Team Mickey - Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Challenge

Saturday QOTD ---- Since we're all disney fans, when did your love for all things disney begin? Did you get the disney magic from the first time you entered a disney park, or was it a love that gradually built up?

going scrapping at my friends tomorrow!!!:thumbsup2

QOTD: I fell in love with Disney the first time we visited the parks. We love to go as a family and my husband and I love to go by ourselves too. We have done that twice DL and WDW), and will go "parents only" again to WDW for the Wine and Dine half in November. I love the theme parks, and I love the Disney races, and I just love the whole vibe there. I love WDW and DL for different reasons, but I love them the same. I have been on the Magic twice and the Wonder once, and love the cruises! I have never done a 4 night cruise (yet) but we are doing one on the Dream in September, so I am really looking forward to that! It will be our first time in Castaway Cay. Our other cruises have been Mexican Riviera x 2 and Alaska.

Also......I just want to say that I am super thankful for Team Mickey. I think this group rocks and we are very lucky to have the support of everyone on this thread! :) :thumbsup2

Good morning TEAM MICKEY! :smickey:

this weekend is the Princess half!!?? ohhhhhhh i soooo want to do this someday!!!

Yes, Princess Maria (Worfiedoodles) is there as well as Princess Rose from Team Donald. princess:

We are having a blast reliving our old memories from last year on the BL Princess thread. It's a little more "magical" than the Tinker Bell Half because you are on Disney property the whole time at WDW. That means losts of characters, floats, etc. And one hot fire fighter dancing on the bucket outside the MK when you really need a little lift.

Pamela, please come visit anytime! :flower3: I never go to the pool and not think about you and your family and your dedication to your DD's chosen sport. I'm glad that she made it safely to CR and will pray for her safe return soon. What a wonderful opportunity, even though that coach made a big snafu.
I do enjoy swimming and it is a nice change from running. :beach:

Hi Team! Just checking in on weigh in day! No gain or loss for me, but I'm ok with that. I wish I could have a big lose one of these weeks to help the team, but alas a maintain is better than a gain I guess!

A maintain is a winner in my book every time! :thumbsup2

QOTD: I've never watched the show, so can't answer it.

This is not the season to start watching -- it is drama filled and hardly worth the trouble.

Buffy and Molli when you are dreaming of future Disney races, please strongly consider the 2013 WDW Marathon Week-end. Rose and Nancy are doing their first full marathons, several of us are doing the Donald Half Marathon, and it is the BIG WISH meet week-end. There is a 5K. That is January 10-13, 2013. Several of the BL regulars will there! :goodvibes

GOOO Lisa! The Krocman sounds super fun, and what a great idea! And girlfriend, in my book, that IS a real triathlon! That's a big commitment and YOU ARE DOING IT!!! Wow, that is amazing! One day (maybe) I'll have the courage to do something like that!! Until then, I will have to live vicariously through you! Hope physical therapy goes well!

Thanks, Melinda! :flower3: I've seen your race schedule. :worship: you have oodles and oodles of courage and determination! ::yes::

That's a lot of working out, Susan, once that sodium is out of your system, you should have a great whoosh! :goodvibes

LTS, hope the tummy is better today. :flower3:

Good luck bowling for GKTW today, Tracey! :woohoo:

I did it last year. And OMG my terrific friend Jen made tutus for us to wear while running!!

You guys were so cute! princess:princess: I tried to find a picture but Jen took them out of her photobucket.

Start thinking about January 2013! :thumbsup2

That sounds so cool. What a great goal to do it in 30 days!! Still a huge accomplishment!

It's 30 days for each leg -- a total of 90 days. It is an accomplishment and takes alot of effort to get things done. I still have a lot of swimming to do since I was down with my back but I will make it. :goodvibes

Nice to see you back, CC! :flower3:

Qotd: I love Bob plain and simple I love him...

BUT....Oh Baby I could add Dolvett to my list!!! :lmao:

:lmao: This could be my answer, too. I liked Jillian but at the end she bugged me after she had her nose done and kept making all those wierd faces. :rotfl:

Saturday QOTD ---- Since we're all disney fans, when did your love for all things disney begin? Did you get the disney magic from the first time you entered a disney park, or was it a love that gradually built up?

I grew up in Anaheim, home of Disneyland, and worked there as a cast member while I was in college, so my love of all things Disney goes way, way back. I have a Disney office -- as you might have inferred from my tag -- wear Disney jewelry every day and not a day goes by that I don't think about Disney.

