D floated the idea of afternoon skiing, but the boys don't want to go. It's still only about 16 out right now. Woody wants to sled, Buzz wants to swim. I want to stay here and reclaim my house, but might have to go along with whatever they do.
16! I've got chills just thinking about it. It is raining here. I made the kids take a nap. Maybe I can get some sanity now.
I've never been snow skiing. My sis used to live in WV and my other sisters and I went to visit her to go skiing and it ended up raining and the snow was too slushy.
Anyway - I'm at work so I've got to get going, but I'll chat at ya's later!!

How are the moving plans going?

Good Afternoon Fockers! I can't believe its 1:30 already!

Wed & Thursday show scattered showers on the 10 day, but I don't know if we're getting anything too bad. :confused3 The ice stuff that my parents were concerned about was the Ohio/Indiana/IL area on Sunday.

That's right. We're supposed to get a snow/ice storm. I saw tht on The Weather Channel this morning but couldn't remember if it was on Sunday or Monday. Hmmmmmm...maybe schools will be cancelled for the next day?:idea: I just want some more time with my kiddos before the head back. :laughing:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So the ex dropped the kids off this morning!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: I am so happy to have them home! We've been busy playing with their new toys and finding places for them in the toyroom. I have 2 big mounds of their laundry to do but will put it off until later tonight. I just want to soak up my time with them!
I'm finding this so gross at the moment though...why is it that even though my ex is in a relationship (he cheated on me with this girl and has been engaged to her for the last 9 months) and spent the last week with her he still hits me up for se*? :sad2: That is just so GROSS!!!! :sick:
Tonight we are having a Thai chicken pizza for dinner. The recipe is in a Rachel Ray cookbook. It's so yummy. Gus grows the bean sprouts in a little garden kit he got about a year ago, and they come out so perfect! Have you ever noticed that it's almost impossible to buy FRESH ones?? They must rot in like a day! Well, Gus has figured it out! It takes about 5 days to sprout your own bean sprouts! So, I make this pizza to use them on top. Let me know if anyone wants the recipe. It's so good!
That sounds yummy. What book is it from or did you get it from the show?
Morning Fockers! :wave:
I'm one happy camper - started my day with a phone call to DVC... and got AKV Kidani Village for Aug. on the first try! :cool1: Me and Leo are sharing a 1 bedroom so I can cook most meals in-room and have plenty of space to get away from one another as needed, lol!
Sounds like it is going to be a great trip.
Here is my vent.......
I called them at 4:30 to get a status and they told me that they were still doing diagnostics (I'm thinking they hadn't even looked at it yet) and don't know what's wrong with it.
I use to work in a body shop and that is shop talk for we haven't even looked at your car yet.:thumbsup2
Well, my parents and grandma have left. The boys had a horrible sad meltdown. My friend is now no longer coming over, as one of her girls has a fever. So now I'm home with no plans and two bored and sad six year olds. :scared1: :rotfl:
Oh sad kids are not fun. Hope the day gets better. Sorry your friend isn't coming over. :hug:
Just woke up. Today is the day I'm going to try to stand for a while in the laundry room and do some laundry. I am hoping I don't get too winded. I also plan on NOT sleeping today, in hopes that I can actually sleep tonight at a normal hour of rest.
My house looks like someone dumped it upside down. I guess I deserve that for being in bed for 7 days. It may take me a month to clean. oh well.
Take it easy.
I think I just vomited a little bit. :eek:
********************************
We are having another slow day here. I got some highlights put in my hair this morning and ds got a hair trim. He wants to grow it out long so I am just keeping it trimmed for now. If he doesn't snap out of this faze soon I will just hold him down and shave it all off :scared1:
Hope everyone has a good day. I am going to work on my family t shirt design for a little bit.
Jo - I need to know if I can use one or two of the picks you took of the pirate themed rooms in my design. We are staying there and thanks to you and your kind report I know what the rooms will look like. :thumbsup2 Thanks and please let me use the pics.
