I'm trying to decide which tickets to buy for our trip this summer, and am considering buying a Seasonal AP + 1 day Epic Universe tickets. Can I purchase the AP's before we go, and then purchase discounted EU tickets beforehand? Or do we have to wait until we are there to activate the AP's in person? It seems like that was an issue for people last year before Epic opened, but we had AP's last year so I don't recall the details. Also, is there a way to see what the discounted price would be? Or is there a typical amount they're discounted? I'm looking at June 21st if that helps. Thanks for any assistance!

APs must be activated first. So I bought the Epic tix prior to our trip and went to a park and activated APs then went to guest services and got a refund for the AP discount price difference. It took forever but I did have four tickets for two days. I got back $217 total.

We did do all that on a bonus day. We didn’t start our park days until the next day. We actually started at Epic (stayed at Grand Helios for four nights) and then moved to Portofino Bay to do the other two parks.

It was annoying we had to leave the Helios property to do it and we hadn’t planned to. Wasn’t terrible though. Shuttle was easy.

Ok, thank you! It's good to hear they will refund the difference. Was your refund for 4 people for 1 day? Yeah, that stinks that there wasn't a ticket desk available at Helios.

I'm sort of confused? I have bought the AP for the first time for our trip in May. I understand you can pick up the AP at the resort (we are at RPR), and get them activated at the parks? Also I bought two days of regular Epic tickets with EP but did not get any refund as an AP. Is this automatic or do I need to do something else? Any other information on tickets would be helpful. These things seem so confusing sometimes:) Also, do you have to declare the actual days you want to use the Epic tickets?

The AP needs to be activated to get the AP discount on Epic tickets. Since some days to Epic sell out, many people don't want to wait until getting there and activating the AP and possibly not being able to buy Epic tickets at all. So they buy the full price Epic tickets earlier. If Epic tickets are still available upon arrival (Epic is not sold out) they can stop at guest services and ask for a refund of the AP discount. It is not automatic, the refund needs to be specifically requested.

You should look at your tickets - they will say which days they are valid. For multiday tickets, you do not need to choose which days or make reservations - you can just show up at Epic any two days when your tickets are valid,
