Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

I loved the pics of dtd we had a 7:00 dinner reservation at T-rex last year and by the time we were done River was to tired to walk around and dh was cranky from driving all night the night befor so I didn't get to look at anything:sad1:
Is Hunter still happy with his robot? Can't wait to see what happens at Epcot!

Great update. I really want to spend some more time in DTD. I've been there a few times, but I would love to explore without restrictions. I need a 2 week trip! LOL!

Hey Lisa! Looking forward to more! Hope you are having a great day! :)

Sorry I'm just now getting around to posting. It's been pretty busy aroun our house and at work.

As you know, I've been away a couple of days and trying to catch up on everything. That is an awfully long time to wait for a bus. This is why Mark and I rent a car when we arrive in Orlando and drive to all the parks and to Downtown Disney. I don't like buses (used to take them all the time in Chicago for high school and work) and just like the convenience of having a car (and since we are early risers and at the parks for rope drop we park real close up front and don't have to take the tram or anything).

I couldn't believe that one of the most expensive resorts had the worst bus service. Had I been staying at the Contemporary and the buses run like that, I'd have pitched a little fit right in front of the resort manager.

We used to drive to the parks all the time but John would rather take a bus.

I was laughing because I can picture you and your family running and bobing and weaving between people but never touching them!!!LOL:rotfl2:

Oh we were doing some bobing and weaving. I should have had a football under one arm and my other arm outstretched.

Yes, just been really busy. We had our trip to disney, then the holidays, and my sister in law is pregnant (1st on both sides of the family ours & hers) and due next month.

Wow glad the show was so good since it took so much work to get too it.

I'm glad that you're back. How was the trip? I know that I'd love to read a trip report (hint, hint).

Downtown Disney is a great place to just walk around and look at everything. I actually didn't spend that much money at DTD this year which surprised me.

Hunter loves his R2 D2 and still plays with it often. It's really neat, you just say something like "Hey R2, Do you know Darth Vader?" and R2 starts lighting up and going back and forth like he's scared. It's cool!

I bet we had gone to Disney 7 or 8 times before we ever went to Downtown Disney. Now, it's one of those "must dos" on our list. It's a neat place to visit.

Great update, Lisa! I love the photos of the stuffed Mickeys & Minnies. I also agree with you about wanting to buy one of everything in the Christmas store!!!

all caught up, again...sorry haven't been giving the computer the time I use to...
so sorry to hear about the stressful trip to DTD... but, you had a really great evening afterwards that is what matters...right! why would someone wear heals anywhere in WDW....I love the picture of Hunter watching TV and holding his bag...enjoy those little moments; so cute!
Ooooo! I did not go in the Christmas store I don't know if I could be so good as to not try to walk out with one of everything :lmao:

Have a great day!
:wave2: Connie

Ok I'll try to get a trip report up. I had posted my pre-trip before we went, but that was all I got done.

Hey everybody! Sorry I haven't been around today. I thought I'd get at least a short installment posted today but work was busy. As some of you know, I get off work at Noon on Friday and once I get home, I start doing those "homey" things. Things like washing clothes, cooking, clearning, etc.

Lacey and the girl Mission students are coming to the house tomorrow. I am so excited! They are traveling from Georgia to Texas and have to come down I-20 right through our town. Lacey talked the leaders into stopping at our house for the night. So, tomorrow, I will have an extra 11 people sleeping over.

I hope I can post something Sunday. Hope everybody has a good weekend!

Sounds like a fun weekend! And Busy!

I thought I'd pass this info on...I went to Target yesterday and they have/had(I took the last one at our Target) Frommers Disney books (pocket size) in the dollar bin! I got it and also a book about 100 olaces you should take your kids before they grow up. But when I checked out, they had charged me $2.50 each, and I knew they were a dollar from another Diser here. So I got them price adjusted and refunded. But I thought I'd pass it along to any of you who may hit a Target this weekend. Sounds like they are going fast though.

man I wish I could get there for that great dal
but looks like we are going to be snowed in this weekend too

When I saw how neatly the Mickey and Minnie's were sitting on the shelves, I knew I had to take pictures fo them. Normally, kids have gotten their hands on them and they are falling over.

If only I was a rich woman. I could go crazy in the Christmas store.

At least you're all caught up now. I did good by not buying anything in the store.

Ok I'll try to get a trip report up. I had posted my pre-trip before we went, but that was all I got done.

I didn't even see your pre-trip report. I'm going over to read that while we wait for you to start your trip report.