I so need this for my avatar!
Feel free to pilfer~!
Awwww...what a cutie! So I'm guessing you were able to get his school situation (and I think he was on meds?) all straightened out?
Thank Lori. Yep, he's doing great!:thumbsup2
You weren't the only one who poked me tonight. But, at least the others sent me a drink first.
:eek: :lmao:
Speaking of which, there's really no new news. She's settled into a room in the Neuro area of the hospital. When DH and FIL left her, she was ordering dinner. She had various CT scans today, but the doctor hadn't stopped by to discuss his findings yet. So, we might know a little bit more tomorrow. For now, they're managing her pain, which is a good thing.
Any update Jodi!?
I'm not missing, Mel. :goodvibes My computer and whole school room are taken apart because we painted today.
I'm on K's lap top, but I'm not very good with it. My room should be back together by lunch tomorrow. K's cleaning the carpets up there now and I have to go help, so g'night!
Pictures:confused3
We have Dish Network - I don't get WGN...bummer..
Oh well!
Darn you all and that Facebook...I was messing around with that thing all night last night! It's like crack!!
Hmmm...I suppose I could go over there now...Just for a minute...
I warned you:rolleyes:
Morning, Everyone!
Guess what??? I just got up! That's right... my girls let me sleep until after 9am! How cool is that?
Now it's time for coffee.....
Lucky you...Jimmy has discovered that it is good thing to sleep past 7:00 yet:sad2:
Well, I SHOWERED
Finally:rolleyes1
Morning Fockers!
I'm one happy camper - started my day with a phone call to DVC... and got AKV Kidani Village for Aug. on the first try! :cool1: Me and Leo are sharing a 1 bedroom so I can cook most meals in-room and have plenty of space to get away from one another as needed, lol!
:yay: :yay:
Sarabeth definitely has some kind of a bug... GREAT:headache: We needed to get back to studying for the School Spelling Bee. She was chosen along with a few other 5th graders to try and be the school Champion. I do not expect her to win it. Hopeful Yes... Just do not want her to go down in the first round.
Those words are something else...:scared1:
Hope she feels better!
Call me a slacker, but I finally got around to taking pics of my Secret Santa and ornament exchange gifts.
Both we awesome! Boy all the Fockers have good taste ::yes::
Here is my vent.......
I've had my car since Sept and the radio went out right before Xmas. I drove to SC and back with no radio. It was torture. Anyway, I took the car in to the dealership and they had it the entire day. I called them at 4:30 to get a status and they told me that they were still doing diagnostics (I'm thinking they hadn't even looked at it yet) and don't know what's wrong with it. They called me back and said they are going to order a new radio.
Here I am back at the dealership. I was told it would take an hour when I made the appt. When I got here, they said just over an hour. After sitting 1 hour and 10 minutes, they came to talk to me and told me they can not find the radio they ordered. After searching they found it. It was with Parts!!! Guess where parts is? It's connected to the bay where they fix the cars. As in, I parked my car in the bay and it is the first door on the right - next to the waiting area. These people are brilliant.
What a pain:headache: . Are you still there?
Well, my parents and grandma have left. The boys had a horrible sad meltdown. My friend is now no longer coming over, as one of her girls has a fever. So now I'm home with no plans and two bored and sad six year olds. :scared1:
Awww, poor Buzz and Woody!:hug:
Just woke up. Today is the day I'm going to try to stand for a while in the laundry room and do some laundry. I am hoping I don't get too winded. I also plan on NOT sleeping today, in hopes that I can actually sleep tonight at a normal hour of rest.
Try not to do too much Jen, you don't want to get sick again!:hug:
Good Morning Fockers!!
Well Member Services has been busy for the last 30 minutes. Guess I should have gotten up at 6 am.....
Ya think:rolleyes1
So...I did the only thing any self-respecting rotten child would do...
