cassidy home with us rather than on the bus as that allowed us to wait the majority of the storm out in a secure building. Though we say things on the way home I've never seen before....a water rescue (flash flooding of an underpass I guess scared the bejeebers out of the driver and she had to be rescued.) and a rollover. Thankfully no one was hurt and we made it home in one piece...tired but in one piece.

Time for me to get the kids to church. I'll be back in about 3 hours or so. Have a great Sunday, everyone!
