Tyler,
My husband just said he saw you several times but didn't realize you were the one I kept saying that I had to find to say hi. He got luggage carts from you several times. You probable don't remember. He had a dodge hat on. You also explained to him the situation with the wheel chairs. So again thank you for all of your help. Also I head several people through the stay comment on the great service. I was very impressed with the bus drivers and their help loading the wheel chair. I was thinking that this trip was going to be very trying on my family because of my medical situration. I can honestly say that this was our best Disney trip out of 7 and alot of it had to do with the resort.

I wish I could remember him... but you might as well just call me Dory. I have a photographic memory... with no film. LOL Oh well... there's always the next trip!!! :)

Question....

I just booked my trip for Feb 04 at Pop Century and the CM asked me if I wanted a fridge and she said it was no charge, but I noticed on the first page of FAQ that there was a charge.....can you clarify?

Thanks!

Hmmm... if the fridge is for Medical purposes, then there is no charge. However, if it's for sodas, food, etc... then, there is a charge... I think it works out to be $10.65 per day after taxes.

Well - maybe I got a deal....she gave me the total and it was the $49 a night rate plus tax and she included a fridge....we do have a 15 month old??? Is that an exception?

Also - off the Pop - I am new to this site - is there a Florida resident or Passholder section?

I am *stumbling* my way around here.....

THANKS!!

I'm back home again from Pop! Wow, was it nice. I saw you several times Tyler! Even this morning we said hi hehe. I like this resort, had wonderful meals, wonderful mousekeeping, everything was great....any questions? Especially like the slushy machine hehe. Talk about a huge arcade....and huge gift shop.

That might be it right there.

I just changed from ASMu to Pop Century in January. Does this resort have Pizza food delivery to the room at all?

Sure does! The Pizza gets delivered in a hippie Volkswagen Bus lookalike van. It's got peace signs, and the words "Peace of Pizza"

Tyler

Just read all 187 post on your thread, WOW you have done a great job, I will now be staying at POP before my DVC stays...Love all the information you have provided.::yes::

Hi,
I am so thankful for this thread! We are scheduled to be at the Pop in Feb. from the 15-20 and I am wondering about how busy that time usually is for crowds, etc. This will be our first trip from CA to WDW. We usually go to Disneyland for my son's birthday, but we decided to hook up with my sister's family for a group trip. Your info about the Pop is incredible and much appreciated.

Is there a way to get a roll-away for any of the rooms(or a cot)? My children may not do so well in the same bed. Any suggestions?

Thanks again!

A couple questions...
1) How would I go about getting a hair dryer from the resort? Am i better off bringing my own?
2) I did not remember to request a room with a king size bed...is it worth it to call and request one or should I not even bother?

Thanks so much...9 days until we leave for Pop Century!!!!

1. Not sure if Pop has the hair dryers but I perfer mine because it has more power.

2.If you want a King size bed you should call back and request it , will make check-in easier and they may not have any rooms with King Size avaliable if you don't.

well I guess that answers it then...when I asked the CM said the only kings were for handicapped and didnt have tubs and stuff...oh well we can switch which beds we sleep in each night I guess !( really just thought there might be a little more room to walk around with a king so no big deal really)

Is the slushy machine, or frozen soda included with the refillable mugs?

That is not true... there ARE king bed rooms with standard bathroons. There are a total of 144 king bed rooms at Pop Century. Of those, 63 have the larger bathroom with the roll in shower, and 81 have the standard tub/shower bathroom.

Hi Tyler!

Can you pay more to guarantee a room with a king bed ... I know I was able to do that at CBR but not at AKL. Just wondering what the situation was like at POP. I haven't stayed at a value resort yet...

TIA :p

Tyler, we stayed in a corner room when we were there. I called and booked my 2 rooms for November. I requested connecting rooms. The cm wasn't sure they had them at PC. Will you let me know if there are connecting rooms?

We may end up adding a 3rd room also. I know you cannot connect 3 rooms. Our trip just gets bigger and bigger! My family is excited about staying there.

Oh you know what the best thing was when I booked the rooms???? When they asked me if I ever stayed there before and I got to say YES.. hehehe.

issues, I know!

We just got back from PC and I can answer a couple of questions based on our experience.

1. There were no hair dryers in the room

2. Our room was a 'connecting', although we didn't use it as a connecting. There was a door between our room and the next room. We never heard anything from them, they were very quiet!

It was a lovely resort. We really enjoyed it and would love to go back. We moved to the Swan for the second half of our trip, and we liked it too, but would have been happy to have just stayed the whole time at PC.

How much is it to rent a Coffee Maker? I don't want to pack mine. ;)