I booked her a flight outta here at 7:15 tomorrow morning!!!
:rotfl2:
So the ex dropped the kids off this morning!!!
WAHOO:woohoo:
I'm finding this so gross at the moment though...why is it that even though my ex is in a relationship (he cheated on me with this girl and has been engaged to her for the last 9 months) and spent the last week with her he still hits me up for se*? That is just so GROSS!!!! :sick:
Because he's an idiot??? (I was going to say something worse, but I don't want to wind up with Jen2)
Hi Jen2 :wave: Miss ya!:hug:
========================================================
Good afternoon! Jimmy got us up at 7:00am I have been food shopping (getting ready for Monday ladies and Mr. T:goodvibes ), have my second load of laundry in the washer, and Jim took down the ouside decorations. OUr house is officially de-christmasfied until bext year! Jim just went to get a haircut and I'm here. Jimmy is watching Little Billand doing a puzzle.
Last night we played Disney Scene-It. Great game that Santa bought for Mommy and Jimmy! Jimmy beat me and Jim, twice. I don't kow if I should feel like an idiot getting beat by a 5 year old, or extremely proud that he can answer all the Disney questions!
Tomorrow we have that wedding. THe mass is at 2:00pm and then reception is at 5pm. We will take Jimmy to his friends house for the sleepover on our way to church, but then will have about 2 hours to kill in between. We will probably go to the bar!
Hi all! I'm back on-line now. Don't worry Janet, in true DIS style, I took pics from before, during and after! :lmao:
My friend's on her way over to drop her DD for a sleepover with B. I'm going to hit her up with a little help on how to make my valances. I dont' sew, so hopefully we can get them done together. :thumbsup2
Be back laters.
But, we can probably start getting back to a little normal, for a whole week before we leave for the birthday party.
Hi CE! Hope you get your house back to normal and enjoy family time.
Good Morning Fockers!! :goodvibes
Well Member Services has been busy for the last 30 minutes. Guess I should have gotten up at 6 am..... :rolleyes1:
Did you get it all set? I called them and it said, "All circuits are busy" HOLY COW!
Boy oh boy I don't miss those NH winters! I often wonder how I survived them all those years!
Awwww...I remember when we had to teach Jo to multiquote and now she's on the Mom's Panel and teaching us how to use Facebook...:cloud9: Our little girl is all grown up!!
Anyway - I'm at work so I've got to get going, but I'll chat at ya's later!!
Yep, New England winters are COLD. However, I will say that I think they are better than Michigan winters. At least the sun comes out occaisonally in NE....
The gym was sort of a bust. Got both kids dressed and ready. Packed up swimsuits and whatnot, dropped off SD's friend at home on our way out. We arrived at the gym at 11:15 am. Apparently, I should have read the pamphlet closer because they informed us at the counter when we arrived that Gus would have to go to childcare (OMG!!!! He was PO'd!!!) because he isn't 12 yet. Then he could swim with me, but not until 12! SD is old enough to do whatever he wants so he was gonna hang with me. So, I put poor Gus in childcare with my Ipod (I felt so bad leaving him there!) and then SD and I walked the track for 20 mins. I did 5 mins on the treadmill too and then we sprung Gus. Poor Gus!
We changed up and swam for about 45 mins. I bought them lunch at the gym cafe. That was actually pretty good. Healthy too!
I had to break it to Gus that pretty much the only time he can do anything at the gym is IF it's "family time" (which is only 12-4 pm during the week and then 6-9 on Tues/Fri) and IF I'm with him!!! AND only the pool or the basketball court. It's only till he turns 12 (in sept) but it really bummed him out.
So, therefore, I was bummed.
Got a few groceries on the way home and now we're all showered. Hope you guys are having a better day.
OH, I did actually book my ADR's while I was waiting at the gym for the pool to open. YAY!!
Oh, and I'll post that recipe soon...
