Team Focker Watch: Lucky Number 13!

Congrats on the job Janet! A 20% discount at Macy's would be dangerous for me! :laughing:

Luckily I don't do ALOT of shopping at Macy's so I should be fairly safe:thumbsup2

So I am going to Disney World! The family decided last night that we are going to use the 30% off pin code and go for two weeks in May. So excited!

The brothers too??? Does this mean a TR?popcorn::

I can not for the life of me find a brachial pulse. :headache:

I would help, but I have no cluse what that is:rotfl:

I don't have time to leave wrapping and shopping til the last minute so I shop all year for stocking stuffers and start serious shopping once scholl starts up in September !!Only this year I am waaaay behind!!All I have for Kyle is clothes !!!:scared1: The same for the girls but they want clothes !!!!:rotfl2:
You are good!!!

I'm a cashier supervisor, i dunno the actual title (lol) but I will be over seeing a bunch of cashiers & in charge of counting the registers in and out, making change, and getting everyone on breaks too. I'm actually really excited about it and the proximity to the house RULES! I can literally walk home for lunch.
Fantastic, what type of shop is it? Glad you had fun with your niece!

last week I messed up and paid my mortgage twice (online)--and I finally got them to credit one payment back....BUT they didn't credit my checking account back. :eek: So that was worth most of my morning and not done yet....
Yikes, hope you get everything sorted out!

I got the job:cool1: I have training (8 hours) on Thursday.
Woohoooo what kind of hours? Make sure you look after yourself though!

On the sad note though --- Jo I may not be able to meet you:sad2: It will al depend on the work schedule. Will let you know for sure though.
I thought it might, I was really struggling with the Saturday anyway, Sunday is better but that's probably just as bad for you now!

I'm procrastinating on school work right, have a three hour break between classes and don't feel like doing anything. Had nursing lab this morning and I can not for the life of me find a brachial pulse. :headache:
Are you OK? Procrastinating positively or negatively????

Had the golf ladies AGM today and got a big round of applause for making the final a while back :blush: We were then meant to play a friendly 9-hole comp but it rained so I came home instead :rotfl2: I have another match tomorrow so fingers crossed it stays dry!

Woohoooo what kind of hours? Make sure you look after yourself though!

I can basically make up my own schedule:thumbsup2 I home hoping for 25 hours a week. We'll see

I thought it might, I was really struggling with the Saturday anyway, Sunday is better but that's probably just as bad for you now!

WE'll see. I will only be working one weekend day, so if it is SAturday I may be able to do Sunday. I will let you know:thumbsup2

Jo, you just don't play enough golf:lmao:

That will save a ton of money, not having to buy lunch. If I forget my lunch I notice a huge difference in the weekly budget:sad2:

Adorable:goodvibes Nice mom:rolleyes1

Can you split with me if you win CHristmas this year?:confused3

That is just not right. WHere is the fun of the crowds, the music, the crowds, the crowd, the crowds.....:rotfl:

:wave2:

Yikes:eek: You mean the credit card company didn't pick it up quicker than that. One time Jim paid for a vet bill and the went and put gas in his car and the credit card compnay had him on the phone before he even finished putting the gas in the car:confused3

Online shopping is always available;)

Have fun. And I would if I could:goodvibes

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I got the job:cool1: I have training (8 hours) on Thursday. We are off for veterans day, so I decided to get it done in one shot instead of in 2 4 hour blocks. THen Saturday I have a 4 hour orientation. I will be working anywhere from 20 to 30 hours a week and I can add shifts online if I want. They only open at an awful hour on Black Friday, which I won't work becasue I told them that I was not available on Friday's due to Cub Scouts.

And I get a 20% employee discount (even on sale AND Black Friday prices):yay::yay: Guess where everyone is getting their gifts from this year:rotfl2:

Hopefully it might turn into perm. p/t after January. If not, oh well....

So, I am going to call Target today and cancel that interview.

On the sad note though --- Jo I may not be able to meet you:sad2: It will al depend on the work schedule. Will let you know for sure though.

Not much on the schedule today. I do have to call the eye doctor to cancel an appointment for SAturday, that they keep calling to remind me about...even though I have cancelled it twice alread:confused3 ANd I found a couple of Pokemon things on Amazon that I want to order for Jimmy for Christmas. The one thing I noticed, is that other that DVD's, you don't find much Pokemon stuff in the stores:confused3

We also ordered the Wii for in-store pick up. Just waiting for the final email letting us know that everything we ordered is in, and I will go pick that up.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday:goodvibes:hug:

Congrats on the job! And the Wii! I was panicking this week when I thought my Wii was broke---it would not power up so I unplugged everything on it and replugged everything back up and it's fine---maybe something with the surge protector since we had some storms.:confused3 I really like it and I want to buy the Dance one since Slate said she had lost a lot of weight with it. The girls want that one too. We play the sports resort a lot.

