HI G-LUV!!!! :wave:

I miss her witty banter. :guilty:
Did you get it all set? I called them and it said, "All circuits are busy" HOLY COW!

I'm IN, baby!! :cool1:

Got a 2 bedroom at SSR for 6 nights! And I've still got lots of points left for either an improptu trip in the fall/early winter-ish or a studio for TE & Waldo should they decide to join us in August. :teeth:

Now I have to work on the ADR's. I'm not happy with my current list - I need to add some pizzaz! Is that how you spell that?? :confused3

Well, I didn't wanna say anything...:rolleyes1
Really? I did. :teeth: LY T!

YAAAY!!!! I was just popping in to see if you got through to MS. Can I get a WOOO HOOOTY??!!??!! :woohoo:

So do any of you write out a household budget?
We are starting one for this year so I can see what we actually spend on stuff

Dude I was saving my receipts of stuff since Oct and I can't believe how much money I spend! :scared1: I don't even know how I spent that much. Needless to say it was a big eye opener and I will be eating out a lot less since I got the buying crap I really don't need thing controlled pretty good. My weakness is my scrapbooking stuff......and Disney. But the last 2 Disney Vacays were paid in cash so no debt from those! :woohoo:

Hey for the big blowout vacay, why don't you and your friends try to rent a 2 BR or Grand Villa DVC. ;)