I was down a pound this week -- the same pound from earlier in the week where I finally snagged my fabulous 60 pound clippie after 3 years of WISHing! :goodvibes So I thank all you WISHers who inspired me to do things that I never thought were possible and encouraged me to dream BIG for myself! :flower3:

Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Pamper Week, Sat. 2/25: It's Saturday. Do something you find fun.

Ugh... This week has been bad personally (better food wise). I have a student that makes darn sure I earn my paycheck and then some. I've also been dealing with parents that are a tad difficult to say the least.

Yesterday was a "fat day". Do you ever have those days? Some days are skinny days, you just feel skinnier and look skinnier. Yesterday was the opposite, even though I'm down this week. I'm sure a lot of it is that time of the month, but it's still kind of frustrating.

:wave2:

Couldn't answer yesterday's QOTD because I have never seen the show

Happy Scrappin!

I am not sure when mine really did. We went to Disneyland a few times when I was young because my step grandmother lived in the LA area. But I really don't have any memories of it. Then when I was a senior in high school she came to visit and I flew back with her and stayed for a week. My cousins asked what I wanted to do while there and I said Disneyland! They were :sad2: but since that was all I wanted to do we went. Again, I really don't even remember it much because I didn't have the "appreciation" that I have now.

When we got married all I wanted to for a honeymoon was to go on the Big Red Boat (remember that?). But alas, no money, no honeymoon at all. I had priced a Disney trip several times when we were married but it always seemed so expensive. Then in 2002 my mother said she wanted to take us so I found the DIS and started researching. That began my true love affair with Mickey! It was only supposed to be a one time trip-- do it all and enjoy it all now because we are never going back. Thank goodness it wasn't!

:cheer2::woohoo::cool1: Congratulations!! :cool1::woohoo::cheer2:

I was just trying to figure out this morning when I might be able to get my 60 clippie. Hopefully it will be by the end of this Challenge. And maybe even get traded up for a 70 or 75.;)

 Sorry you are dealing with difficult parents and kids.

I absolutely have Fat Days! And those are usually the days I am cranky and then tend to overeat or make bad choices.

Vegging so far today. DD11 went to a church lock in last night and may have had an hour of sleep (what is the point of that?) so she came home and slept for about 2 hours and I had to wake her up to go sell GS cookies with her troop. I suspect when she gets home it will be straight back to be for her.

Went to the middle school talent show last night because DD's friends were in it. The middle school kids in the audience that were unsupervised were incredibly obnoxious. They weren't rude to the performers (boos /heckling) which was their only saving grace. They talked and talked and talked through the whole thing, kept switching seats, and kept going in and out of the auditorium. I know one of the teachers that was there went and tried to deal with one group of them. We were at the left end of the main set of seats and a couple of girls came up and wanted to walk across me and everyone else to get to their friends on the right side. I told them no way. There are multiple doors and if you want to be on the right then go out and come in the right side door instead of bothering the 20 people already sitting there trying to watch the show.

I am probably going to spend today working on photos. I am in the process of getting all my negatives put on digital disks and then uploaded to Memory Manager. I somehow lost control and can't figure out what I need printed, what I already have, which photos were taken by my inlaws so I need to scan them to use and which negatives have been put on digital. I was looking at the photos of DD16 when she was an infant. She is the first grand and great grand child for both sides of the family. And you know how many photos I have of her with my mom and DH's grandmother? ONE! One picture of my mom holding her when she came to visit for a few days and one photo of her with Great Grandma over Christmas. :headache: I know it is because that was when money was really tight and film and developing was expensive! And I also didn't scrapbook back then so I didn't realize I would want to fill 2 12x12 pages with photos! I was able to just make one page with 4 photos, one of her with each grandparent.

Need to get my menu made today. I have been putting it off for a week but it has to get done. My stomach is still very unhappy and I am back to not being able to eat anything. I got sick from just a small amount of white rice last night. I have had a protein shake for breakfast and hopefully the liquid will not cause problems. If this keeps up I will be getting that 60 pound clippie a lot sooner than I thought!!!:rotfl:

Have a great weekend and make it Healthy and On Plan!

QOTD: I'd been to DL a couple of times as a kid and twice while in college (love those 18 hour nonstop drives!) but wouldn't say I was in love. Then my little bro moved to Florida and DH and I decided to take the kids on a once in a lifetime vacation. That was when we all fell in love with Disney. And yes, we've been back 3 times since. It's DH who always wants to go back, but we don't know when that will happen. We're just now planning our trip to DL for our 25th in November. It'll be his first time there--and mine in a quarter of a century!!

