Made the mistake of waiting a day too long to get my tickets. Saw PHL to MCO for $221 for April 9-14 and didn't take them when I saw them. Now they are gone! Southwest doesn't have any fares listed for April . . . perhaps my last hope? Does anyone know when April ressies will be available? I'm about to cry! (I had to borrow a few points for this trip, so I've gotta' go!)

There have been rumors that Southwest will release schedules into April on December 22. Last year they released April and May schedules on December 9th. It really could be any day now. I am not-so-patiently waiting for April 30th to May 5.

I am waiting for those exact dates myself Pocahantas! :) Flying out of Hartford. I keep checking and checking...:( I hope they release it soon AND at a good price-

Has anyone actually called Southwest and ask for a release date? Or is this info they just won't provide?

I just called . . . the woman I spoke to said they don't know. She thought they would have had them already. So, it could be any day . . .

I called last night and was told it could be a few more weeks. Decided to look at Air Train website and quite a few new discounted flights opened between Baltimore and Orlando. We booked and got a very good rate. We really like SW but finally gave up!

We are renting a car and found a few great prices but were told that if we had to adjust more than a few hours the prices woud change. It was important for us to lock in flight times.

I think SWA may be loosing alot of people to AirTran and other airlines for the April and May time period. We had been waiting for Easter week to open up on SWA and I finally gave up and booked a good rate on AirTran. If it works out well I think we will continue too fly AirTran and avoid the Sothwest cattle call.

Everyone stop worrying SWA will have cheap flight opening soon They are not losing anyone they fill most flights to popular desinations. If they were worried they would make adjustments just as they have done before .

They are only one of a few airlines making money so they must be doing something right.
If you just keep checking you will most likely pay $79 each way if you get the first rate for your flights this is how it's been and will most likely continue.

So RELAX and enjoy your thought of your great vacation. It will be alright.

Dude,

I booked my faily of five on Spirit for our trip April 7-12. That's pretty much the same time frame. $148PP!!! That's $148PP including everything...period!

Now, we're leaving from NY LGA. I'm from Philly. LGA is only about 2hrs away. For the price, it's worth a drive, in my opinion.

They do not fly from Philly.

I read somewhere on another thread that the April dates will definitely open up on December 23.

I'm waiting for May to open up....I've heard rumor after rumor about the release date, but nothing yet. Just keep checking ;)

Also, as others have mentioned, Air Tran offers flights with comparable prices to SW, so you might want to check them out...

...or keep waiting (like me- impatiently!) ;)

Thanks! I did try Air Tran. They are well over $300 at this point. I'll wait patiently (or not so patiently)...

Check reguarly because one day several non stops opened for 84.00 from Baltimore. Prior to that, the 84.00 fares were unavailable.

Southwest does fly from Philly...now add in the cost of gas for the 2 hour trip each way.

I booked on AirTran for us MDW-MCO and back for Easter Week. I was getting nervous about waiting for SWA. I booked the Business class seats so they are completely refundable and I can change to SWA if I decide too when their fares are released.