I was so busy this weekend, I couldn't get over to Target. I bet everybody's snapping them up if they are only $1.00!

Snowed in! Oh my, it's just cold and wet here. No snow:headache:

When I last left off, we had done a little shopping at Downtown Disney. Hunter had gotten his robot R2 D2 and I had bought my boss a "I'm Surrounded By Idiots!" push button. (I sometimes wish I hadn't because I have to hear him push the one on his desk at least two or three times a day.) We hopped a bus back to the CBR to drop off our purchases and pick up Lacey.

I can't remember what time it was when we got to Epcot but I'm thinking it was around lunch time. The first thing we did, was hop on Spaceship Earth. We didn't get to ride it the first day at Epcot because the lines were super long. This time, we lucked up and the line was fairly short. I liked the new touchscreen thingies on the ride vehicles now. I think it's a great addition because the ride got boring at times. I know I have pictures somewhere but I can't find them on photobucket right now.

Other than riding Spaceship Earth and our dinner plans at Coral Reef, we didn't really have a plan of action. We decided to wing it. The first day we were in Epcot, Living with the Land boat ride was closed. I didn't remember seeing it on the refurb list but, apparently, it was. I wanted to walk over and make sure it was still closed because if it wasn't, we were going to ride it. We also wanted to see Honey I Shrunk The Audience if we didn't have to wait too terribly long.

We headed off in the direction of The Land and just before getting there, I found a castmember and asked if Living with the Land was still closed. They told me yes. Bummer! So, we started walking towards The Imagination pavilion. When we got there, we found out that the show had just started. Bummer! What now?

How 'bout a picture?

Lacey wanted to see if she could find a vendor selling the roasted cinnamon sugar almonds. Hunter wanted something to drink. John had to go to the bathroom and I did too. This whole "going with the flow" touring plan wasn't working out so well. I felt like first timers who just stood there looking around, wondering what to do next. I knew there was a reason why I tried to plan out our days.

So we started walking again. John and I took our potty break. I was out before he was. And, they say women are slow in the bathroom. You can tell we were just in a semi-bored/what do we do now mood:

Hunter and I watched a castmember feeding this little squirrel. He actually called him by name. I don't know if he really was named or if the castmember was just playing it up for this family from Japan who was watching too.

Once John had rejoined us, we went in search of the drink and cinnamon almonds. Didn't take us long to find them! I can't remember why we went to two different vendors but we did.

Hunter got a boring Sprite and John and I got a boring Coke to share, thus no pictures.

Now that we were refreshed, we decided to check out Innoventions. We usually try to tour the Innoventions buildings on our second day since we see most of the biggies on our first day.

The first thing we saw were these music playing pieces of construction equipment. It's hard to describe them. You used these levers to move large pieces of equipment over to play musical instruments. Lordy, I hope ya'll have done it/seen it before because I'm doing horribly at describing it. It was a bit boring after a few minutes. Hunter spotted the Piggy Bank Adventure and he and Lacey went over to do it while John and I sat and waited. I took a few pictures from our bench. They aren't so great but pictures nevertheless:

John's sweet tooth started itching so he started digging around in my bag to see if there was anything to eat in there. This is what he found:

That's not exactly the way he found it. He found it with both ears intact. This is after he had taken a bite.

**I know this is a short installment. Both the boss and I are sick. Stuffy noses, burning eyes, coughing, etc. That's what we get when we use each other's phones and pass papers back and forth between the two of us every day. So, we will probably shut the office down a little early today. Depends on whether or not we get our one deadline out early.

It is kind of silly, since your TR is on page 185 already, but I just started reading it. I have epilepsy too- though am only on 1 drug. It amazes me how much John's meds cost.

OK, back to reading... I'm only on page 16, but hooked!

Not silly at all! I welcome new readers! Lucky you being on just one epilpesy drug. I wish John could be on just one! Feel free to post comments. I love hearing them.

I actually do think that the squirrel is named. When I brought my little brother to get his mask decorated in the Canadian Pavillion, a squirrel came up to the CM and she told us a whole story about how they named them. I don't remember the names but it was pretty funny. And like they always say, the Disney Animals are always friendlier.

I've been good. Still playing basketball...and senior year is almost over. Can not wait for college and my 1st spring in college I will hopefully be doing the Disney College Program.

I think I remembered reading that too. Wasn't it over on the food picture thread?

Glad to hear that things are going well with school. I tried to talk my daughter into doing the Disney College Program but she was dead set on doing her missionary work. Guess I can't fault her for that.
