As far as I know, King Beds cannot be guaranteed.

As for connecting rooms, 50% of our rooms are connecting rooms.

As for hair dryers, I believe you can request them through Housekeeping.

Hi, Tyler!

When we spoke with the special needs people they told us that we were down for a non-smoking, roll-in shower room with a king bed. We don't check-in until later on in the day and while we can live without the king bed, it is easier for me in the room with the wheelchair if there is only one bed. The only real necessities are non-smoking and roll-in shower. Do you think I am going to have a problem getting that? We check in late on Saturday, January 31st for 10 days.

Thank you for any information!

There's a difference between preferences and needs. The roll in shower is only available with the king bed. (The accessible rooms with double beds have a transfer accessible shower) As such because it's more of a need than a desire, it should be pre-blocked by the room assigner.

Don't know about renting one (or if you can even do that?), but there's always the food court. :) Based on my trips to ASMu, you wouldn't be the only person there first thing in the morning - jammies, unbrushed hair and all!

Thanks for the information, Tyler! I expect this is why after we make a reservation, they transfer us over to special services and tell them what we need. We don't stay on-property very much (last time was two years ago), so I'm not always up-to-date on how this kind of stuff is handled. It's nice to know that the room will be assigned and it doesn't matter how late we get there (or how early)(smile), since it will be the same room no matter what!

Our Family will be staying at Pop Century Feb. 14-21st. There are 4 of us. I was looking at the map and thought it would be fun to have a view of the bowling pin pool!! Does anyone know what room # I should request to have a view of the pool. It is going to be a surprise for our kids -DS 8 and DD 101/2!! Should be fun!

Nescafe' and will NOT drink it EVER again!:crazy2: I have a one cup coffee maker, and Dunkin Donuts coffee, I guess I should pack it, as my question wasn't answered anyway......;)

Poohbear123,
I am sorry no one answered your question! I am new to forums but I left a ques. on page 13 and no one answered me either!?:D I just want you to know I noticed...and I empathize about the coffee dilema. I am a Starbucks/Coffee Bean fan and totally spoiled with fresh ground every day. :teeth: I hear they have espresso machines(real ones at the food court at the Pop Century) so I am hoping that will be "sufficient" for the fix necessary for me and my husband.

Have fun

Hi,
I am so thankful for this thread! We are scheduled to be at the Pop in Feb. from the 15-20 and I am wondering about how busy that time usually is for crowds, etc. This will be our first trip from CA to WDW. We usually go to Disneyland for my son's birthday, but we decided to hook up with my sister's family for a group trip. Your info about the Pop is incredible and much appreciated.

Is there a way to get a roll-away for any of the rooms(or a cot)? My children may not do so well in the same bed. Any suggestions?

Thanks again!

I read your question earlier but I'm not sure of the correct answers to the roll-away bed, I have read on other post that at AllStar people have gotten roll-aways but not to exceded room limit of four. (Sounds like your case for children not wanting to share a bed) But I don't know FOR SURE.

As for the dates you're going to be at WDW, that is President's Week and I'm sure the first week-end will be busy...Best action would be to take advantage of EMH then FastPass you will be able to see and do more. Crowds should thin out toward end of your stay.

Hope you have a GREAT TRIP:earsboy:

I believe that your question "How much is it to rent a Coffee Maker?" is why noone knew what to post...at some WDW Resorts they have coffee makers you can call and request at no charge...Pop being so new, I don't think anyone knows for sure...

Tyler has be trying to keep-up with all the questions but he also has to work, he logs in in the a.m. before work then trys to answer more later after work.

I'm trying!! lol... I'm scheduled to be working 73 hours this week, so I've been VERY VERY busy.

In regards to coffee makers, we do not have them available for rooms. We DO however have hair dryers. (You can request them by touching Housekeeping on the phone)

TTTYYYYLLLEERRR!
hehehe
Could you answer this one for us? Some of us are confessed coffee-aholics. And no, nescafe just does not cut it. What can you tell us about POPs coffee and/or espresso.
If it is not "real", I am packin' the press and some FREE TRADE coffee....anyone not familiar with free trade please pm me and I'll fill you in :smooth:

Tyler

Sounds like business is great!
You need to be sure and take care of yourself working crazy hours like that will wear ya down.

I don't like coffee or whatnot, so I can't really tell you much. However, there is coffee, cappuccino, and expresso available at Everything POP.

Pop Century does not have coffee makers available for rent or otherwise.

Considering PC for a future trip...where exactly on the room floor plan do the rooms connect, i.e. where is the door for the connection?
It would be so nice to have 2 rooms, but I can't picture how a door would fit! :scratchin

Tyler,
I think you are amazing to get to as many answers as you do. You answer alot of questions over and over, that must be challenging. I just didn't want poohbear to feel alone;) . I am totally unfamiliar with how forums work(let alone computers, most of the time). You should get some of your buddies at Pop to chip(no pun intended) in and help you with the answers.

Hope we can find you in Feb. and say thank-you in person:)

LOL... one of my co-workers was around here somewhere, but alas, he's working similar hours.

now that I know the stress poor tyler is under I hate to ask but does anyone know if the "specialty coffees" are for use in the mugs or do you have to pay each time??

and ( gulp, holding my breath) really cheapskate question...we are going to Vero Beach the week before WDW...can you use a mug for that at pop or do I need to buy 2, one for each resort...they aren't bad as souvies but since we are going again probably next month can I wait and buy one then?......
