Tatoos - Have them, know someone that does?

It seems to me that everybody under a certain age has a tattoo these days. Part of that is living in an area where there is a heavy tattoo population. So do you have a tattoo? Or do you know somebody with a tattoo?

I have 3 - an Eye of Horus on my right leg, the symbol from Duran Duran's "New Moon on Monday" video and a tribal sun (for "(Reach Up for the) Sunrise") above that on my left leg. I have plans for 2 or 3 more...the word "Nevermore" in a 19th-century handwriting, I just don't know where to put it; and either a black rose or the goth Tinkerbell on my foot. Not sure on those last two, but I definitely want the "Nevermore."

DBF has one, a "backwards" Superman logo on his arm. The "S" is yellow and the "triangle" outline is red, that's why I call it backwards. His sister has three - I'm not sure of what they all are, though. I know she has an arrowhead over her heart - she used to wear an arrowhead necklace for good luck, but the chain kept breaking, so she got it tattooed. And their older brother has a tribal armband.

I have one tatoo, but I wouldn't mind another. Right now, I have an orchid on my right hip. Like I said, I would like another, I just don't know what I want, or for that matter, where.

Dh has three. One on the left pectoral muscle (a lion, he's a leo), one on the right shoulder, a turquoise and dark blue sun, and one on his left forearm, not really sure what that one is, just a design. He REALLY hates the one on his forearm because he can't cover it, but, its there now, so oh well!

I have six tattoos. I have the logo from Les Miserables as my tramp stamp (lower back), a heart (Vday gift) on the back of my neck, a hibiscus on my inner right ankle, a memorial rosary on my inner left wrist, a heart on fire on my lower sternum (between "the girls") and a memorial dove on my right shoulder.

My mom has one (got it in her 30s), my sister just got her first one this year (she's 22) and my aunt had one (the memorial dove is the tattoo she had on her ankle). To my knowledge, we're the only inked ones in my family.

I don't have any (way too scared of needles to get one done!!) and no one in my family or close friends have one. I do have several other friends of varying ages that do have them though.

I have one, a tribal butterfly tramp stamp. I have another one in the process of being designed by DD21, it will have Tink and my girls' initials with flowers and vines, I want at least 1 more but they are just in the thought process right now.

I don't have one, but I know a lot of people that do. I never really saw the appeal of them. If I ever decided to get one, it would probably be hidden. I would never want to deal with having to hide a visible one for work.

I have 3, I got the first one when I was 18 (back in 1978). I was talking to the tattoo artist and at that time he said that he did maybe 3 or 4 tattoos a year on women so I guess it wasn't that common.
I have a rose with a butterfly landing on it on the inside of my right thigh, a shamrock on my right ankle, and shooting stars on my back right shoulder. All of them can be covered if needed.

Yes, I have a tattoo on my right ankle on the outside. I got it the November after I turned 18 in July. I completely regret doing it though. It's like my body is tarnished

I am fine with anyone having whatever tattoo they want, as offensive as it may be too but I really wish I didn't get one now

Oh well, maybe I'll get it removed one day but no hurry, it's not a bad tattoo... if it was a tramp stamp though, that would be a different story, I'd have that removed right away!

I have one - on my lower back. It is tribal work - actually it is the crown that Arwen wears in Lord of the Rings, so I'm sure it is something that no one else has (hopefully!! haha). That's what I wanted, not something that a lot of people would have. Sometimes I think that I want another one but I don't know of what and where I would want to put it...