DS1's team won the basketball game last night. That means they will begin the first round of state playoffs Wednesday. We forgot to ask him how he felt about playing his last high school home game. He's a boy--he'd probably say, "What do you mean? How do I feel? It's just a game, Mom." He did make honorable mention for his league. He's happy to be recognized by all the other coaches.

Nothing on the agenda this weekend. DS2's choir sings at church tomorrow. Guess he has a couple solos and will play his flute to accompany a couple girl solos. I better make sure he practices!!!

Have a super weekend! I just ate donuts for breakfast, but plan to be good the rest of the weekend!!

Hi Lisah0711
! How's that back treating you? I hope its just relaxing and relaxing as time goes on, and you are completely over it very soon.

Wow- It sounds so awesome reliving your memories of other races on this thread. I can't wait to do that for Tink next year. Are you doing that race again? I am debating on whether to do that one or to do the WDW Half (Donald) again. I did that one in Jan 2011, but now that I did Tink in Jan 2012, and have the chance to maybe start a routine and do them all, I am perplexed. What do you plan to do? I personally liked the course of the Donald because it was all inside WDW property and I felt maybe more spectators, which I definitely loved. I really liked the Tink too, and felt I was a little more far along with my training for, and still had a good time. My times were similar for both races. I am looking to PR in 2012 (Wine & Dine), and the next race will be coming fairly quickly. Just trying to decide if its going to be Donald or Tink. Decisions, decisions! I am definitely going to make it to a WISH meet, though!

Thank you for what you said about my race schedule. It is ambitious, but running doesn't really scare me like it used to. I certainly feel that drive to get better, and I do get a little freaked out at the start line (who doesn't?) but I know I can do it. I am not fast and don't know if I will be for quite some time, but when I work hard, I can do it. Swimming on the other hand is something I just cannot do, have a fear of, and don't know if I will ever do. My hat is off to you Lisah0711, seriously. You are doing something awesome! Maybe one day I can get some swimming lessons. My fear is it would be with a bunch of 6 year olds. lololol.

And a major CONGRATULATIONS :worship::banana::worship::banana::worship: on that 60 pound clippie! OMG! That is just fantastic!!!

I do remember the BIG RED BOAT commercials. And I hope you get that next clippie VERY SOON! :thumbsup2 Sounds like the talent show was inhabited by middle schoolers from our school here. Obnoxious doesn't even begin to cover it! Good for you for not allowing them to run rampant right over top of you. Kids these days! Where are parents?

QOTD: I'd been to DL a couple of times as a kid and twice while in college (love those 18 hour nonstop drives!) but wouldn't say I was in love. Congrats to your sons' basketball team! Woo hoo! That is great!

My daughter's basketball game was cancelled today so I had time to go to Spin. I was very thankful for that! That pushed my WW activity points for the week up to 52. I don't use them, but this week I tracked them to see how many I got. I am going to try to maintain over 50 per week.

My DD15's boyfriend broke his finger in a hockey game this morning so she is at the hospital with him now. Never a dull moment in this house!

I hope every Mickey and Donald has a great OP day today and we all are losers throughout the weekend!!

Saturday QOTD ---- Since we're all disney fans, when did your love for all things disney begin? Did you get the disney magic from the first time you entered a disney park, or was it a love that gradually built up?

going scrapping at my friends tomorrow!!!:thumbsup2

Always liked it. Always Disney fans--movies, stuff, shows etc. Really went nuts over it a few years ago, going back after not having gone for almost 10 years.

By the way for the BL fans-- did you all see this?
Thanks for the link--looks like they resumed filming-- minus 2 players. Mark is one of them I think from evidence. Bet Conda is still there....

Was happy to find a big skateboard at goodwill yesterday--I think it'll be easier for me. Finally found a decent helmet that fits too that isn't too ugly...I am going to start riding my bike to work when it is feasible. Made some eggs today with tomato and mushrooms and cheese-- was so good. Was really hard to stop eating the darn things but I did. :guilty:

loves to scrap--you had to share about the cottage cheese at Costco....it is soo good! My favorite thing now is dipping cottage sheese with those organic tortilla chips...that's not too terrible is it? I puts loads of cottage cheese on each chip and put both in tiny sauce cups. This is my new snack at night.
I also got humongous grapes, broccoli salad and mushrooms and a big thing of the costco vitawater stuff. Have a great day everyone!