s'late: I'm not a Wii girl :flower3: I played it once since my little brother has it, but it didn't really do anything for me. The BF has it, he hardly ever plays and he doesn't have the Wii Fit (I asked :rolleyes: ).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on. Work draaaaaged :snail: last night. I was so happy to go home. Got home and watched Fred Claus. Cute movie :thumbsup2 . Then fell asleep.
I started my workouts yesterday, gotta go do some now. I bought this thing I saw on infomercial called Core rhythms which is basically dancing/exercising. I did it yesterday and my whole body was sore....so guess that's a good thing lol.
Ok off to workout, shower and off to work. It's gonna be a long weekend, I can feel it. :sad2:
They were a bit too old for it when it was released but the original Noddy is from my childhood, good old Big Ears :rotfl2:
My Gus loved Noddy when it was on PBS here!
Mel- Poor Gus! :guilty: That means my baby is older than him. She'll be 12 in May. I wonder if we can do an arranged marriage? :rolleyes1
I just booked a for a 3 night stay at South Padre Island in August. :banana:
Hi Silent Jen!!! :cheer2:
Sure, we want a big wedding though....AT DISNEY, natch. :love:
Whoo Hoooooo! S. Padre! PAR-TAY.
nothing concrete yet...just hoping to go in October sometime, during food & winer hopefully!
I ahve made a version of this pizza before-- YUM! Sorry about the gym, poor Gus!
Oh, Gus will get over it. In fact, he already came to me since we've been home and said he'd come to the gym tomorrow morning! (I did remind him that he'd likely have to go to childcare for a bit again till he could swim) and he said that's fine!)
In truth we don't owe too much but I wanna knock it back a bunch before we start saving for the next WDW trip. I want to have the $ for it first before we go, not spend then add to the credit card when we can(it's why we have debt now, thanks a lot mickey!)
I have a spreadsheet where I record what I owe and what i actually pay but no "Budget" per se. I need one though.....
Hey Jen2! Miss you girl!
YAY! I just made all my ADR's today! I'm happy except for the fact that they don't have a SINGLE opening for dinner at Chef Mickey's except at 8:45 pm! OMG. That's a bit LATE!!!
***************
Got the chicken marinating, with Gus' help. Bob came home early at 3:30 pm! Yay! :banana: :banana: :banana:
We're having the pizza tonight, and then watching the new Hulk movie with Ed Norton and Liv Tyler. Anyone see it?? I am looking forward to a night with the boys and NONE of their friends! Finally!
The kiddos have music lessons tomorrow so that will eat up most of my early afternoon.
Hope you guys are having a great day!
MEL
PS Angela, check your email!!!
Did you guys see that John Travolta's son died today? How sad...:sad2:
Way to go T on getting your ressie!:thumbsup2
Here's the recipe for those of you who wanted it:
Thai Chicken Pizza
From the Rachel Ray Express Lane Meals Cookbook
ENJOY!
Thanks that sound great. I will have to go and get some of the stuff in order to make it.
Only if you post on my TR :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
I will break my read only trip report rule since I have already designed the shirt and it will not look right with out the picture. Just remember you didn't say what pictures were off limits. I wonder if people find it strange when you are on my tshirt :rotfl:
Yes but I stop part way through the year when I want something I can not afford. :rotfl2:
Not yet, but I will...I bought the Dave Ramsey books yesterday and another book that was a whole bunch of worksheets for budgets, etc...
Money's starting to get really, really tight so I have to get myself together. Needless to say, there will not be 4 trips to WDW in 2009 :sad2: . In hindsight, that was really stupid...
Really? I did. :teeth: LY T!
Hi Jo. THere's a show called Make Way for Noddy that Jimmy likes. IT's a Brit show. DId your girls watch that or is that a newer show?
:lmao: Jimmy loves it. STOP in the name of Plod!:goodvibes
It must be a boy thing, cause my girls can't stand that show! In fact, it came on this afternoon and they immediately turned the channel over to something else.
Kat - we have a spreadsheet that we use for a monthly budget. Most of it is set for the month (fixed bills like the mortgage, preschool, car payments etc.) and what's leftover after those and the utilities is what we have to spend for the month. Then, we've got another spreadsheet that we keep track of all of our spending on. It starts at the top with the amount from the first spreadsheet and subtracts everything we spend. That way we know how much money we have left as we get closer to the end of the month.
DH also found a really great spreadsheet online that helps you figure out what credit card to payoff first and how to minimize the amount of interest you will pay over the long-run. PM me if you want it.
I think it's pizzazz?? But :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: about the 2BR villa. I wanna take our friends with us one year and get a treehouse! I just wonder how many points that would take....
My Gus loved Noddy when it was on PBS here!
See?? It's a boy thing!
My girls love going to the Child Watch area at our Y! In fact, DD7 doesn't get to go very often because I normally work out while she's at school. But, she will get to go on Monday, when I start my new lifestyle change! :thumbsup2
~~~~~~~~~~~
So, DH and I are going out with my best friend and her DH to a fancy schmancy restaurant for dinner tonight to celebrate our anniversary. I just got done with my shower, since I didn't want to channel CE and go without!! :rotfl2: Probably won't be back until late and most likely won't be checking in here later tonight... :rolleyes1 so I guess I'll talk to you all tomorrow!

Really? I did. :teeth: LY T!
:rolleyes: Yeah and thanks for the wake-up text. :lmao: Andy about flipped out of the bed, it scared him! :rotfl2:

I've actually put my self on a spending diet as well. Got to cut back on the eating out - it's expensive and not very good for the waist line. :sad2: Which is out of control, BTW. :eek:

So I'm stuck on Animal Crossing. Surely there's more to life than fishing and picking apples? :confused3 I think I may go get the stradegy guide from Game Stop. :rolleyes1

HI everyone..

T - see you were able to make you ressies:yay: I wish we could change our dates:sad2:

LL - I deid see that about Travolta's son. Such a shame. Here is a link if anyone is interested http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b77259_john_travoltas_son_jett_dead_16.html?sid=rss_topstories&utm_source=eonline&utm_medium=rssfeeds&utm_campaign=rss_topstories

LL - No trips at all this year planned:confused3

Hi everyone else! Getting ready to play DIsney Scene It so I will check back later. Jimmy is addicted to this game!:thumbsup2

Surely there's more to life than fishing and picking apples?

Well, there's goats! :lmao:

How is everyone? I've got a scratchy throat and a nutty puppy........and we are puppy sitting ANOTHER lab starting tomorrow for a week! (she's a girls and Bear LOVES her.:rolleyes: ). Daran's cousin is going for surgery so we are keeping Gracie. Hope I have a house left........last night Bear pulled off the skirt from the love seat. :headache:
Daran sewed it back on.......then took off the high stuff off the tree.......then fixed the dishwasher rinse aid thingie........this is his last day off, unfortunately! :lmao:

The dates for our trip is Feb 13 - 21. Is anyone else going to be there at this time? I will also be back when and if dd gets in the Career Starts program. Here is what I will use for the family shirts. Thanks Jo. It is much clearer in the program I used to make it. I am not sure what happens when I put it in photobucket :confused3

familyT09.jpg

I will try later to get a bigger better copy of it on here.

Kat_ We do the exact same thing Jodi does. I start each month with a set amount for the household budget and take away as the month goes along. When I'm out of money, I'm out of money. There is no taking it from savings or other "piles." PM me if you need help, or just want to talk...it's stressful, but looking at what you spend each month is the only place to start. Good luck! :goodvibes

Hmmmmmm...maybe schools will be cancelled for the next day?:idea: I just want some more time with my kiddos before the head back. :laughing:

LOL, I can't wait to get rid of mine. But I understand why you think that. :hug:

I'm finding this so gross at the moment though...why is it that even though my ex is in a relationship (he cheated on me with this girl and has been engaged to her for the last 9 months) and spent the last week with her he still hits me up for se*? :sad2: That is just so GROSS!!!! :sick:

Eeewwww. Dumbbutt.

Awww, poor Buzz and Woody!:hug:

Thanks, they are tired, plus being sad... We had a nice enough afternoon.
Last night we played Disney Scene-It. Great game that Santa bought for Mommy and Jimmy! Jimmy beat me and Jim, twice. I don't kow if I should feel like an idiot getting beat by a 5 year old, or extremely proud that he can answer all the Disney questions!

We got it, but haven't played yet. I'm kind of excited.

We will probably go to the bar!

WOOHOO!!!!

Hi CE! Hope you get your house back to normal and enjoy family time.

Thanks, my house isn't back, but... We had a good afternoon and D's making chili.

I had to break it to Gus that pretty much the only time he can do anything at the gym is IF it's "family time" (which is only 12-4 pm during the week and then 6-9 on Tues/Fri) and IF I'm with him!!! AND only the pool or the basketball court. It's only till he turns 12 (in sept) but it really bummed him out.

Now, that's too bad. At 7, we can't use the daycare anymore. If we go from 4-7 in the afternoon, or weekend mornings, we can use the "JAR" - Junior Activities Room - instead of the daycare.

And if we're there and it's not open, they can be in the club on their own, just so long as I am there, too. They have to pass a swim test to be in the pool area alone, but I am sure they will. We just have until April. Of course, I usually go without them, or for their own activities, which of course means they don't need something else to do!

Lucky you! Mine can turn the TV on and its normally on their channels but I wouldn't trust them not getting into anything. Linds likes to think she's independent and while I let her do most things I usually have a mess to clean up. :rolleyes:

Oh, no! Our kids have had a rule for at least a year now - weekends, they get up, can turn on the TV (and oh, yes, they know how) or be on the computer, as long as they are QUICK and QUIET and let us sleep. Then they get a nice breakfast when we wake up (usually around 9:00.) I'm not concerned about them finding something inappropriate because they don't know that they could, if you KWIM. They go to Nick or Disney, on TV or on the computer, and we're all good.

Here's the recipe for those of you who wanted it:

Thanks, darlin'!

No reason it's just I thought you'd gone and your Mom was secretly DISing whilst you were out :rotfl2:

I wouldn't put it past her. She's the sweetest person, but she is nosy. ;)

Now I have to work on the ADR's. I'm not happy with my current list - I need to add some pizzaz! Is that how you spell that?? :confused3

Congrats! You enjoyed Jiko last year, no? :rolleyes1

Ok off to workout, shower and off to work. It's gonna be a long weekend, I can feel it. :sad2:

Good girl - I hope it's a nice day.

Did you guys see that John Travolta's son died today? How sad...:sad2:

Aw, I found it after you posted. Sad.

Hey! I ALWAYS shower before a fancy dinner... :rotfl:

Have so much fun!

How is everyone? I've got a scratchy throat and a nutty puppy........and we are puppy sitting ANOTHER lab starting tomorrow for a week! (she's a girls and Bear LOVES her.:rolleyes: ). Really, Bear is still acting up? I'm sorry. I'm watching Dog Whisperer right now - call him, and we'll watch you on TV!! :goodvibes

**************************************************
Well, we went swimming. No tennis courts open, and the b-ball court was full. It was super-chlorinated today though :headache: and D had to full out shower the boys (which isn't a bad thing, just took time) there. I REEK of chlorine, so I may even wind up with two showers today. :rotfl2:

D is making chili. The boys are calmer, but Woody was certainly on a hairpin trigger today - any little thing was a HUGE tragedy. Buzz is just being very quiet. So...

I think we'll pop a movie in. We didn't get pizza because we'd done it Friday and Sunday last week. I am tired and just want more wine. :rotfl:

I may be back, if D, now that we are alone, goes to sleep on the couch as usual. ;) See you later!

Hi guys,

T - congrats on the ressie

V - you too

LL - I heard about JT's son earlier, so sad, apparently he had a siezure and hit his head on the tub.

My apologies for getting on the soapbox, but on the the Dog Whisperer, well he is an idiot, and most in the animal community do not respect his tactics, too rough on the dog. Most experts agree that positive re-enforcment is the way to go, that's what I have done with my boys who are the most loving sweet natured boys. (and that was an unbiased opinion)

As for budgeting - the best thing I do for myself is divide my paycheck up, I max out on the 401k, then divide the rest between savings and checking, only go to savings for predefined amounts (vacation, Jet tickets, etc)
Another thing as a homeowner I pay my mortgage biweekly, it comes right out of my checking and it takes 7.5 years off a 30 year mortgage.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SO I really need to go back to work, too much online spending yesterday and today I was only taking Murph and she bought nothing, I ended up with bags from Chicos and Talbots, though the deals were great. Gotta spend it to save it right? I did get a great meal from Legal Seafood though, man I love that place.
I am now on a food diet and shopping diet, although I am in the Mutherland in 5 weeks and well we all know what happens to me there...
Oh I forgot to share my ADR's for next month...
Plaza - I'm still thinking about the dinner I couldn't eat because I had to eat Kelly's mac n cheese, I was so cheated
Cape May dinner - I haven't done this in years and I do love seafood
Coral Reef lunch
Brown Derby lunch - still on fence about this one.
Angela anything look good to you, what days are you around that week?
