When I found our flight had changed a few nights ago and called Delta to get our seats reassigned I was slightly annoyed that we were now stuck in the back of the plane when our seats were originally in the front....now we were row 28....

anyway

today as I was doing my daily "better check to see if I need to get our seats assigned again" routine I saw that the flight they changed us to now had six seats across in the front of the plane available so I changed our seats.....row 6.

I think we may be losing those seats again and wonder if I should have left well enough alone....at least we were all together in row 28.......

Would YOU change back to row 28 if it was you? :scratchin

After you telephone to get seats reassigned after a schedule change, you can re-reassign and re-re-reassign your seats yourself on line at your convenience.

Also the back of the plane gets to the destination only a few seconds after the front of the plane.

I see no real disadvantage being in the back. It might take you a few more minutes to get off but thats about it.

Having the same issue..got reassigned seats in row 6 for our flight home from Tampa in May....I'm sure they'll get reassiged yet again.

Being at the back of the plane, you'll still be off the planeand at the luggage pickup before the luggage starts coming out.

I always pick the back of the plane. Of course, my "baby" is 18 so I don't have little ones to worry about and if we are not seated together, no worries either. We usually fly the small commuter jets with 2 on one side and 1 on the other. I purposely book us right behind each other on the side with 1 seat. Hubby is a bit on the "pooh" size of things and even though I love him dearly, sitting next to him on an airplane is a bit of a squish. "Sorry sweetie, no other seats available" :rolleyes1

While I do realize that the back of the plane arrives at the same time as the front :rotfl2: it is just a "thing" I have. I dont like flying and I dont feel as claustrophobic with less people in front of me.........

I guess the question I WAS asking is if anyone thinks I have a better chance of keeping our seats and keeping together if we were in the back of the plane as my understanding is that the planes may be being changed over to planes that have a first class section - in which case my row 6 seats may? disappear?

I have a question about changing the seats? :confused3

Delta has changed our flight once back in January for a Nov. trip, and now they have changed it for the 2nd time.

I looked online yesterday and it shows that Delta changed our flight, but it also shows our seats as "schedule change" & I think it also shows "not confirmed". Can I go online and change our seats without being charged since Delta changed our flights? I really didn't want to call them again, it's just a pain. :hourglass

any suggestions here?

Thanks !

I checked mine earlier today and found that my flight numbers and times had changed,we were now on a Delta flight instead of Song, and our seats were listed as unassigned. I called Delta and they said our seat assignments were all still there but I couldn't see them because of the systems were still transitioning. They sent me new confirmations with the new flight numbers and it still has exactly the same seat assignments as before.

If the seats are NOT confirmed when you log on to check them, you HAVE to CALL UP and confirm them.
If the seats are confirmed when you log on to check them, you CAN change them on line.
I check twice a day to see if our March 31st and April 7th seats are still there so we can sit together. They've cancelled our flights twice and they've changed the times at least once a week since October.
Last year American Airlines changed our flight times 3-4 times the week before our flight; so it's not just Song/Delta that changes flights.
Good luck all,
Joe

Not sure when you are flying, but after May 1 Delta is going to start to reposition the 757 to longer flights and add back 1st class seats. Depending when that happens the chances are good that row 6 is going to be first class. Just do what the rest of us do check your flights daily and hope that the pilots do not strike and go chapter 7.