FRIDAY QOTD: Who is your favorite Biggest Loser personality? (any season)

Trainers: I LOVE Bob and Jillian! When Bret and Cara were on I warmed up to Bret. Cara I couldn't stand. All she talked about was "her" carer and "her" boxing. Dude, the show isn't about you, its about the contestants. Then last season when they had Ana Kornikova on she did nothing but baby the contestants.

BL contestants: Abbey Rike was my all time favorite. She and I have similar life tragedies and I felt more of a connection with her on a personal level in addition to the weight problem.

------------

Okay, I've loved having mom here but am ready for her to go home. These last few days she's getting on my last nerves.
We went to Cocoa Beach on Thursday and had a blast. I'm sunburned really bad and am taking the day to relax. We were going to go to a park tomorrow but looks like there is a really high chance for rain. I don't feel like walking through Disney in a poncho, no thanks.

We got home late yesterday morning from Cocoa so I didn't get to weigh myself. I got on the scale this morning and I'm down 1.8 pounds. I'm 9.8 pounds from ONEDERLAND!

The Schwans guy showed up this morning with all of our yummy goodies. I got some chocolate frozen yogurt, strawberry banana smoothies, sweet potatoes, baker garlic potatoes, and frozen pizzas. I tried one of the smoothies earlier. They were more like frozen yogurt then anything. I had to nuke it in the microwave for a bit to get it to a liquid consistancy but for the most part they were good. They were about 390 calories a piece so defintely not something that I will order on a regular basis but every now and again. I started another order for when he comes back in 2 weeks. I told Alan I didn't want him coming every week because I wanted time to eat the stuff that we have.

We're having sloppy joes tonight for dinner and at some point I need to get on the treadmill and get my mileage in for the night. I need to get an hour workout in so I hit my 3 hours for the week. I also need to start drinking water. Its almost 6pm here and I've not had any water today, YIKES!

Be back later to read a few pages..

Friday QOTD: I love Jillian. I used to watch the show when she was on it while on the elliptical and pretend that she was yelling at me! It was very motivational. Several contestants have been motivational as well. I loved the father son team a few years ago and then they got the brother moving too! I laved Ramone last season! Great attitude! There have been many that I absolutely hate, especially COnda this season! Just can't stand her! Pray she goes home soon! Too drama driven for my taste!

Still fighting this darn cold. Didn't eat much until we went out to dinner and I had 4 pieces of pizza! I couldn't help myself! Came home and we shared some cheesecake and then I had a margarita. Hoping I can get back on the elliptical tomorrow at some point. I want to get back to my twice a day workouts. Just hoping I can breathe tomorrow. Going to take it easy tomorrow otherwise and bake some cookies with the kids and watch some movies. I have to go out once to take Izzie to Daisies. PLanning on sleeping late. I put Brian in charge of the meals tomorrow. I just need a day off!

Watching the Bruins game and heading to bed soon with the help of some Nyquil!

TTFN :tigger:

Saturday QOTD ---- Since we're all disney fans, when did your love for all things disney begin? Did you get the disney magic from the first time you entered a disney park, or was it a love that gradually built up?

Oh, I have a family history of loving Disney! :lovestruc

This is from a trip report I did several years ago...

A Little Bit of Tiki23 Disney History

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I remember very little of my first two trips to Disneyland. I was 2 on the first trip and 2 ½ on the second. When I was 2, my Mom and Dad and I were living in Costa Mesa. They didn’t have much money then but we were happy. We were living in a little tiny house and my Mom was cooking on a hotplate and an electric fry pan.

One week my Dad made an extra $50 helping to paint a house after work. He asked my Mom if she wanted to buy a stove with that $50 or go to Disneyland. My Mom didn’t skip a beat, she said “I’ve been cooking just fine like this and I guess I can keep on a while longer – let’s go have some fun!”

I have a glimmer of a memory of riding Dumbo with my Dad. I only have one other memory of my Dad, from when I was about 3; he came home from deer hunting with a deer tied onto the car. He was killed about a month later in a car accident involving a drunk driver. My Mom was 6 months pregnant with my Dsis at the time.

When I was 2 ½, my Grandpa came down from Oregon to take me trick-or-treating. He was so excited about taking the first grandbaby out for the big night. I guess I got scared to death at the first house when the door was opened by a little old man, and we were done for the night! To get over his disappointment with Halloween, Grandpa took us to Disneyland before he went back home. Another glimmer of a memory aboard Dumbo – this time with Grandpa!