Citibank caught my credit card on Sunday morning---but the people in India *#&$^%* were not much help as they were confused as to why we did not have the credit card account number ....well...duh...perhaps because someone TOOK it and is on a wild spending spree with it......so they just canceled our Hilton card instead. :confused3
We had to wait until Monday when we could talk to someone in Nevada to get it fixed (and the person was still trying to charge at that time too).

....and I have a cold too....

....but I'm going on a cruise in 19 days....

...but it's a Carnival cruise and there's one adrift right now....

....but they're airlifting crabmeat and crossaints to them!:laughing:

Are you OK? Procrastinating positively or negatively????

:laughing: Yeah, I'm okay, I was just being lazy and didn't feel like reading a textbook about the History of Nursing, YAWN! I guarantee if I know all about Florence Nightingale I'm good for that section of the exam.

That will save a ton of money, not having to buy lunch. If I forget my lunch I notice a huge difference in the weekly budget:sad2:

Adorable:goodvibes Nice mom:rolleyes1

I got the job:cool1:

CONGRATS!!!! Thee is god job mojo for us fockers this week!

Yep not having to travel into the city and not having to buy lunch out will save me a ton of money!

So I am going to Disney World! The family decided last night that we are going to use the 30% off pin code and go for two weeks in May. So excited!

Awesome!!! You MUST do a TR!

Fantastic, what type of shop is it? Glad you had fun with your niece!

It's a discount price department store. there are all brand names things for already discounted prices. There are a million departments, let's hope I don't end up in the purse section?! LOL.

Really the only thing I wanna buy is a Keurig (So excited we carry them) and Xmas gifts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man was today LONG. I had to go to get a new social security card, cant find mine, but i took the wrong train and ended 20 minute detouring myself. I haven't gotten on the wrong train in years.
I was in and out within an hour tho so thats a plus. I also got a slice of Junior's famous chocolate mousse cheesecake for my troubles. Then I had to pick up some black pants for work and came home and slept. I am still trying to kick this head cold but work must go on...or something. I'm excited actually. I start tomorrow at 1:45pm so at least i can try sleeping off the sick.
Now I am waiting for KC to come home and bring some dinner. We decided not to go to the comedy show, and KC ended up working lat anyway.
I missed the Times Square Disney Store opening, apparently it was neat, oh well. I really need a Disney fix too.
Evening all !!Had a busy but productive day !!Managed to knock out 2 annual case reviews including all the money stuff !!! I have to predict how much they will spend on various catergories !!1Yeah right Rosie's Crystal Ball gets a work out !!!I'm getting pretty good at fabricating imaginary numbers:rotfl2:
Still have the monthly financials to do!!!
Kat the new job sounds awesome !!! I love working close to home .. I also could walk to work !!My old Boss was trying to get me to switch houses so I could be with her again !! I told her Luv ya but Noooooooo!!!!We'll stick to our Free Trips together !!!
WE'll see. I will only be working one weekend day, so if it is SAturday I may be able to do Sunday. I will let you know:thumbsup2
OMG I've won 2 more prizes today a food hamper worth $80 and a designer handbag (purse) worth about $400 :eek: I can't find a photo of it so hope I like it otherwise I'll have to learn how to ebay :rotfl2:
Today was glorious but cold, I had a match and we went 4 up after 5 holes (that means we won 4 of the 5 holes) they then fought back and we went back to level but thank goodness we won the last 2 holes to win :woohoo:
Tomorrow I'm waiting in as I missed a parcel today and it could be my camera :thumbsup2
OMG I'm on a roll, I've just had an email to say I've won a Chicago Town pizza party pack, not sure what's in it but.... :yay:
Sorry to bore you all with my wins but I can't help it :rotfl:
Jo - You keep winning all this stuff and you won't have to buy Christmas gifts this year:rotfl2:
Kat - Good Luck today.
Hey all, quick fly by. Crazy busy at work, since we are closed tomorrow for Veteran's Day. I have my training at Macy's tomorrow and then I have a ton of laundry to do:laundy: One of the things with this PT job is that I have to wear Black, and I only have one or 2 black tops. I am stoppingat Kohls on the way home to see if I can pick up a couple of more/ Probably won't be able to check in until late tomorrow night, so I hope you all have a great evening and day tomorrow.:flower3:
I have to wear black too. I will eventually get a company shirt but I still need black pants so I just went online and bought like 4 pairs of pants.
The new panel has been announced and there is a new Brit on it, I was asked back part time about a month ago but turned it down :goodvibes
Well my parcel has turned up and ummmm unless my camera has turned into a candle it seems I've won another prize :rotfl2: Hope my camera comes soon though!!!!
Today is miserable, really windy and raining, I need to go to the supermarket and clean the house other than that I'm staying warm and cosy :thumbsup2
Hi All! :wave:
I've been reading along, but everytime I try to post, I get interrupted. :headache:
Anyway, Waldo's doing much better. It's taking him a bit longer as he has zero appetite, so he's not getting enough nutrition, thus slowing his process. He's lost 20 pounds in 2.5 weeks! :faint: He was released from his surgeon, which is good. He's still under the care of the cardiologist, which I figure he will be forever.
Other than that, I've just been busy with Scouts - both girl and boy. Ugh. Evan signed up for baseball, so I'm going to guess my schedule will be even crazier come the spring.
Hope everyone is having a great week! :hippie:
HI all! I had training today. 7.5 hours in front of a computer and can I just say a monkey can do this job. It was registers for dummies and they wouldn't let you skip over stuff :faint: I have a headache now.
Stopped at Best Buy and picked up the Wii, and then the grocery store to gett all the stuff for the boys to work on the cooking and eting achievement. We are making spaghetti :scared:
GOt a call from my brother. Dad is in the hospital Fluid around the heart:sad2: My broither talked to him though and he said he sounded good and in good spirits. I will give him a call tomorrow. Good thoughts please:goodvibes
Back to work and school for us all tomorrow and then a busy weekend.
Hope you all having a good one. Chat laterpirate:
Yep, the whole family is going. Should be great and since it is a two week it will be very relaxing.
I would help, but I have no cluse what that is:rotfl:
:laughing: It is your pulse point halfway down your arm where your "elbow crease" is, you need it to find blood pressure. I am finally able to find it after lots of practice. :laughing:
Awesome!!! You MUST do a TR!
Perhaps ;)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Second day with my patient tomorrow, I'm nervous! :laughing:

Today in lab we were practicing taking blood pressure. I had 8 different students take my pressure and they all got readings right around 120/80 (normal) with very slight variance, then the teacher took my pressure and it was 150/100! That is VERY high, not good! Now I am freaked out that I have a problem, of course I don't get why everybody else was getting a good pressure on me and the teacher got such a bad one. :confused3 The teacher said not to stress and that I should just check it again in a week or two. Of course, now I am stressed about not stressing and how can I not be stressed with a reading like that and then there is everyday stress on top of that stress! :scared: :laughing:

I'm sure you're fine, the other 8 were great so maybe the teacher was at fault :rotfl2:

Kat how's your job going?

OMG I didn't wake up till 9.20am :eek: Good job I didn't have to go anywhere :rotfl2: David isn't working today either so we're not sure what we'll do!

Okay, that's it - you must teach me how to do this prize-getting thing! Will it work over here?

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Janet, I know EXACTLY what you mean - we're starting a new payroll system in the near future and will be entering our own stuff, instead of having a payroll person do it. I did the online training last week... it was teaching how to click and drag, v e r y s l o w l y. It took a lot of effort not to yell obscenities at my monitor. :headache:

This might make you feel better Lessa - I have major blood pressure reading anxiety. No joke - I take my own with a machine and the first reading is ALWAYS high, because I go in worried that it'll be high, lol! I just re-take it a couple minutes later and apparently the anxiety's gone by then. This morning, my 1st read was 137/79 and my 2nd was 110/75. My Dr. just looooves me. :rolleyes:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning! Had yesterday off and managed to get some school work and some holiday shopping done. Not as much as I'd have liked, but some is better than none, right? Leo's off to Paddock Club for a few hours tomorrow, so I need to get a paper written then.
What else is new... still tweaking the Southwest plan, but I think we're nearly done with it. We're back to making it a road trip, for a variety of reasons. Did I mention my new vehicle? :rotfl: Poor Nancy Sonata just wasn't working out; it's a fantastic car and I'd recommend it to anyone... anyone over 5'3" tall, that is. I was suffering so much neck and back strain because it sits low and I couldn't see the sides, front or back of the exterior. So I managed to swap it for a Tucson without losing too much cheddar in the process. So Tucson Tilly (CE gave the winning name - thx CE!), will be taking us out West. Ironically, Tucson is not on the agenda. :rotfl: What is?
Santa Fe
Taos
Amarillo
Monument Valley
Canyon De Chelly
Grand Canyon
Route 66, including Williams, Winslow and Holbrook, AZ
Petrified Forest/ Painted Desert
Now I just need to save money to pay for it. :rolleyes:
Nothing else going on. Report cards come out today - fingers crossed it's a good one for Leo!
Thanks T:hug:
THanks Lessa:goodvibes
Sounds like an awesome trip. Jim wants to do a cross country road trip one day. I told him I have to save up some vacation time for a couple of years, or we wait until we are retired
Morning all. Talked to dad and he sounds good:confused3 He has to drink a lot of water because of high potassium in his kidneys:confused3 Anyway, they told him part of his problem retaining fluid is that he drinking TOO much water. He has to find that happy medium to solve both problems.
TOnight is the spaghetti dinner for the scouts (They are cooking and serving the parents:scared1:)
Tomorrow I have a 4 hour orientation at Macy's and then I am supposed to go to the casino with my cousin. HOWEVER, that depends on the what lumber says about the leaking toilet today:headache:
The balck friday ads are trickling out and Toys R Us is opening 10pm Thursday Night, so I am trying to develop a plan. So far it looks like this.
10pm - Toys R Us (Cause you know if you don't nothing will be left)
Home to crash for a couple of hours
4am Target and then Best Buy
THen the King of Prussia Mall.
All shopping should be complete by 2:00pm:thumbsup2.
