How long does it take to walk to MK from a garen wing room? I will have a 6 year old with us so we can't do it super fast.
Thanks

I would allow about 15 minutes with a 6 year old. Probably less. It's a longer walk back.;)

Normanlly when I use the walkway it takes me about 10 minutes, however with a 6 year old it doesn't matter if you take a little more time to get there.

Does anyone have pictures of the pathway from the tower to the Garden room? We are thinking of staying @CR-Garden Room, because it would be closer to the pool and the dock area. How about pictures from the pool area going to the main building(Contempo Cafe area)? Appreciate any pictures! Thanks.

I don't have specific pictures of what you are asking about, however here is a map of the Contemporary and you can see where exactly Tower and Garden Wing rooms are located to each other. As for getting to the Contempo Cafe or anything else in the Tower, it be just like walking back towards there from the Garden Wing.

I am so excited. I just booked our next trip with the new code. I booked a Garden Wing Deluxe Room. We stayed in the Tower - MK View before. Tell me all about the Deluxe room and about going in the end of May. We are staying May 22 - 27. I am expecting it to be HOT and Crowded. Any advice??

I'm bumping this post in hopes that someone will remember where the beautiful pictures of the Garden Wing Deluxe Rooms would be. If I'm not mistaken, the rooms are located on the "elbow" of the building, therefore you get extra space?? I will keep searching for you, but I remember thinking "wow" that's a beautiful room. I also think they're hard to get because there are only a few!! Enjoy!!;)

Thanks for the map but I still don't know the correct route to the walkway...when I leave garden wing should I walk behind or to the front of tower? I guess once I'm there it will make sense:)

From the Garden Wing you walk behind the Tower - midway - then it is easiest to walk through the bottom floor of the Tower, past the check in counter, out door to the buses. That takes you right to the walkway.

When you walk from the Tower to the Garden Wing you will leave through the back that leads to the pool area, then you will turn right and see a sign that says to the Garden Wing. From there you will see an entrance to the Garden Wing building, so hopefully you can understand what I am trying to say and it's basically doing the opposite of when you go from the Garden Wing to the Tower.

Which( and how many) t.v. channels does CR have? Also, are there dvd players in the rooms? Thanks!
They have the standard ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX Orlando stations.

Besides that they have ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN News, ESPN Classic, ESPN University, Disney Channel, Disney XD, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Weather Network and the Golf Channel which needs to be pressed on the remote, because when changing channels it skips it.

There are also various channels from Germany, China and Tokyo.

Finally there are the standard WDW channels like the must see attractions, DVC info channel, WDW Today information channel and a Contemporary information chnnael.

Also they have those same channels I mentioned listed again which are always closed caption so you will see them again.

Plus they use to get Lifetime on channel 7 and Lifetime Movie Network on channel 8, however they have now become CNBC and MSNBC listed twice on their TV, even though they still have the Lifetime logo when clicking them.

As for DVD players they are only located in the Club Level rooms on the 12th and 14th floors.

We just got back from our WDW vacation and it was amazing! Yes it was crowded, but it was worth it!

i just wanted to say, that it fell in love with the contemporary!!it was perfect! the rooms were spacious enough for my little one to jump around and play with the pack and play set up. The monorail service was so convenient, and the walkway to MK came in handy on overly crowded nights. We had an odd # room (Thank you for the advice) and were able to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks from bed!

Overall it was a very successful first family trip!! im glad we hd the monorail because the bus service was very annoying - waiting on a line with a toddler is unpleasant no matter where you are!

Thanks for all of your help and advice:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Hi everyone!
I just booked our trip for next year (wait, this year now!!), a tower MK view room.
I skimmed about the last 50 pages (not excited or anything haha), and have a question.

I saw a few people mention, but couldn't find an explanation- requesting an odd numbered room.

I've got a while to research requests-what would be the reason for the odd numbered rooms?
Thanks

With an odd numbered room your beds will be facing the Magic Kingdom, so it will be the first thing you see when you wake up in the mornings.

ah thanks- that was quick!
few more questions-

Is it any use to request a high floor, or should I assume everyone does that?
And does anyone have any advise on location- which end to be near? Or does it really matter (I don't care much about noise-but does anyone have any preference how the location affects view)
