Well not much planned today and I never got around to reading TRs. The "Lovah" came over yesterday and we watched Toy Story 1 & 2 because he's never seen them.

I just got an e-mail about a position I applied for at the beginning of August! I had pretty much given up on it but they just sent me an e-mail today to set up an interview for next week. It is just a reception/office admin job at the university but it will pay a bit more than I get right now and I can still keep my current job (I can cut back on my shifts to 1 a week) for a bit of extra money. Not to mention I don't want to out and out quit my current job as I will want it for next year when I start school again. Anyways I am feeling a bit anxious now, but it is a good anxious. I am not going to get my hopes up as the competition will probably be fierce as everybody in town wants to work for the university. It would be great if I got it though.

I actually have some news to share, usually I am so boring and can only comment on others lives.

I just got an e-mail about a position I applied for at the beginning of August! I had pretty much given up on it but they just sent me an e-mail today to set up an interview for next week. It is just a reception/office admin job at the university but it will pay a bit more than I get right now and I can still keep my current job (I can cut back on my shifts to 1 a week) for a bit of extra money. Not to mention I don't want to out and out quit my current job as I will want it for next year when I start school again. Anyways I am feeling a bit anxious now, but it is a good anxious. I am not going to get my hopes up as the competition will probably be fierce as everybody in town wants to work for the university. It would be great if I got it though.

Oh no, I'm sure she'll be OK, I always made my girls do stuff if I'd paid for it!

Last night she showed her daddy her dance moves about 10 times and now is asking me when we are going to dance class again. Hopefully we are in good shape for next week.

I just had a phone call from a golfing friend who organises all the competitions, I'm playing in a competition with another lady and we have to play 2 other ladies, well we have to organise a day to play and my partner works so can only play Thursdays and Fridays and the 2 other ladies are both going on holidays so the days are restricted. Well I left a message that we could play on a certain date that they had given us but they phoned the organiser to moan we couldn't play Women hey

Well that's frustrating!

I thought I would have more time with Happy in sschool all day and Bashful 2 mornings but THATS NOT HAPPENING!!!!
I need to catch up on TRs so badly. I joined the gym last month and still havent gone not even 1 time

And that is exactly why I quit joining gyms. (not the time factor - the issue of paying and not going)

But as my mom says, they're working on getting him stronger, but we're not sure for what, and she also reminded her mom that at some point she (grandma) will have to let him know it's OK if he's just too worn out to go on. Mom has expressed that to him, but Nan hasn't. It's just sad all around.

Well, we went to FF but hadn't been there since Mother's Day. Today was supposed to be a 4, and when we first got there, around 9.00 it was. About 11.00, not so much. Rode Toy Story 3 times! Only once with fast pass. Then we rode ToT 3 times. No fast pass needed! I love this time of year! It was hot but a little overcast and a breeze. Thanks Ike. Does that sound like I'm bragging? I don't mean too!

When we were at DHS, I went straight to get a FP and there was a line. I got it and noticed that standby was only 20 minutes, so we got in the standby line and then rode it again later. DH missed the top 3 scores by 1000 points, but the 2nd time it jumped up so much, he wasn't even close. He has about 183,000. I can barely break 100,000.

Yes, that must be it. She is generally outgoing and talks to strangers all the time. I think it was just the new place and faces and she didn't want me to leave.

This totally made me laugh out loud.
I can understand that.
Right now dh wants to get a new car and I want to wait. I don't like our Expedition (hated it before the whole gas prices issue), but I like not having a car payment and if we have one, even a small one, I will feel too stretched on the budget.

Oh, and I forgot. Yes, the freezer was all frozen this morning. I threw everything away and bought rather a lot of frozen foods today.

We had this happen twice this year. Both times the door was not shut all the way.
Now we have this strange thing going on with our refrigerator. Every now and again we are seeing a puddle in front of the freezer side (it's a side by side). But it is strange because there is about a 4 inch gap from the fridge to the puddle. The puddle is long. We checked the pipes under the floor and there is nothing wrong there. We assume it is coming from the freezer, but I don't know. We turned the water off to the fridge and it still did it. It happens about once a week. At first we thought it was the kids, but once the puddle was there in the morning - before the kids woke up.

OK. I need some advice on how to respond to this. I got an email today from my aunt. Anyway, I just don't know what, if anything to say... Should I tell her that mom WOULD let go of care, if there was anyone to let go to? Or any money to do that? Should I tell her it wasn't mom who didn't want them in the house with grandma? Should I say, (and no, I know I shouldn't) "Since you don't have jobs, come back and take care of them, then, especially since you can't contribute to the helper's salary?" Or should I just say, "Yeah, we're all concerned," and nothing else?

My best friend called me today to let me know that there is an opening at the day care where she takes her 2 year old son. my godson...I might call tomorrow...I`m a little to bored with all 3 in school full time!

thanks all for the well wishes for our trip! we are soooo excited! my kids think we're leaving friday after school, but we're really leaving thu/fri 3am!! we're going to stay in savannah overnight fri, then leave around 5am to arrive in the motherland on sat am!!!

Well, I haven't yet booked anything. Wanted to sleep on it a bit. As of last night, I was 100% sold on CBR; All Stars always give me the heeby-jeebies from afar. But once there, I've liked them okay the past couple trips, so I'm floundering again. Mostly, I can't decide how much, if at all, we'll use the pool. THAT could steer me to CBR in a heartbeat!

I'm off to ponder some more...

I am stuck between 7 nights at CBR or 10 nights at ASMo or Pop for August. Either way it look slike I won't be able to pull off F & W Fest next year

I'm agreeing with everyone else. I would not tell her that grandma didn't want her moving in and that it was not your mom. That would give her an excuse to never help out again. At least now, you might could get a little help here and there.

Buy a boneless pork loin. Put in crock pot on low. Add 1/2 cup cranberry juice to bottom of crock pot. Pour some bbq over loin. Cover. Wait till dinner.
Serve with instant mashed taters.
Voila'!

I knew you would book something! Is CBR your fave mod? We like POFQ and POR, but I know those get a lot of complaints. We stayed at CBR once and found the bus situation terrible.

Good afternoon all. It is my first day back at work and let me tell you how it is going...IT SUCKS! My desk looks lke a disaster area, I have had 3 meetings this moring and 1 more this afternoon, and my feet are killing me becase it is the first time I have worn real shoes since August 18th.

I tried to win the PA Lottery's $1000 a Week for Life so I didn't have to come back...it didn't work

Jimmy didn't have such a great day at school yesterday. He kept trying to leave the classroom So far today he is doing great according to the principal, so we will see...

The top 3 scores yesterday were in the 200,000 and the high score of the week was 300,000 something. I've got to get much more practice!

Speaking of weather........
Two nights ago we had a power outage that last about 5 hours. We were having a bad thunderstorm. It went out about 4:30, dh got home at 6:30. I had him buy some batteries for the portable black and white tv. We watched it a little, but couldn't get good reception. Then we decided we needed to get out of the dark. We went to Target and Wal Mart. (our neighborhood was the only one without power) We wanted to get a better battery operated tv. Apparantly they don't make them anymore or no one carries them.

Thanks Lessa (and everyone else too!) My culinary skills are limited. Not extremely but, still.
Buy a boneless pork loin. Put in crock pot on low. Add 1/2 cup cranberry juice to bottom of crock pot. Pour some bbq over loin. Cover. Wait till dinner.
Serve with instant mashed taters.
Voila'!

I plan on making a pork roast next week in the crock. I use a jar of raspberry preserves and some raspberry balsamic vinegar...easy and yummy and sounds a lot fancier than it is.

So today KC crawled back into bed claiming it a sick day. He is still in bed sleeping and its 2pm. I am pretending he's not here so I don't feel guilty being loud- stupid studio apartment. I don't imagine anything will get done today really. I need to go buy stamps and have my eyes on a purse I saw last week...I may have to go buy it...otherwise I'll probably be in and out all day!

hi T!! just wanted to say your spreadsheet idea for packing clothes is just fabulous!!! i packed regan's clothes. well, everything from my spreadsheet (plus more ) was in her suitcase. i'm looking at it like, okay this is not enough clothes!!! i had to walk away from the suitcase to keep from putting more clothes in!!! wow, i completely overpack, but not this time , thanks to you girlfriend!!
