I know. D was reminding the kids that we needed to get back to an earlier bedtime (vacation and company threw us all off) NOT because of school, but for rope drops! I converted him well!

No but they have decided on the area (Rye) they can't actually rent till the visas come through!

Uh huh, I just counted I got 10 boxes, saves me buying any I suppose, the girls got A&F sweaters and David got an A&F polo but that was his birthday pressie!

And I discovered facebook last night (i had a profile for a while and never used it) so now I'm wasting time uploading pics and adding to the profile. lol.

I've never gotten into that, I spend way too much time here, can't get another addiction



Well I just tidied the garden up, did some more ironing and cleaned a bit of the kitchen so I'm getting closer to the packing bit

If you ladies received an invitation for your daughter to enter a Pageant would You let her ??

Sara got an invite for "Miss Pre-Teen" Roanoke Valley. This is a Stepping stone in the Miss America Program and is for ages 10-12.

I am mixed whether I want her to compete. Can not guarantee an invite next year. Girls this age .. at the State Level USUALLY have been doing "Pageants" since they were in diapers.

Sara began doing them 3 years ago. She has not entered many... but has won all of them . SHOULD she win "Roanoke" she very well will get her can kicked all the way back home. BUT ...then again... sometimes the 1st timers take it all.

I can get sponsors.. but I will need to invest in a New Gown.

Pageant is next month.... late next month.

Why not? If she enjoys it and handles it well, I say go for it.
I think it's a great experience for her to have.

Not sure what I have missed today, but Good Evening Focker Friends! I spend the day buying Tap shoes for Tink and having lunch and a bit of shopping with friends from her preschool. Tonight a friend who hasn't spoken to me since before school was out, stopped by with her kids. Remember the "friend" who wasn't happy that I didn't have my ds go to her ds's b-day party...? That is the ONE who came over! She also told me that SHE IS PREGO! I want to be! (my DH is trying to cut me off at 2).


Katt- I say LET HER GO! If this is something she likes, PLEASE let her give it a try. Even if you really think she won't do well... You have to let her try! Small failures as children = strong adults! Maybe she will do great!

I've been MIA for two weeks and was dreading trying to catch up. I know you all say not to bother but I'm afraid of missing something exciting and then not understanding jokes made at the original poster's expense days later.

We've had a pretty busy last bit of summer. A friend and I talked about her getting her son diagnosed with OCD and ADHD. Our sons seem similar in so many ways and the pediatrician mentioned that I should keep an eye on him because he felt he had OCD tendencies. I got a surprise from the therapist (whom I love by the way so I'm very happy about that) that she feels he does have some OCD traits but that she's more concerned about his Asperger traits. WTH? I didn't sign up for that one! We have a three hour test scheduled for him next month and what looks like some work ahead of us. Of course I'm kicking myself for not taking him in a few years ago. Maybe we could have avoided some of the headaches and crying fits. I'm just crossing my fingers that the insurance doesn't give us the run around on any coverage.

The kids are now in school and I got to enjoy a 2.5 hour lunch with a friend. Neither of us could believe what time it was when we got up to leave. We were both just so glad to be without our kids. Plus my family won't eat sushi so I was glad to be loading up on it without comments from the peanut gallery about how gross it looked.

DD loves kindergarten and proclaims her teacher to be the best kindergarten teacher in the whole world.

More later, I'm trying to cut down on my post sizes.

Well, I slept downstairs in the spare bedroom last night. I had to get some sleep!! I don't know if SD kept Bob up or not. I was worried, since Bob has to work and all but he was adamant that I get some rest. OK!

Taking this one day at a time. Hoping that every day is a bit better. Today it's supposed to rain so I think the boys and I will play a board game. What are you guys doing?

Hi Mel... I did not sleep last night either... Another bad night with SD ??
Mom's Panic attacks were similar to your son. I am more of the caged animal.. so I do not believe that this mess is a HUGE problem. Mom took "Lorazepam (Ativan) " and I took it myself for a while,Till I found a way to control mine( which I shared with you) myself. I am surprised the Dr. Gave SD the drug he did. When you see the Dr. Next week ?? ( forgot when you see him.. sorry ) ask about the "Ativan".
Tiny pill... but it calms with out the "Come down" you can get on his current drug. And it acted quick.. Mom and I only took it WHEN Needed.



What am I doing today... Well Dawn may kill me if I miss the "Dis" as much as yesterday... I do have Dr. Appointment at 3:00 ... just a follow up no big deal. And I still have housework to do.. but right now I need some more coffee