After Dad died, Mom and I moved in with Grandpa and Grandma. DSis was born when we lived with them. I wanted to name her “Cinderella” but my Mom gave her the boring ol’ name of Laura Kathleen.

My Mom grew up watching “The Mickey Mouse Club.” DSis and I grew up watching “The Wonderful World of Disney” every Sunday night. I loved watching the start of that show, when Tinkerbell came on the screen, I really thought it was magic. Any of you around my age might remember that feeling – this was before VCR’s so you planned ahead for the shows you wanted to watch because if you missed it, who knew when it was going to be on again? (Same thing with the Christmas specials. I had to watch “Rudolph” “The Little Drummer Boy” and Charley Brown or it just wasn’t Christmas time!)

We never made a family trip to Disneyland. We lived on a farm and it was hard to get away. Our one big family trip was a car trip to Minnesota to visit relatives. We stopped at Yellowstone along the way; I’d love to go back again some day. I can remember being in 6th grade and one of my classmates was going to WDW over Christmas vacation. I really wasn’t even jealous because I couldn’t even fathom all 5 of us FLYING on an airplane to take a vacation – but I still would have loved another Disney vacation, on either coast!

Fast forward to when I was 17 and I spent the summer in Southern California. I was staying 2 blocks from the beach in San Diego. Being a sun bum back then, I was in heaven. But I also made trips to the theme parks and to Disneyland that summer. I felt that magic again, the magic that I felt when I saw Tinkerbell fly across our TV screen.

Hey guys, life has gotten in the way of DISboard time, but I've been reading back trying to catch up, keep losing, team MICKEY!

Anyway, thanks everyone for indulging me in helping with motivation! I enjoyed coaching, but need to get my butt in gear, I am still maintaining and I need to lose!!

That is pretty much where I'm at right now, I'm *maintaining* in this challenge--oh, up a lb here, down a lb there, but essentially at the same place I was on the scale. I have made some positive changes, however:

  1. I am working out, without fail, 3 times per week--going to the gym, getting on the TM and hitting anywhere from 8-13 miles per week, depending on what training plan calls for. Have NOT missed a run on my HM training plan yet, woo hoo (and there have been 21 of them this year!):cool1: I guess that is the most positive change I've made since this challenge began, so thank you, BLC:worship:
  2. I have logged everthing on MyFitnessPal for the last 62 days! Haven't missed a day! Thank you, BLC, for helping me with that positive habit!!!!:thumbsup2
  3. I have a much better outlook at school this year and last, despite some incredibly challenging students this year (I feel you, Friend of a Mouse!!!). I have not let that deter me from the running!

Saturday QOTD ---- Since we're all disney fans, when did your love for all things disney begin? Did you get the disney magic from the first time you entered a disney park, or was it a love that gradually built up?

We drove down in the 70's when I was 10, went to MK for 1 day, hit Circus World, Wet 'n Wild, and Kennedy Space Center. Four days in all, then we drove back to Jersey. When ds & I had kids 25 yrs later, we put it off for years, I was one of those that thought my kids were too small. But in 2006 when my ds#2 was 1 and ds#1 was 4 1/2, it was the right time (for the record, you have to know your kid--my ds#1 would NOT have enjoyed WDW at age 1--and by extension we would not have either, lol). We were blessed that my parents came with us, we split a 2 BR villa at Wilderness Lodge with them, and it was just incredible, wow. AND turned out to be an even bigger blessing, because my mom got sick 6 months later and was gone a year after that. So I am so glad that my parents got to be a part of our first WDW trip as a family:lovestruc I guess I've held on to that, and we've been back 9 more times since then, so blessed--and every time we/the kids reminisce about that first and only trip with their healthy grandparents:goodvibes.

So, like lisah0711, not a day goes by that we don't talk about it or check out photos/the web--it is an everyday part of our lives:love: I am hoping there are worse things to be obsessed with:rotfl:

Buffy and Molli when you are dreaming of future Disney races, please strongly consider the 2013 WDW Marathon Week-end. Rose and Nancy are doing their first full marathons, several of us are doing the Donald Half Marathon, and it is the BIG WISH meet week-end. There is a 5K. That is January 10-13, 2013. Several of the BL regulars will there! :goodvibes
[...]Start thinking about January 2013! :thumbsup2

I would LOVE to consider the WDW 1/2, but I'm a teacher and that just doesn't jive with the school calendar! Unless I convince DH to move to FL and just do it on a weekend...hmmm....:rolleyes1

It's 30 days for each leg -- a total of 90 days. It is an accomplishment and takes alot of effort to get things done. I still have a lot of swimming to do since I was down with my back but I will make it. :goodvibes

That Ironman TRI sounds SO great! Love how it's a full Ironman but they break it up!!!! BEST of luck!

