The countdown to POP Century - September 2011!!!!

This is my first post on the dis boards AND its going to be my first trip to WDW along with my boyfriends first trip too! We are super excited!!!
I had a question about the pop since I've never been, are you able to buy loaves of bread or milk there? I heard they had a small shop but i might have misunderstood...

Sept 22-10/6, staying at Pop 50's section! Now we're just waiting till 3/26 so we can start making ADR's and to see when MNSSHP will be held. Probably Tuesdays and Fridays like the last 3 years. I don't want to jinx us but we had very little rain last year and hope for the same this year.

Got your dates added!! We have had good luck on the rain also in September. Hope it continues!

Welcome! Glad your first post was on our thread. As far as your question I think you can. I know they have milk for sure at least they did the last time we were there.

Looks like we are going to be gone by the time you arrive It would be fun to meet up with some people. Need to put a sign in our windows or something to show we are on the DIS.

Think we may have jinxed ourselves. We called disney a couple days ago before we booked and no pin. We booked yesterday and just for kicks I called disney to see if we had any pins. Well, the CM said both me and my wife had FD pins but only until August. To bad we are booked in the middle of September. I wish I hadn't called.

We paid off our pop reservation today and upgraded to CBR. The only problem is I'm not sure if it is worth the 750.00. Kind of having second thoughts. We are on the QSDP and lets face it POP's food court rocks. So don't take me off the list yet. Thanks

Changed our dates: We are now going Sept. 6th - 16th.... Which means 180 days!! Made my ADR's this morning. One step closer!!

I'm another hoping for them to re-release FD for my dates. We didn't think we were going this year. Dh and I wanted to try something else this year but in the ends went with the mouse again. Fd would save me 350.00 over the kids free promo that we have.

It does but at least my ticker is under 6 months now.

A great guideline to the MNSSHP dates is to look at the park hours and check the nights that Magic Kingdom closes at 7:00. My guess is that THOSE are party nights and they are pretty much a spot on match to party nights last year!

We are headed to Pop Century for the first time (Been to DW & DL before)... so excited - there are 19 of us in the group coming (8 kids)... should be a fun trip

Whats the best area of Pop to stay in with so many kids and a MIL who has some difficulty if walking too much?

Has anyone done Fantasmic - supposed to be a fairly busy day in DHS that day... is it worth it? Should we also do the Fantasmic Dining Plan?

We are there the same dates you are. We land in MCO at about 2:45pm. and then catching the Magical express. We have requested the Hippy Dippy Pool area. We have 5 DD's ages(5,7,11,12,12) and one 18 yr DS. So excited to do character meals everyday but praying for FD!!
