See, while the number seems pricey, I doubt it's high enough for Disney to make it work. Deluxe resorts easily surpass $500 per night, so add every meal, interactive story elements and park admission, the $1,000 seems rather low per person.
This is the point I made back in the beginning of the thread. I think it's priced too low.
On the other hand, a lot depends on the size of the "boutique" hotel as well as how deep the experience goes. The theme and decoration is a one time cost. I'd assume any droids they have roaming around are simply extensions of things they've already built for SWL. Characters primarily appear at meal time, but maybe you have one or two different ones at all times within the hotel as part of the adventure. The flexibility of the experience would determine how many CMs are needed. If it's a common time, scavenger hunt, breakout type experience you may not need too many extra CMs. Most of the CM supervised portion could be done at common meal times and common "adventure" times, which is why the meals are included, but the bulk of the adventure is directed "free play" time where you search the hotel and SWL for items or clues necessary to complete the adventure. If any one has done MagiQuest with your kids, think of that kind of thing built into SWL and the hotel, but only accessible by people with the Magic Bands denoting boutique guests and 1000x better in storytelling and world building.
A couple dozen computer terminals set up within SWL that respond to and give participants special instructions and deepens the story would go a long way to making the experience without further manpower. Those same screens can be used for a different experience for regular guests. Give certain people at the SWL gift shop and other places a job as "helper", providing clues for people who are stuck or lost, but mostly they do their regular jobs, and the CM cost is pretty low. Basically you have the over-arching adventure, with CM needs mostly at meal times plus one time in a special gathering place within SWL itself. Then you have 4 different experience type gatherings, lightsaber training, pilot training, walker training and maybe something less adventurous. If you've divided the occupancy into 4 groups for the "adventure", so that meal times are assigned easily, you can use the same 4 sets of CM minders to run one of each experience at other times.
Either way, I'm picturing a 50-100 room hotel with room for growth if it proves profitable in the long run. I also think if it proves successful, it's an expandable concept. A Pandora boutique would be the obvious place for a similar adventure, especially if the sequels prove to be lasting hits. But it's a slam dunk to start with SWL with the rabid fan base that is known for spending money.