I sooooooo need to get my hair colored or highlights put in. I got it cut the other day but now need something to give it a little more ooomph!
And I hear ya on DS and hair! Mine was wanting to let his grow out but I had had enough and took him in for a trim before he left to go with his father. I knew if I left it up to his dad that he would come back with a buzz cut or a high and tight. Its way too cold here for either of those styles and my DS refuses to wear hats. :rolleyes:
Any update Jodi!?
Not really. The doctor stopped by last night and they're trying to figure out a diagnosis. It really stinks that they can't do an MRI because of the metal clips in her head. It seems that an MRI would be an easy way to be sure that there are no fractures. So, they're trying to figure out how to proceed.
You hit the nail on the head there! It's not like this is the first time either. I basically say Good Luck to her because she will definately need it!
WTG on the de-Christmasing! We are in the process of doing that today as well. Well my dad is doing the outside. LOL I'm sure the inside will be done tomorrow. We'll be putting up the Valentine's Day stuff next though.
WTG Jimmy on the Scene-It game! I've never played any of them but they do look like fun!
BTW, we're here watching Little Bill too. :laughing:
The game was alot of fun. We had never played before but Jim said it was Disney..he had to get it for me:lovestruc
Jimmy loves Little Biil and all the other shows on that channel. Right now it's Pinky Dinky Doo then Little Bear. He likes them all!
Oh man...that stinks about Gus! At my kids age I wouldn't feel bad but at his age I can totally understand!
Yeah, he was NOT thrilled to be in Childcare with 68 (YES! 68!) little kids!
Here's the recipe for those of you who wanted it:
Thai Chicken Pizza
From the Rachel Ray Express Lane Meals Cookbook
2-4 servings
(I've adapted a bit, I will note in RED what I've changed)
1 pizza shell (boboli)
1/2 Cup duck or plum sauce (we use plum, duck has apricots and we have allergies)
1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 10oz bag of shredded mozerella or provolone cheese
1/2 red bell pepper, cored, seeded and thinly sliced --I leave this out, they hate peppers!
2 tbsp. tamari (this is just soy sauce, FWIW)
1 tbsp. veg. oil
1 rounded tbsp. peanut butter, smooth
2 tsp. hot sauce
2 tsp. grill seasoning, such as McCormick's montreal steak seasoning.
4 chicken breast cutlets, 1/2 lb. total
2 tbsp. honey (i skip this)
2 tbsp. cider vinegar (I skip this too, as they didn't care for it last time)
1/4 seedless cuke, peeled cut into matchsticks
4 scallons, green and white parts chopped
1 Cup bean sprouts
palmful of cilantro leaves, chopped
1/4 Cup chopped roasted peanuts (done it with and without...eh)
**********
1.Preheat oven to 425. Top shell with sauce, spreading it like you would for reg. pizza sauce. Top with red pepper flakes (if you want it hot) and then cheese and bell peppers. Bake until golden and bubbly.
2. In a small bowl, combine veg. oil, p.b., soy, hot sauce and grill seasoning. Use a microwave to loosen up pb if it's too stiff to combine into sauce. Coat chicken evenly with sauce, and let sit for 10 mins. Preheat grill or grill pan and spray with non-stick coating spray. Cook 2-3 mins per side, till firm. Cut into thin strips!
3. While the chicken is cooking, mix the honey and vinegar in a bowl. Add the cuke and mix to coat in dressing. I skip this part. I did it the first time and the kids weren't wild about it. It's still good without.
4. When the pizza comes out of the oven, top it with the chicken (cooked, cut in strips) scallions, sprouts, and cilantro. Drain the cukes and scatter them over the top. Garnish with peanuts. In lieu of the cukes, I like to add shredded carrots to the top.
ENJOY!
::yes:: I just posted why... ;)
No reason it's just I thought you'd gone and your Mom was secretly DISing whilst you were out :rotfl2:
Thank YOU Jo! I understand... but now I know that I haven't been doing any of it right. So are all of those "gifts" lost now?