No office or jewlery, but same here, not a day goes by that we don't talk about it, reminisce about a good time @ WDW, etc. It's been great for our family:-)

:flower3:

WAY TO GO, WOW!!!!!! 60 lbs!!!!!!:worship:

I woke up less than an hour ago and was barely awake until now. I went to the mall last night and then didn't sleep well. I apologize.

Pamper Week, Sunday 2/26: Spend some time relaxing, visualizing yourself in your "happy place."

Morning Mickeys!

I did not sleep well last night. I was either hot or cold and kept waking up as such and fixing the blankets. Then, there were the nightmares. I lost count of how many times I woke up during the night. :headache:

Yesterday was okay. I got to the gym and it was packed. I am hoping to go today after lunch. We went out to dinner and then shopped for awhile. I, surprisingly, found 2 pairs of shoes. I have a wide foot, but sometimes wide is too wide. I really needed a new pair of black shoe that give me some height because even short pants are too long for me. I was quite surprised at how successful last night's shopping trip was. We also found a Baptism gift for a newborn girl and I got a new reusable water bottle. This one holds 16 oz., which I thought would be good for storing on my bedside table. I'll use the 24 oz. one for the gym. I have a 32 oz. one somewhere and when I find it, I'll store that one in my car.

I hear my parents in the kitchen. It must be lunch time.

Have a great, OP day today everyone!

Still feeling not so great! Laying on the couch all day so far. Not eating well. Everything is for comfort still! Hoping to kick this cold out tonight as I have to work tomorrow and volunteer in Izzie's class in the morning.

Izzie also has dancing in the afternoon. Tuesday is also a busy day. Looking forward to staying home Wednesday and listening to podcasts and relaxing!

TTFN :tigger:

Happy weekend, Mickeys!

Friday night was my book club, and ooh, it was fuuuun. We talked about the book, we talked about other stuff, we drank wine, we snacked, and I was definitely digging into my weekly points allowance, but it was all worth it. I had a great time! Woke up Saturday to a bunch of bloat, but I did a nice fast 45 minute ride on the stationary bike, and I feel better this morning.

No workout today, though - I was at both services for church this morning (chorale and staffing a committee table kept me running from 8:30 until almost 1pm!). I had a Luna bar on the way in, a banana between services, and an apple after the second service, and I'm only now feeling kind of hungry.

I made beef barley soup (first time through) on Friday, and we have tons left over, so that'll be my main meal today. 4 points plus per cup, and I really love it! Tonight is the Oscars - anyone remember my Golden Globes madness? Saving points like crazy so I could indulge in my dark chocolate m&m's habit that night? Same deal tonight - I can't wait! I have my spreadsheet ready with my pool and my picks, and I've set the DVR for two red carpet specials and the broadcast. DH knows to clear everyone out at 5:30. :)

QOTD Disney - I never went to Disney as a child. My parents were just not at all into it. AT ALL. I went for the first time with friends when I was 25, and I fell in love with it, even though we didn't do a ton. I went again with DH, and he became the Disney-holic in our family. Now I'm as hooked as he is. We have our favorite things, but we try to spread out and try places we haven't been before, too. There's no shortage! For DH's 40th last year, I took him to Disneyland (we hadn't been), and it was a blast. We stayed at the Grand Californian (!) and met up with our best man and his wife, who live in CA. We're now bicoastal Disney fans. :)

QOTD name - I might cheat here. :)

Lively
Intellectual
Zippy

Lively - I talk a lot, I laugh a lot, and I feel like I'm always getting into social stuff. I love to be with people, a definite extrovert! Intellectual - it sounds like an ego thing to say that, but I don't mean it in the "oooh, I'm so smaaart" way. I just love reading and learning about new things, and I feel like my whole life is that kind of journey. Zippy - I am too fast! I'm good about not driving too fast, but I talk fast, and I especially eat fast. That's been something I've had to work on so much for weight loss - I tend to eat so fast that I don't realize I'm full until I'm way past the point where I should have stopped! Portion control has helped me a ton with that, but I wish I could just plain slow down. It goes back to, I think, being a super busy teenager and grabbing fast food on the way to whatever activity I was doing, scarfing it down in five minutes so I wouldn't be late.

Aren't you glad I didn't tackle "Elizabeth?" :lmao:

XO
Liz
