Even though I have never been to the California Grill what I do know is they pipe in the music for Wishes into the restaurant, so that's something else to remember when going there.

I am shocked! With as many times as you have stayed at the CR, you've never eaten at CA Grill? You really need to try it on your next trip - it's an experience worth trying at least once.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone who's been to the Cali Grille can tell me on average how long your meal was from your appetizers to dessert? And if your kiddo is getting antsy, might it be possible to ask to get dessert to go so you can go back to your room to eat it? I've read on other threads that the meal from start to finish can be up to two hours, and wanted to ask my CR experts! :thumbsup2

We have eaten here 3 times and each time our meal has been about 90 minutes (maybe a little less) from appy through dessert. We do tend to eat early (5:30 or so) which might help the kitchen from getting backed up.

And thanks for the odd numbered room tip...I need to have my TA add that to our ressie :thumbsup2

Happy New Year everyone!!!

Well hopefully one day we will once eat there, because I would like to try it.

Thank you very much. I'm starting to like this website(allears.net), they have lots of little details
You're welcome. I love all of their menus and reviews of just about everything Disney!

BTW: CA Grill has wonderful sushi and sashimi.

And killer flatbreads and an amazing filet for us landlubers!! :rotfl:

CR Fan, I am STUNNED that you and your fmaily have never tried it!! :faint: Add it to the top of your must do's for the next trip!!

My 6 year old said he wanted to eat there for his birthday, but changed his mind and decided he wanted to eat there our very first night instead ("It's too good to wait!")

Has anyone here done the Pirate and Pals fireworks cruise??? I was thinking about doing it in June but wanted to know what people thought of it first

Now see. We ate at Calif Grill during our December trip. And it was nice enough.

But the view was pretty much the same as it was from our CR balcony.

And the food was too "fancy schmancy" for me. I'm your basic meat and potatos kind of girl (or perhaps cheeseburger and fries :rotfl2: ).

So although we're glad we tried it once, we won't be back.

Same here! We've stayed many times at CR, but never have tried Cali Grill for this reason....the menu doesn't appeal to us.

OK, here's some Ca Grill meat and potatoes!

Oak-fired Filet of Beef - with Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Baby Zucchini, and Teriyaki Barbecue $44

Seriously, for meat and potatoes, nothing beats WCC!

Well like I said before hopefully we will get to try it, because it's somewhere that I want to eat at. Although I have thought of the idea of just going there to eat the Sushi at their Sushi Bar, because we are big fans of it.

I also love the sushi at the Poly and at Tokyo Dining; they have great tempura, too.

I must be hungry...

Last month my family and I went to the Sushi Bar two different times at the Polynesian, so if we can try the Sushi Bar at the California Grill it would be great to comapre their taste and etc.

Hey Guys,

Quick Questions. What about parking. We are staying there for 4 nights/5 days. I noticed Valet Parking is 12 a day. Do you have to do that?? or is there free parking??

Thanks for your help!