If you accepted them they should be around somewhere, you just need to find them :rotfl2:
I booked her a flight outta here at 7:15 tomorrow morning!!!:woohoo: .
:rotfl2:
The word was linoleum...Chris spelled it wrong and I guessed at it and got it right!! Either way I was the winner!!:yay: .
You sure were :thumbsup2
Awwww...I remember when we had to teach Jo to multiquote and now she's on the Mom's Panel and teaching us how to use Facebook...:cloud9: Our little girl is all grown up!!
Hey Jo - speaking of mom's panel...I just gave someone your name and the website addy to check out...they're going in February...just booked a KILLER deal at Beach Club...I'm so jealous.
I'm not on there properly till Monday, you know as much as me though LL she can ask you :thumbsup2
he still hits me up for se*? :sad2: That is just so GROSS!!!! :sick:
What?!?!?!?? So pleased you've got the kids home though!
Jo - I need to know if I can use one or two of the picks you took of the pirate themed rooms in my design. We are staying there and thanks to you and your kind report I know what the rooms will look like. :thumbsup2 Thanks and please let me use the pics.
Only if you post on my TR :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
The latter and have fun at the wedding :goodvibes
Oh I used to love Little Bill, the girls are too old for it now but they've stopped playing it too :sad2:
Jen2 :wave2:
Hi Jo. THere's a show called Make Way for Noddy that Jimmy likes. IT's a Brit show. DId your girls watch that or is that a newer show?
They were a bit too old for it when it was released but the original Noddy is from my childhood, good old Big Ears :rotfl2:
Mel- Poor Gus! :guilty: That means my baby is older than him. She'll be 12 in May. I wonder if we can do an arranged marriage? :rolleyes1
I just booked a for a 3 night stay at South Padre Island in August. :banana:
Hi Silent Jen!!! :cheer2:
So I don't have to break out a 2-year calendar, what are your dates? 9/27/10?
nothing concrete yet...just hoping to go in October sometime, during food & winer hopefully!
Tonight we are having a Thai chicken pizza for dinner. The recipe is in a Rachel Ray cookbook. It's so yummy.
I ahve made a version of this pizza before-- YUM! Sorry about the gym, poor Gus!
I'm one happy camper - started my day with a phone call to DVC... and got AKV Kidani Village for Aug. on the first try! :cool1: Me and Leo are sharing a 1 bedroom so I can cook most meals in-room and have plenty of space to get away from one another as needed, lol!
OK u guys are making me wanna run to WDW for a weekend in August.....
Are we revealing Secret Santas now? Because I'm sure you guys have already guessed that my NYC Secret Santa was Kat! Thanks Kat! My girls absolutely love the compact mirror! And we all love Minnie!
And by the way, do all of you notice the amount of LIME GREEN that came into my house this December????
I'm so glad you liked everything! I tried to do as much lime green as I could LOL.
I dont' sew, so hopefully we can get them done together. :thumbsup2
You don't sew? You are one of the most creative people we know! I'm surprised! I am a stinky sew-er but I try.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I can not believe it's 4pm and we have accomplished NADA except for having coffee and watching 3 episodes of Supernatural! It was KCs first day to sleep in over a week so he slept like a mad man!
It's pretty carpy out there today but we have a few outside errands to do and I made a list of a few projects that need to be done today.
So do any of you write out a household budget?
We are starting one for this year so I can see what we actually spend on stuff and to put a good size dent into our credit card debt that seems to never end lol. In truth we don't owe too much but I wanna knock it back a bunch before we start saving for the next WDW trip. I want to have the $ for it first before we go, not spend then add to the credit card when we can(it's why we have debt now, thanks a lot mickey!)
Anywho I need to get off this pc and get moving! I'll be back around later today...I may even update my TR! :scared1:
