Polynesian Island tower review.

I had similar issues when I stayed there. Why can't they put some drink machines in the large and under utilized lobby area? By the time you go over to the GCH to fill your mug and walk back in the 90 degree plus temps and no shade, you have already finished your drink.

That is my issue with VGF and even BPK. I used to get a refill mug every trip, but nowadays only when I stay at Riviera. Otherwise I get a 12-pack of sodies delivered from Target (or if I'm driving, I pick up a 12-pack on the way in).

On yesterday's DVC show, they were talking about the rooms at PIT already being banged-up. It's the first I've heard of that; can anyone direct me to reviews/pictures of people saying that?
The furniture and finishes seemed to be in pretty good shape when I stayed there this past winter, granted they were only open 4 months when we visited. With that being said, we did see some wearing and pilling with the “sustainable” rugs in the 2bdr lockoff. While great in theory for Disney’s global sustainability effort, these don’t have a shot at lasting 7 years.

New resorts aren't being built like they used to be built. I fully expect LL to be the same low quality furnishings they put in VDH and PIT.

Heard that too. I generally like the hosts but find that they scrutinize things to a much higher degree compared to the more average Disney traveller. Unless they have stayed in multiple rooms, even if they are banged up, that would be more of an issue with guests than the property itself.
I feel like they usually give decent advice, but when I heard them waxing poetic about Old Key West and Saratoga Springs (the two resorts which are the last to get filled) I felt like I was taking crazy pills.

Nowadays it feels like everything falls apart quickly. In general it seems a lot more sustainable to build things that last 🤷‍♂️

Agree with others in the thread — I was surprised to hear of wear and tear issues at PIT. Can’t say I’ve read that too much here.
