Not open for further replies.
Last night she showed her daddy her dance moves about 10 times and now is asking me when we are going to dance class again. Hopefully we are in good shape for next week.
That sounds very promising :thumbsup2

Oh and :welcome: to all the new Fockers. I'm "T" and I'm a part-time Focker.
You're not a part-time focker T  Good to see you BTW!

The temp agency called me about a job with a CPA firm. They asked if I can speak Spanish. I said, mais oui, but only when I am drunk.
Oh K :rotfl2:

I did it - booked CBR. I just couldn't bring myself to book All Stars; something kept saying "don't do it!" and I listened!
When for????

Either way it look slike I won't be able to pull off F & W Fest next year:sad2:
You can stay here and chat with me :thumbsup2

Good afternoon all. It is my first day back at work and let me tell you how it is going...IT SUCKS! My desk looks lke a disaster area, I have had 3 meetings this moring and 1 more this afternoon, and my feet are killing me becase it is the first time I have worn real shoes since August 18th.

Me either but my godchildren are coming tomorrow! Here's a picture of them to remind you of how cute they are. :goodvibes
Angela they are very cute, have fun with them :goodvibes

Speaking of weather........
Two nights ago we had a power outage that last about 5 hours. We were having a bad thunderstorm. It went out about 4:30, dh got home at 6:30. I had him buy some batteries for the portable black and white tv. We watched it a little, but couldn't get good reception. Then we decided we needed to get out of the dark. We went to Target and Wal Mart. (our neighborhood was the only one without power) We wanted to get a better battery operated tv. Apparantly they don't make them anymore or no one carries them.

Aren't we pitiful!
Not at all, do they do wind up stuff there? How about a laptop, no that wouldn't get TV reception would it

Any news from Jodi? I`ll go e-mail her now...:surfweb:
Let us know how she is :goodvibes

I am pretending he's not here so I don't feel guilty being loud- stupid studio apartment.
Any more thoughts on moving?

Well both girls are at Guides, Ellie started tonight so I have 1.5 hours of peace :thumbsup2

Kat- What about crockpot godess? :lmao:

Jo- OMGosh! Those are so beautiful!!! :cloud9: Can you give us the details on what that was all about? Was it a package you purchased?

Jo, those are beautiful!!! thanks for sharing them with us!!:goodvibes I think my favorite picture is the one on the hammock with all of you.

Is Guides like girl scouts?

Dawn it was the photopass photoshoot that they offer at quite a few hotels. They've just put the price up but we were lucky and because I prepaid for my PP at a cost of $99 I could buy the shoot for $25. The session lasted for about 30 minutes and he took over 100 photos (after reading reports on the PP thread I know we were very lucky) they were then all added to my PP CD so I could add borders etc if I wanted to, I actually didn't as I thought it would spoil the photos!

Jo, those are beautiful!!! thanks for sharing them with us!!:goodvibes I think my favorite picture is the one on the hammock with all of you.

Is Guides like girl scouts?
Thanks Carrie it was so funny getting us all into the hammock :rotfl2: And yes Guides is like your Girl Scouts

Aww, they're adorable!

I meant to ask you how the weather is in Mid October down there? hot and sticky? or fall like? I`ve only been in May and Sept, and November when I moved to West Palm.
Still hot and sticky, but not quite so much as summer... I'd put it close to May.

See now you have me scared about All Star Movies! Did you book one of the pirate rooms?
Sorry! Let me say, it's not that All Stars have ever been gross, more that their parking lots seem a little dicey and I'm never in a room close to parking. I never feel safe walking around there, and especially so with just me and Leo.

Nope, the pirate rooms won't open until Jan. :sad2:

OK I know this is a TR spoiler but I just posted them on the photo shoot thread and couldn't post them for others to see and not my favourite DISers :goodvibes
Jo, they turned out beautifully! I LOVE the one of you guys in teh hammock :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

When for????
Oct. 4!

ETA: LOL, look, it was totally meant to be! New Pool at CBR open!

Jo, I love the photos! I would love to do the photo shoot at the Polly. I agree - the hammock shot is my favorite!

/
Jo, those pictures are GORGEOUS! And Ellie has just about the cutest dimples I've ever seen. :goodvibes

V, you so totally rock. :thumbsup2

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Okay, I need some input. MNSSHP....I need a costume. :confused3 Help me.

Last night she showed her daddy her dance moves about 10 times and now is asking me when we are going to dance class again. Hopefully we are in good shape for next week.

Woohoo!
We had this happen twice this year. Both times the door was not shut all the way.
Now we have this strange thing going on with our refrigerator. Every now and again we are seeing a puddle in front of the freezer side (it's a side by side). But it is strange because there is about a 4 inch gap from the fridge to the puddle. The puddle is long. We checked the pipes under the floor and there is nothing wrong there. We assume it is coming from the freezer, but I don't know. We turned the water off to the fridge and it still did it. It happens about once a week. At first we thought it was the kids, but once the puddle was there in the morning - before the kids woke up.

That's really weird. Would it be the icemaker line inside the fridge? :confused3

How's it going around here?

The temp agency called me about a job with a CPA firm. They asked if I can speak Spanish. I said, mais oui, but only when I am drunk.

:rotfl: I probably would have said, "Oui, parlo espanol."

I did it - booked CBR. I just couldn't bring myself to book All Stars; something kept saying "don't do it!" and I listened!

Woohoo - this is for F & W?

I'm agreeing with everyone else. I would not tell her that grandma didn't want her moving in and that it was not your mom. That would give her an excuse to never help out again. At least now, you might could get a little help here and there.

Yep, I answered her - I'll copy it below - and already got a response. A nice one. So thank you all.

They're so cute!

Apparantly they don't make them anymore or no one carries them.

Aren't we pitiful!

We have a generator now, but before, I'd always pop movies into the laptop until it ran out of batteries. :rotfl:

The Julia Child of the Fockers. I would say Martha Stewart, but she's a criminal. Julia was only a spy during WWII ;)

::yes:: I heard that on "Wait, Wait" a few weeks ago. Weird.

OK I know this is a TR spoiler but I just posted them on the photo shoot thread and couldn't post them for others to see and not my favourite DISers :goodvibes

I LOVE the hammock one, but they are all so good!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's what I wrote to my aunt:
It's just hard. I think we all probably agree that a nursing home or assisted living would be best, but it's my understanding that Medicare won't pay unless a doctor says they have to go, and then it's only for 90 days. So the house would have to sell, etc. before all the care CAN be turned over to someone else, as their Soc. Sec. isn't enough for even a month at the nursing home. So in the meantime, what can you do? I know Tally's been a great help, but of course she also has to be paid. It's too bad the financial situation isn't better.

Mom said she and Nan had a good talk on Monday about "what's next" and Nan seems resigned that he may not be released home, and they did talk about maybe having to do something other than their current house if he is able to go "home" at some point.

In the meantime, I guess it just is what it is, because I don't know what any other solution would be, with the money issues.

It's hard. There doesn't seem to be an easy answer.

C.

and so this is what I got back:
Thanks for writing back. I hope the boys are having a wonderful day at school! It's good you talk to your mom, I am sure that helps her so very much. It's also good to hear that she is discussing things with Millie (grandma). I am quite sure this situation will work out one way or another. I did talk to your mom last night, and it was good to hear her voice. She says she is better, but still tires easily at times. She goes to the Dr. this week so hopely it will be good news that she is on the mend.

I hope that you have a good week, CE. How is D doing???? Give the boys a hug and thanks again for writing. I appreciate it......... love, Aunt Linda

Not really an answer, but she's not mad and she seemed happy that I at least said SOMETHING back.

So again, thanks for all your advice and help. :grouphug:

Any more thoughts on moving?

First off Jo those photos are just beautiful!!!!!

We pretty much got screwed when we owed taxes from the year before, that dipped into our moving money. Now we are trying to pay off the one credit card we consolidated to and add bit by bit to the moving fund. We'llg et out of here eventually, but it's looking like it won't be until KC changes jobs and makes more $$.

Kat- What about crockpot godess? :lmao:
