Checking in. Hello to everyone. I am on the prowl, playing the waiting game for Fall Codes. I guess AP codes are out and I am considering getting an AP, since our next trip (after this one) will most likely be mid Oct. of next year.

Does anyone know if there are Blackout dates for Regular AP holders during anytimes?

Thanks for visiting.. Oh and BTW... I MAY have nearly a "Drive By Posting " day tomorrow as well. I'll try and keep that to a minimum.

O.K.

If you ladies received an invitation for your daughter to enter a Pageant would You let her ??

Sara got an invite for "Miss Pre-Teen" Roanoke Valley. This is a Stepping stone in the Miss America Program and is for ages 10-12.

I am mixed whether I want her to compete. Can not guarantee an invite next year. Girls this age .. at the State Level USUALLY have been doing "Pageants" since they were in diapers.

Sara began doing them 3 years ago. She has not entered many... but has won all of them . SHOULD she win "Roanoke" she very well will get her can kicked all the way back home. BUT ...then again... sometimes the 1st timers take it all.

I can get sponsors.. but I will need to invest in a New Gown.

Pageant is next month.... late next month.

Hi Katt---I met a 10 yo girl that is competing next month--she won Miss Mt Empire and she and mom are really pageant junkies with lots of competitions! The mom said if Miss VA were to win Miss America then she takes her "court" with her on her travels so it's a really big thing. She chose not to compete in cheerleading this year as it would take too much time out of the pageant circle. But they seem to really enjoy it (much like BA and me with cheerleading). BA would (and has) enjoyed it too, but she knows you have to pick and choose activities.
So, anyway, if she has the experience, and you can get the dress, I would say go ahead!

Who can say for sure... This summer they offered us discounts that they supposedly had not done before. If the numbers were doen.. and I think they were... AP's MAY find themselves getting more stuff.

Good morning everyone.:goodvibes

Katt,I agree with Janet.If Sara wants to do the pagaent and ya'll are good with it then go and have a great time.:)

Mel,glad you got some sleep.

WelcomeBack ,Parla.

I have to clean today.:scared: Yesterday I spent much of my day watching Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy.It is one of the best shows I have watched,don't know how I have missed it all these years.I am really NOT good at this stay-at-home mom stuff.I hate to clean and cook.DH worked yesterday and then came home and cooked dinner.I felt guilty but he says he didn't mind.

I am thinking of getting an AP for next May.Can't decide if the room discount would be worth the higher ticket.:surfweb:

So sleepy... I need some of Katt's coffee. *yawn

So, Mel, I'm glad you got some sleep last night. :hug:

Katt- I wouldn't kill you because then you wouldn't keep me company during Fockerfest! ;) :rotfl:

Hi Parla! :cutie:

Janet- How exciting to be so close!!! :wizard: B's loving camp and so far she isn't too tired to deal with at the end of the day. :rolleyes:

Jen- Hi! Good luck with the codes. :thumbsup2

TE!!!! I miss you. :guilty: Stupid work. You barely have time for us anymore. ;)

No, I won't be in FLA that whole time:sad2: I wish. We return from FLA on the 29th, so I will be here after that. I would never desert you like that Sheriff:hug:

Dad Update

They have given him Coumadin (I believe it is a blood thinner---Rachel? TE?) and according to mom he is doing great and they are discharging him today or tomorrow. He has to get 3 or 5 shots of coumadin (I can't remember what my mom said),but the nurse will come to the house to do it. So, it sounds like it is good news and you hopefully will all get to meet him at the Biergarten!:cool1: :cool1:

Dad and Nana are both on Coumadin---you have to have monthly blood checks for the level, and you have to be very careful even with little scratches or cuts or you will bleed a lot (he carries lots of bandaids, etc when he farms). FYI--it's a pretty cheap generic, warfarin.....actually rat poison which dad found interesting. :rolleyes:

whew.gif

Yup it's a Blood thinner. Those scare me. Side effects are NOT GOOD. But being a "Blood thinner" you can understand why.
AND HAS A HUGE LIST of things it should NOT BE TAKEN WITH.

Kind of makes me think of TE's Dad and his RA meds.. they make him Susceptable to things like Pneumonia and potential Spesis.. but to stop taking the meds... puts him in pain... and will also be fatal eventually.. so you pray for the meds to work and you incurr no complications. Right TE ??

:hug: :hug: :hug: to Janet and TE.. and to Dawn and all of you guys with older, and sick parents :hug: :hug: ANd KIDS:hug: :hug: :hug:

And if you were not included above....

Sending you a P.M.

Hi, Tanya! :goodvibes

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, we ended up being at the club from 3:30 to 7:30 - D met us over there after my long lesson and we had dinner. I didn't have to cook, which was a bonus, but it was a long afternoon.
It's finally looking like a nice day today, but of course I have errands. I have to pick up prescriptions and some trip stuff (band-aids, suncreen, etc.) at Target, then the boys desperately need new tennis shoes - we've been in Crocs most of the summer and ALL of the last 3 weeks, so when they put on their shoes for their tennis yesterday it was actually painful. Whoops! :rotfl2:
I need new Teva flips for WDW, too - last year mine were perfect, but that was May - I'd not worn them much before we left. My new ones for this year aren't new anymore, so they've lost some "cush" if you KWIM.
Then I have tennis again late this afternoon.
D has elected to stay home today (rather than go to the office, he's not flying) and I don't know if that's better or worse. :rotfl: The boys HAVE to come to get their shoes, but otherwise I could ditch them with him for the other errands/tennis. It means coordination, though, and sometimes it's easier to just go do my stuff, you know?
Have a great day, all! :grouphug:
Good Morning Fockers! :wave:
Sorry I haven't been around - I do read the thread, but in all honesty I haven't had the time to keep up. You ladies chat too much! Especially that Janet! :lmao: ;)
Hope I didn't miss anything crucial! But here's :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: :hug: all around! Gotta go get ready for the BIG trip!!! In exactly 1 week, I will be setting foot on the Mother Land!!! :worship: :banana: :yay: :woohoo:
We don't do those here but if you're all happy and she wants to do it, go for it :thumbsup2
Tonight a friend who hasn't spoken to me since before school was out, stopped by with her kids. Remember the "friend" who wasn't happy that I didn't have my ds go to her ds's b-day party...? That is the ONE who came over! :eek: She also told me that SHE IS PREGO! :eek: I want to be! (my DH is trying to cut me off at 2).:headache:
What did she want? Is it a definite no for # 3?
Well... IF he "Controls" the Situation it's one thing... but usually that's OUR Department... Soooo :rolleyes1
Katt, naughty naughty :rotfl2:
Dang! You guys need to go to chatter's annonymous!
They sure are :rotfl2: Good to see you again, hope all goes well with DS and so sweet about DD and her teacher, sounded like you had a nice lunch!
Jo - Are you going to pack today:rolleyes1
Yep, near enough all done :thumbsup2 Oh and I PMed T2 last week and she replied, she's had a very busy summer but will come back soon :thumbsup2
T2 Looks like she is gone :sad:
See above!
and then Ab's laptop decided to crap out due to Webkinz overload..............so finally back online!
Seriously????
Then I have tennis again late this afternoon.
Have fun, are you getting good now?
All I need is 2 more Readers on my TR
